Full Review of Our College
Placements: In our B.Tech course, 65% of students have successfully secured placements. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, while the average package stands at 4 LPA. Our college attracts visits from renowned companies such as Wipro, TCS, Accenture, and various start-ups. These companies provide freshers with the opportunity to work as associate trainees.
Infrastructure: The facilities are good, and all classrooms are Wi-Fi enabled. The labs are also good, but the classroom buildings are not up to par, and the books in the library are limited. Hostels are available, but the boys' hostel is far from the campus, and the girls' hostel is on campus.
Faculty: In my electrical department, there are 50 students and 15 faculty members, including 4 lab assistants and 7 teachers. The student-to-teacher ratio is good. The teachers are very helpful to the students, and we can interact with them at any time. Exams in our college are a little tough.
Other: I chose this college because it’s got a lower fee than other engineering colleges. The best thing about the course is that it’s got future opportunities. In my college, the annual cultural and tech fest happen every year. The connectivity of the college is very good; it’s just 500 meters from the railway station. If you are from West Bengal, you can avail of the SVMCM government scholarship. The scholarship amount is INR 60,000 per year.

My Experience in the Last 2 Years at HETC
Placements: In my department, the placement rate is about 65%, with an average package of 3.5 Lacs. Students have been placed in Pinnacle, ABCI Infrastructure, among others. However, I am thinking of pursuing an M.Tech after completing my B.Tech degree. Our college provides some internships and also BCT training.
Infrastructure: In my department, there are 7 teachers and 3 lab assistants. They are very helpful to the students. However, the Wi-Fi facility is not available in some classes. I am not in the college hostel, so I can't review it. There is an annual sports event in our college with many sports like cricket, football, badminton, shot put, etc.
Faculty: In my civil department, there are 50 students and 10 faculty members, including 3 lab assistants and 7 teachers. The student-to-teacher ratio is good. The teachers are very helpful to the students, and we can interact with them at any time. Exams in our college are a little tough.
Other: It’s a dream to become a civil engineer. One of my brothers suggested this college to me. This course helps me a lot to connect with the real world. There are 4 CA exams, 2 PCA exams, and one final exam in a semester, and the exams are a little tough.

Don’t take admission! Hooghly Engineering and Technology College.
Placements: Students are placed by their skills. As our college is affiliated under MAKAUT, a huge number of students have backlogs, so they can't sit in the placement drives. Some of the companies like Reliance, Esaf Bank, Rashmi Group visited for placements. The average package is 3 lakh/year offered.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped, classes are good with good quality Wi-Fi connectivity. The canteen has a variety of food at a low price range. Not much sports are played, but the Annual sports meet-up, cricket tournament, etc. are organized from time to time. The boys' hostels are 1 km away from the college campus, but the girls' hostels are on the college campus.
Faculty: Not everyone, but some faculty members are really good. The Electrical department lacks a good number of qualified teachers. The semester exam difficulty level is moderate to hard, but can easily be passed if studied. But this also depends on luck because our university is reputed for their negligence in answer sheet checking, so it's based on luck to get passed.
Other: I chose this course according to my rank; I’m getting Electrical Engineering. Fests are well-organized every year. Campus life is poor, though. Now it’s up to you how you would utilize your college life.

Think about HETC. Everything you need to know.
Placements: The percent of students placed is almost 80%. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, TCS, Wipro, and Accenture. The top role offered was junior software engineer. The highest package offered was 16 LPA, the lowest package went to 2 LPA and the average package was around 3 LPA. The percent of students who got placement is very low.
Infrastructure: The facilities are good and all classrooms are Wi-Fi enabled. The labs are also good, but the classroom buildings are not up to par. And the books in the library are limited. Hostels are available but the boys hostel is so far from the campus and the girls hostel is on campus.
Faculty: The faculty members are well qualified. All of them are Ph.D. holders; some of them are also from NITs and IITs. They are so friendly and the teaching quality is very good. If I talk about the course relevancy, it's the same as at other colleges; it doesn't make you industry-ready; you have to put extra effort into the course curriculum.
Other: I chose this college because it's got a lower feel than other engineering colleges. The best thing about the course is that it's got future opportunities. In my college, the annual cultural and annual tech fest happen every year. The connectivity of the college is very good; it's just 500 meters from the railway station.
