Full Review of Our College
Placements: In our B.Tech course, 65% of students have successfully secured placements. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, while the average package stands at 4 LPA. Our college attracts visits from renowned companies such as Wipro, TCS, Accenture, and various start-ups. These companies provide freshers with the opportunity to work as associate trainees.
Infrastructure: The facilities are good, and all classrooms are Wi-Fi enabled. The labs are also good, but the classroom buildings are not up to par, and the books in the library are limited. Hostels are available, but the boys' hostel is far from the campus, and the girls' hostel is on campus.
Faculty: In my electrical department, there are 50 students and 15 faculty members, including 4 lab assistants and 7 teachers. The student-to-teacher ratio is good. The teachers are very helpful to the students, and we can interact with them at any time. Exams in our college are a little tough.
Other: I chose this college because it’s got a lower fee than other engineering colleges. The best thing about the course is that it’s got future opportunities. In my college, the annual cultural and tech fest happen every year. The connectivity of the college is very good; it’s just 500 meters from the railway station. If you are from West Bengal, you can avail of the SVMCM government scholarship. The scholarship amount is INR 60,000 per year.

My Experience in the Last 2 Years at HETC
Placements: In my department, the placement rate is about 65%, with an average package of 3.5 Lacs. Students have been placed in Pinnacle, ABCI Infrastructure, among others. However, I am thinking of pursuing an M.Tech after completing my B.Tech degree. Our college provides some internships and also BCT training.
Infrastructure: In my department, there are 7 teachers and 3 lab assistants. They are very helpful to the students. However, the Wi-Fi facility is not available in some classes. I am not in the college hostel, so I can't review it. There is an annual sports event in our college with many sports like cricket, football, badminton, shot put, etc.
Faculty: In my civil department, there are 50 students and 10 faculty members, including 3 lab assistants and 7 teachers. The student-to-teacher ratio is good. The teachers are very helpful to the students, and we can interact with them at any time. Exams in our college are a little tough.
Other: It’s a dream to become a civil engineer. One of my brothers suggested this college to me. This course helps me a lot to connect with the real world. There are 4 CA exams, 2 PCA exams, and one final exam in a semester, and the exams are a little tough.

Don’t take admission! Hooghly Engineering and Technology College.
Placements: Students are placed by their skills. As our college is affiliated under MAKAUT, a huge number of students have backlogs, so they can't sit in the placement drives. Some of the companies like Reliance, Esaf Bank, Rashmi Group visited for placements. The average package is 3 lakh/year offered.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped, classes are good with good quality Wi-Fi connectivity. The canteen has a variety of food at a low price range. Not much sports are played, but the Annual sports meet-up, cricket tournament, etc. are organized from time to time. The boys' hostels are 1 km away from the college campus, but the girls' hostels are on the college campus.
Faculty: Not everyone, but some faculty members are really good. The Electrical department lacks a good number of qualified teachers. The semester exam difficulty level is moderate to hard, but can easily be passed if studied. But this also depends on luck because our university is reputed for their negligence in answer sheet checking, so it's based on luck to get passed.
Other: I chose this course according to my rank; I’m getting Electrical Engineering. Fests are well-organized every year. Campus life is poor, though. Now it’s up to you how you would utilize your college life.

Think about HETC. Everything you need to know.
Placements: The percent of students placed is almost 80%. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, TCS, Wipro, and Accenture. The top role offered was junior software engineer. The highest package offered was 16 LPA, the lowest package went to 2 LPA and the average package was around 3 LPA. The percent of students who got placement is very low.
Infrastructure: The facilities are good and all classrooms are Wi-Fi enabled. The labs are also good, but the classroom buildings are not up to par. And the books in the library are limited. Hostels are available but the boys hostel is so far from the campus and the girls hostel is on campus.
Faculty: The faculty members are well qualified. All of them are Ph.D. holders; some of them are also from NITs and IITs. They are so friendly and the teaching quality is very good. If I talk about the course relevancy, it's the same as at other colleges; it doesn't make you industry-ready; you have to put extra effort into the course curriculum.
Other: I chose this college because it's got a lower feel than other engineering colleges. The best thing about the course is that it's got future opportunities. In my college, the annual cultural and annual tech fest happen every year. The connectivity of the college is very good; it's just 500 meters from the railway station. Navigating Opportunities and Challenges: A Personal Review of B.Teach in Computer Science .
Placements: For the B.Teach in Computer Science programme, approximately 30% to 40% of students were placed during the recent recruitment cycle. The highest package offered was INR 6 LPA, while the lowest was INR 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Accenture, TCS, and Infosys, reflecting strong industry trends and opportunities for graduates. Internship participation was limited, with only about 10% of students securing internships at companies such as Codezin. Common roles offered to graduates include: Software Developed Data Analyst Systems Engineer Network Engineer These roles highlight the diverse career path available to graduates of the programme, emphasizing technical proficiency and problem-solving skills. Strengthening internship opportunities and further diversifying recruiting companies could potentially enhance overall placement rates and career readiness among students.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for the B.Teach in Computer Science department at our college are comprehensive and conducive to both academic and extracurricular pursuits. The campus is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity throughout, ensuring students have seamless access to online resources essential for research and coursework. Modern computer labs provide state-of-the-art facilities for practical learning, featuring the latest software and hardware configurations necessary for programming and software development tasks. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with advanced audio-visual aids like projectors and smart boards, facilitating interactive and engaging teaching sessions. The library boasts a vast collection of books, journals, and digital resources pertinent to computer science, supporting academic endeavors and research initiatives. In terms of amenities, the hostel offers comfortable accommodation with round-the-clock security and Wi-Fi access, fostering a safe and supportive living environment for students. The mess and canteen serve nutritious and hygienic meals, catering to diverse dietary preferences and ensuring students' health and well-being. Medical facilities on campus include a well-equipped clinic staffed by qualified professionals, providing essential healthcare services and emergency assistance as needed. Additionally, the campus provides ample opportunities for sports and recreation, with facilities for cricket, football, badminton, and table tennis, promoting physical fitness and extracurricular engagement among students. Overall, the infrastructure at our college supports a holistic educational experience, enhancing learning outcomes and student satisfaction.
Faculty: The quality of teachers, course curriculum relevance, and exam difficulty can significantly impact students' academic experiences. Effective teachers are typically well-qualified and knowledgeable, providing clear instruction and support. A relevant course curriculum integrated current industry trends and practical applications, preparing students for real-world challenges and making them industry-ready. Semester exams' difficulty varies, testing students' understanding and analytical skills. The pass percentage is influenced by exam rigour, students' preparedness, reflection on the college's academic standards, and the faculty's assessment criteria. For specific details, consulting official college resources or seeking feedback from current students and alumni can provide deeper insights into these aspects of the academic experience.
Other: I chose to pursue a B.I teach computer science because of my deep interest in technology and its potential to solve real-world problems. One of the best aspects of my course is its relevance to current industry demands, offering opportunities to delve into cutting-edge fields like artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Hands-on learning through practical labs and projects has been invaluable, allowing me to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. While the course provides strong career prospects, I wish there were more opportunities for internships or collaborations with industry experts to gain deeper practical insights. Enhancing the curriculum alignment with the latest industry trends and upgrading infrastructure for better learning experiences would further improve the course. Campus life is vibrant with events like technical and cultural festivals, and the support for scholarships and extracurricular activities has been instrumental in fostering both academic and personal growth.
