Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Is IIIT Kotak worth it? Yes, it is if you want to join the software industry.
Placements: I am a student of IIIT Kotak currently pursuing B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. The placements of my college are above average, with more than 80% of students placed in top recruiting companies like Adobe, Flipkart, Samsung, Jio, Deloitte, etc. The highest package offered to a student is 65 lacs, and the average package is estimated to be about 10 lacs. Nearly 60% of students secure internships in companies like Meesho, Samsung, etc. The top roles offered in the course are SDE1, Data Analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: The labs have facilities of LAN, which provide internet. The classrooms have a ducting system that provides a cool breeze in hot summers. The library has an ample number of books in it. The hostel rooms are spacious, and all the necessary furniture like table, Bed, chair, etc., are present and are in good condition. The mess food is average according to me, but many others disapprove of this. Medical facilities are lacking in the college. Facilities for indoor games like carrom, chess, etc., are present, but outdoor games are in a developing stage.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is average according to me, but there is scope for improvement. The curriculum is updated and is in line with the current market conditions, which makes the students ready for industries. Semester exams are often difficult, and one has to study well to score well. However, the pass percentage is above 90%.

Not much satisfied; it's okay to join it according to IIIT for the future generation.
Placements: About 60-70% generally got placed in my branch. The highest package was about 53 LPA, and the lowest was 3.5 lakhs. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Meesho, and Samsung. About 50% got internships, and in the third year only some of the students got internships, while most internships are secured in the fourth year.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi service is not available. They provide LAN connections to all the students in the hostel and in the labs. Labs have good systems for CSE, and for ECE, all have the required instruments. Classrooms are good and clean with AC. The library experience is worse; not all books are present. Food quality is bad. The canteen is good. There are no medical facilities, and the sports and games culture is very limited.
Faculty: Permanent teachers are good. They are qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good. The course is curriculum relevant. Semester exams are at a good level. The pass percentage is 35%. Teachers may help in your difficult situations, and the curriculum is good to prepare for the industry level.

Placements are decent and college infrastructure is complete.
Placements: Although my branch is ECE, very few, or you can say negligible, core companies come here. Mostly, ECE students are recruited into software companies only. And top recruiters are Meesho, Gap, and Samsung. In the current year, 2024, only 30-40% of students got placed, but the placement season is not over yet. It will be good in the coming time. The infrastructure is fine. Classes are fully air-conditioned.
Infrastructure: Talking about the academic building, it is very well-equipped with all major facilities such as an auditorium with a capacity of 200, AC classes, lifts, fire emergency exits, labs, and others. Hostels are also good, but there is a shortage of hostel rooms. In the first year, 4 students accommodate in a room meant for 3 students. The gym is not good. For the sake of the name only, they have installed machines in a small room. Medical facilities are not present inside the campus, but we are hoping to get them soon. Mess food is average. Sports facilities are limited.
Faculty: Only some teachers are very good in their teaching. College study is not making students industry-ready. Only labs are sometimes worth doing as there is practical implementation of topics. Semester exams are decent. Some subjects like digital design and AI are sometimes difficult. The pass percentage is approximately 90 percent.
Other: College events are not that frequent, as mostly the college does not give a good budget, although Garba, Gravity, and technical events are eye-catching events for now. In the coming time, it will grow like anything. Campus connectivity to the city is very bad. Government buses are the best option to reach it. The campus is not fully built. Only the hostel, academic building, and mess canteen are present. The remaining campus is full of buses and empty space.

Absolutely dissatified because of facilities in sports.
Placements: The placement percentage for my course last year was 80%. The highest package offered was 83 LPA, the lowest was 8 LPA, and the average stood at 14 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Google, Microsoft, and Amazon. Android development is the most chosen specialization among students.
Infrastructure: The campus provides good network connectivity through LAN, though there are issues with personal networks. The classrooms are new and well-maintained. However, there is no central library, only a small one. Sports facilities are not good. The mess is decent, with food being okay most of the time and occasionally very good. Medical facilities are limited to just a van.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and good at their jobs. The curriculum prepares students to be industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately challenging, though manageable. The passing percentage is high, partly because some students use ChatGPT without the invigilators' awareness, which increases the average marks and makes it harder for average students to compete.
Other: Since IIIT Kota is newly established and was earlier linked to MNIT Jaipur, the facilities are still developing. A director will be appointed soon, and after that, IIIT Kota will operate independently. With new faculty and improvements, the college is expected to develop fully in the next 3-5 years.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the college placement scenario, & sports facilities are also poor
Placements: 30 to 40 percent are placed, including out-campus placements. The highest package offered is 56 Lacs (out-campus), the lowest is 8 Lacs, and the average is 12 Lacs. Top recruiters are Meesho. Fewer students get internships, and fewer companies visited this year compared to last time.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is good, but hostel facilities are poor. LAN and Wi-Fi connections are also poor, and there is no medical dispensary or hospital nearby. There is no sports ground for any specific sport, and they adjust 4 people in a room meant for 3 people.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified but not helpful, and some of the teachers are not knowledgeable. The first and second-year curriculum is not related to our course, and I don't think they can make us industry-ready. The semester exams are too difficult, and most of the students pass the exams.

Bond between IIIT Kotak and a student.
Placements: Above 75% students placed in the year 2024–25 in ECE branch. The highest package is 53.6 LPA, the lowest package is 5 LPA, median package is 8 LPA, and the average package is 11.96 LPA. Nvidia, Wipro, Samsung, Infosys, Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, etc. are the top recruiters. Above 75% of students got internships at Infosys, GAP, Meesho, Flipkart, Amazon and some private companies as web developers, software developers, and designers.
Infrastructure: There is no WiFi service, only an Ethernet LAN. There is a lack of ECE labs and resources. They have just arranged some rooms for labs. The main thing is that we have academic and administrative departments. Those teachers attend our classes and administrative work simultaneously.
Faculty: All teachers are well qualified and their style of explaining concepts is very good and appreciable. The curriculum is also relevant for us as the basis of placement as well as industrial experience. I think this curriculum will be relevant for industry for the next 10 years. Semester exams are a difficult medium. Pass percentage is approximately 80% above.
Other: In the upcoming years, the semiconductor industry will grow widely, so I chose the ECE branch. It is interesting to learn and has a lot of innovation and creativity.
