Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the college placement scenario, & sports facilities are also poor
Placements: 30 to 40 percent are placed, including out-campus placements. The highest package offered is 56 Lacs (out-campus), the lowest is 8 Lacs, and the average is 12 Lacs. Top recruiters are Meesho. Fewer students get internships, and fewer companies visited this year compared to last time.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is good, but hostel facilities are poor. LAN and Wi-Fi connections are also poor, and there is no medical dispensary or hospital nearby. There is no sports ground for any specific sport, and they adjust 4 people in a room meant for 3 people.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified but not helpful, and some of the teachers are not knowledgeable. The first and second-year curriculum is not related to our course, and I don't think they can make us industry-ready. The semester exams are too difficult, and most of the students pass the exams.

Poor faculty, poor campus, no greenery, no sports ground, and no sports material.
Placements: 270 total in our first-year batch, both CSE and ECE. The average package is good because students here are hard workers. There is no distribution because there are no facilities such as sports material, clubs, festivals, or grounds. If you work hard, you will definitely get an internship or placement. Some recruiting companies include Nvidia, etc.
Infrastructure: Labs are available with helpful workers, you can get almost all the equipment for your course requirements, the internet connection in the hostel is sometimes very good but sometimes not, the washrooms are very well maintained, the food in the mess is nice, but on some days you cannot get expected foods but on rest days it was decent as compared to feels.
Faculty: Professors are very bad; some managing teachers are good and very helpful, but don't expect anything good from HODs; lab teachers are very helpful; very difficult semester exams need lots of hard work and are also very tightly checked; there are no exam centers; you have to give exams in lecture halls.
Other: Good classmates, very good competition, low campus crowds, decent fest (only 1), extremely bad connectivity, twenty kilometers away from the city with very expensive autos and cabs are there.

Bond between IIIT Kotak and a student.
Placements: Above 75% students placed in the year 2024–25 in ECE branch. The highest package is 53.6 LPA, the lowest package is 5 LPA, median package is 8 LPA, and the average package is 11.96 LPA. Nvidia, Wipro, Samsung, Infosys, Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, etc. are the top recruiters. Above 75% of students got internships at Infosys, GAP, Meesho, Flipkart, Amazon and some private companies as web developers, software developers, and designers.
Infrastructure: There is no WiFi service, only an Ethernet LAN. There is a lack of ECE labs and resources. They have just arranged some rooms for labs. The main thing is that we have academic and administrative departments. Those teachers attend our classes and administrative work simultaneously.
Faculty: All teachers are well qualified and their style of explaining concepts is very good and appreciable. The curriculum is also relevant for us as the basis of placement as well as industrial experience. I think this curriculum will be relevant for industry for the next 10 years. Semester exams are a difficult medium. Pass percentage is approximately 80% above.
Other: In the upcoming years, the semiconductor industry will grow widely, so I chose the ECE branch. It is interesting to learn and has a lot of innovation and creativity.

Good infrastructure, remote location, good seniors, and slightly lengthy curriculum.
Placements: The placement record is quite good; obviously, due to the recession, it was low for this year, but still, its around 12 LPA, and over 75% of students got placed. This college is much better than the other colleges you get around this rank. You don't need to worry, though; placement states have been good in the past and will only rise from here on for future batches.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good; the campus is very new so all the infrastructure is quite modern. You get comfortable beds, tables and chairs, and the hostels are also well ventilated and don't get too hot inside during the summers. The academic building is top-class; it has all the technologies you expect; there are well-equipped labs for everything; and the computer centre PCs are also very modern. The classrooms are all air-conditioned and well lit, with projector screens available in all of them.
Faculty: The faculty and course are decent I would say that some teachers are very arrogant and don't teach much and the syllabus is also lengthy; you would mostly be studying from YouTube video, but that's the case in all of colleges. The curriculum is same for both branches in the first year so you will feel exhausted studying some of the subjects.

Review of IIIT KOTA (Indian Institute Of Information Technology, KOTA).
Placements: Placements are nice and up to the mark, both in computer science and electronics. It is better than most of the IIITs and NITs. However, grabbing good placements is a skill that is developed in the course while having good will and determination. Only institutions can be seen as torchbearers of placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is also good. 24x7 uninterrupted LAN internet is provided. Labs and classrooms have AC installed. A 24x7 functional computer center is there. Sports facilities are also there, including indoor games. Mess serves decent-quality food. You also have a canteen, which is open most of the time.
Faculty: Faculty members are very experienced and knowledgeable. The curriculum is as per industry standards and very relevant, which plays an important role in getting placements. You have a GPA system here on a scale of 10. Exams are not that difficult. A minimum passing grade of DD should be attained to pass a course (35/100). The highest grade you can attain is AA.
Other: Overall, it is a very good college for doing the 4-year B.Tech. You will have a beautiful 4-year engineering career. Transport and connectivity are also good from the railway station.

Reality of IIIT KOTA!
Placements: Around 78% of students got placed in the ECE Branch year 2022-23 and a total of around 84% of students got placed in both branches. 25 LPA was the highest package offered where 11 LPA was the average and around 5 LPA was the lowest. Top recruiting companies include Toshiba, Samsung, Fampay, TCS, Yamaha, and many more. Almost 70 to 80% of the students got internships on the campus. Top roles include SDE, WebDeveloper.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are well-equipped and all the facilities are available. All the course-related Books and journals are available in the library. Wi-Fi is available 24 * 7 in hostels and in computer centers. Labs are too well-equipped although the equipment needs improvement as they are very old. There is no medical facility available in the Kotak campus, no sports ground no proper facility to play games, in the mess, there is a variety of food available but the taste is not that good and in the canteen snacks are available.
Faculty: Faculty here is well-qualified. Some of them are polite and helpful. Yes, of course knowledgeable. Teaching quality is Average. Semester exams are quite difficult as the curriculum is comparatively harder than other institutions. The pass percentage is about 80 to 85 %.
