A good option for one seeking admission for a BDS degree.
Placements: Being a doctor is considered to be of very high esteem in our country. There isn't any placement or such in medical colleges, but rest assured when we pass out with a medical degree from such a reputable college there will be no shortage of jobs. One dentist can easily earn up to Rs. 50,000 per month according to their ability.
Infrastructure: HIDS has its own dedicated library with a vast collection of medical books. All reference books, medical journals, guidebooks, and much more are available for students starting from 1st year to MS. All the non-clinical subjects have their own assigned laboratories with enough infrastructure. Clinics contain all the modern equipment required for a dental hospital. All lecture halls are air-conditioned with modern projectors and under constant CCTV surveillance. Boys' and girls hostels are different, with 3 different canteens, 1 general shop, and one unisex parlor inside the campus. Maximum requirements of students are fulfilled inside the campus itself. Different playgrounds for football, basketball, volleyball, and tennis are available for the athletes. The food in mess is okay.
Faculty: Most faculty members in the 1st and 2nd years are Ph.D. holders, while faculty members in the 3rd and 4th years are medical doctors. The reason is subjects taught are different in 4 different years. Every faculty member have their own teaching style and it is enough for students to understand topics. Course curriculum is decided by university according to the clinical needs. Exams are quite tough, but previous years' questions and library books combined with notes are enough for preparations.

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty, nice curriculum and good infrastructure.
Placements: As BDS is all about getting a medical degree, you can start earning once you complete your internship and gain proper knowledge. It's a professional course, so you can earn as much as you can and can also apply for jobs in hospitals or else work as a junior doctor under a senior doctor. College does not provide any placement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is moderate, but faculty members present here are excellent. The college also has hostel facilities, and I would say they are manageable, not so lavish, but as a student, you can manage it. There are 2 mess and 5 canteens inside the campus, and the food is average.
Faculty: The best thing about the college is the faculty. It is one of the best colleges in Himachal Pradesh for the BDS course. Teachers are so helpful, and the curriculum is well-structured. Proper labs are there with all the equipment, and there is a hospital of the college for hands-on patient experience. Overall, the studies are good here.
Other: College organizes a fest and sports meet every year. Patient flow is decent in the college for hands-on experience.

Himachal Institute of Dental Sciences is a dentistry hub.
Placements: Placements depend on how you have been training yourself though many students clear the PG exams and are capable of opening clinics after UG as well as PG. But imterns and residents here do not get any stipend this is the drawback. The campus is huge.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good with the availability of 2 and 3 seater rooms in our college. They have wall fans in the classes. The lecture theatres have air-conditioners. There is the staired design of seat for focus on every student. The library is well furnished and it is the most desired place of students. It has all the books.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are awesome. Syllabus is finished on time. They give you every practical knowledge of the topic. Regular exams are held with regular vivas and send up honesty. Teachers guide you as if you are in school. Seniors are the best supporters.
