Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad offers PhD (three-year) courses in regular mode and for working professionals as well. The full-time programmes are offered with institute and external fellowships. Admission is provided on the basis of marks in a written examination followed by an interview. The written test is conducted for admission to PhD (with institute fellowship) Candidates with BTech/MTech/BPharm/MPharm/MBA/ degree backgrounds can apply with CAT/GMAT/GATE/ CSIR NET/ UGC NET or JRF scores. Further, candidates with a CGPI of more than 8.0 from IITs/ IIITs/ IISERs/ and such institutions of National importance could be called for interaction/interview sessions directly by IIIT Allahabad.
IIIT Allahabad PhD Admission 2023: Fee, Eligibility & Selection Criteria
The online applications for PhD programme at IIIT Allahabad are invited from eligible students twice a year starting in January and July. PhD Scholars can also take up the additional assignment of ‘Tutor-cum-Research Assistant’ positions at IIIT Allahabad and will be compensated additionally with an additional fellowship up to INR 10,000 per month over and above their scholarship. The application process for admissions at IIIT Allahabad commences with online registrations and ends with the exam results announced along with the merit list. The selected candidates are eligible for the process of document verification and seat allotment. On successful completion of the registration process, candidates will be asked to make the payment of the prescribed application fee.
