Anwesha: Journey of Life to Hi-Knowledge
Placements: There are a total of 150 students in every batch. Our MBBS course is of 4.5 years and 1 year of internship/house surgeonship. In 1st year: anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry. In 2nd year: pathology, pharmacology, and microbiology. In 3rd year: community medicine and forensic medicine. In final year: general medicine, surgery, OBG, pediatrics, psychiatry, otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology, radiology, dermatology, and orthopedics.
Infrastructure: There are 5 lecture theatres (LT) with a seating capacity of 180 students. There is a central library equipped with free Wi-Fi connection. The library is study-friendly, equipped with a wide array of books from different foreign authors and published magazines. It is kept neat and clean, which makes it more adorable. The mess food is miserable. One has to sacrifice both taste and quality they serve. Hostel rooms are 3-seaters, but it is cozy with minimum ventilation and less floor space.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers and professors are highly qualified, elite, and knowledgeable. They are friendly and helpful. They teach every complex subject with ease. Yes, this course curriculum, though cumbersome, is a blessing in the future as it prepares students on how to deal with real-life situations, be prepared at their worst, and how to deal with casualties. There are 9 semester exams, and the college conducts semester 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8, which are moderately hard, and students need to achieve at least 50% pass marks in order to appear for the university exams.
Other: It has always been my passion to pursue a medical career, so I chose this course. This course prepares you to be strong enough to deal with community problems and real-life situations. The college needs to focus more on student development. Events and college fests are a mode of student entertainment in this rigorous learning process, and they need to be prioritized.

Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital, Bhubaneswar.
Placements: We don't have placements in our medical college. After completing the final year, every student is supposed to work as an intern in the hospital attached to our college. It's almost like a paid internship. We get a monthly salary of Rs.12,000 to Rs.15,000. Interns are placed across different wards in rotation. It ensures the necessary clinical exposure. The clinical exposure at our college is pretty decent. As the hospital welcomes and treats a lot of people from every socioeconomic status, it ensures a lot of patient-doctor interaction.
Infrastructure: I believe that the infrastructure of the college needs a lot of development. Construction work at campus never ends. Campus is not really big and we face some difficulty in finding our daily goods easily. We can have a vehicle for that purpose and it will make things easier. Laboratories are not equipped with adequate advanced instruments. A lot of practical topics remain up to theory only. Library facilities are really good, and that's the only nice part of our college.
Faculty: The administration is really strict towards academics. Frequent classes are conducted by experienced faculty members. All the professors are dedicated to their work. So, students study a lot in our college. College also is very strict towards students' attendance. It requires a minimum of 75% attendance to write the exams. Frequent one-on-one parent-teacher meetings are held, which help students who fail in any paper. It is strict but that's what makes us study.
Other: We celebrate different traditional festivals like Holi, Diwali, Saraswati Puja, and Ganesha Puja with all the enthusiasm at our college. During these festivals, the college organizes a lot of cultural and literature competitions. College also organizes an annual fest called PLEXUS. During this time, the vibe is completely different. Fest has a cultural competition, star nights, and a whole night DJ are organized which is a really fun time. About the development, I feel the campus needs to be expanded with better infrastructure.

Hi-Tech Medical College and hospital.
Placements: MBBS course is of 5 years now (new guidelines). In 5th year, we have a mandatory internship programme after which we get our MBBS degree Certificate. Placement is not there. We have to clear NEET PG exam to grab MD/MS course.
Infrastructure: Rooms are spacious with digital boards. Our library is big and is provided with AC and free Wi-Fi. Faculty members are also good and supportive. Hostel and canteen food is below average. Medical facilities are good. Medical students get free consultation from doctors when sick without any charges.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. Teaching quality is good. MBBS course is vast and relevant and it makes students industry ready. A bunch of great doctors pass each year. We have 2 semester exams and 1 final exam. They are tough and passing percentage is 50% minimum.

The campus is known for its lush greenery and serene environment.
Placements: The first thing about this college is that it is located on a very beautiful campus. The college is best for dentistry and very strict. Patient flow is very nice. As your going to be a doctor, this college teaches ethics and how to be a perfect doctor. 100 percent placements are offered.
Infrastructure: This is the main reason I took admission here. Our college campus environment is quite impressive because there is a lot of greenery with trees and flowers everywhere, and also the campus is very clean. Faculty members are skilled in their respective subjects, friendly, and very helpful. Personally, I like my English teacher, Karan sir. This college is still under development, so new buildings are being made. Classrooms are very spacious with CCTV cameras equipped. Some negative points are that our college is far from the city area. Our college doesn't have a gym and no proper canteen. Our college is in a rural area.
Faculty: In an overall experience, our college is really good. It has good faculty, good libraries, and infrastructure such as labs and hostels and workshops and site visits. There is a good library that contains a huge number of journals and IEEE papers. The good infrastructure and labs provide you with a better explanation of concepts. The placements are quite good. I feel bad for events that were very less.

Good college although not best. Comes under government counselling although private.
Placements: Around 15 out of 150 students clear PG exams in their first attempt. The packages are not like engineering; they depend on which state you are pursuing your PG. Students are given a stipend. Some also opt for state service, where they are employed on a contract basis, which can become permanent after passing an exam.
Infrastructure: Although you will get all facilities, they are not of high standards. The mess food is average, but the library is top-notch, albeit with limited seats. Regarding the hostel, it is good, well-ventilated with AC, clean, close to the college and mess. It is shared by 3 roommates and is spacious. The campus has 2 big cricket grounds and separate tennis and badminton courts too.
Faculty: Faculty members are good in some cases, while a disaster in others. Overall, it's okay. Exams are a lot in MBBS. Semesters take a toll, and by the time MBE comes, life goes on. Regarding faculty members, in medical college, it's not about having a good professor; it's about how much you study yourself. Remember to grasp the knowledge. Teachers are there only for help or to ensure the completion of the syllabus.
Other: Of course, MBBS will make you a doctor. Treat patients and enjoy life. Fests are conducted two times a year, three days each. And yes, you enjoy a lot during these days.

Its stipend during internship is very low.
Placements: As it's an MBBS college, we can easily get placed in any firm. We just need to clear the interview, and we will easily earn a salary above 40k. We need to apply for UPSC for government jobs for three years, or we can practice in private, even in the same college.
Infrastructure: The hostels are really good; you will get a separate bathroom for a room of three. But the food in the canteen is not at all worth it, though it's a centrally AC canteen; the food is worse. The labs are nice, classrooms have ACs, and the hospital is good but could be bigger. Patient outflow is not that high compared to a government college.
Faculty: The teachers are really nice and helpful, and the teaching curriculum is much better than in government colleges. We will have a total of 7 semesters and 4 MBEs. The semesters are hard, and we need to score a percentage of 50% in each subject. It's hard to crack, though with hard work it will get done.
Other: As MBBS has 100% placements in any college, I won't say it's a noble job, but at the end, it's always about the money. But at the same time, we can help others in need; yes, it's a very respectful job indeed.
