The MS programme is offered across three major specializations namely including Data Science, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and, Economics and Management.  The cousre curriculum is offered across four semesters covering all the important related to the specializations.     IIIT Lucknow offers an MSc course in Data Science that is offered as a regular course lasting for two years. The course offers students knowledge on analyzing and using large ddataand use data tolls. To secure admission in the MSc data Science candidates must have a Bachelor's degree (BA /BSc /BStat/BMath/BTech/BE or equivalent) with a background in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, o r Physics. Further, candidates must participate in the national-level entrance exam IIT JAM 2025 and secure a valid score. Candidates with a valid JAm score become eligible to apply via the CCMN counseling portal. The MSc seats will be allotted to students via the CCMN counselling. Candidates just have to accep the seats and pay the IIIT Lucknow MSc course fees to finalise the admission.

    Q:   Which entrance exam does IIIT Lucknow accept for M.Sc course?

    A: 

     IIIT Lucknow conducts admission to the MSc course via the Centralized Common Counselling. The CCMN counselling process is conducted based on IIT JAM 2025 scores. Thereforem, candidates must participate in the IIT JAM 2025 exam to be eligible for the MSc course. IIT JAM 2025 will be conducted on February 2, 2025 for admissions to the Masters degree programmes in 22 IITs and other result-sharing institutes. The exam will be held in two shifts i.e., the forenoon for Chemistry, Geology and Mathematics subjects and the Afternoon shift for Biotechnology, Physics, Economics and Mathematical Statistics Subjects.

    For MSc admission to the International Institute of Information Technology Lucknow, candidates must have an undergraduate degree (of at least three years duration) in any discipline (including arts, science, commerce, design, management, law, engineering etc.) with a first division/ class from a recognised University.     IIIT Lucknow - The institute of national importance.
    Placements: The IIIT Lucknow has a 100% placement record for the last academic year, which is a new record. The institute is known for its placements, and the placement records are very attractive. Along with B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, and MBA branches are having a good time in the placements. Last year, 59 LPA was the highest package in B.Tech. Also, there was a mean package of 30 LPA, and the median was 25 LPA. In M.Sc., the companies are offering various kinds of analyst roles. You can read more about the roles on the official website of the IIIT Lucknow.
    Infrastructure: This institution provides every kind of modern facility, including Wi-Fi, computer labs, a fully equipped library, and air-conditioned digital classrooms. Hostels are available, but they are the only negative point. However, you will be provided with all the necessary equipment for your studies. There is also a dedicated mess for students, where the food is decent, although only vegetarian options are available.
    Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified and very helpful. The course curriculum is fully designed according to the needs of the industry, and the semester exams are not that hard to clear. In addition to the course curriculum, we will get a chance to learn various kinds of technical skills that will help you to drive into the industry. The passing percentage is 33%.
    Other: I came to this institute with a non-technical background, but I wanted to acquire the technical skills that the industry requires. This institute completely fulfilled my wishes. The best thing about the course is that everything in the curriculum is relevant to the current industry scenario. This course is already one of its kind in India, but there is still room for improvement. For example, they could include more subjects that are in demand by the industry. Other than that, there are no flaws in this course. Also, student life on this campus is great. This is an institute of national importance, so the facilities are also available to match those standards. There are several events throughout the year.

    Safar Khubsoorat hai manzil se bhi - IIIT Lucknow.
    Placements: The college placements are truly promising. Every year, all students are placed with an average package of around 18 LPA. The placement committee consistently works hard to bring more companies to the campus. Several companies conduct pool drives, including Uber, Acko, Meesho, and others. Internships are provided by the college or can be pursued independently. Roles offered include data scientist and data analyst.
    Infrastructure: The college campus is small, with the area granted by the government not fully utilized by the college authorities. The Wi-Fi facility is poor, and the sports facilities are limited. The college library is large and well-stocked with books, novels, and magazines. The hostel for first-year students is on-campus, while the boys' hostel is located away from the campus. The mess menu includes regional food from both North and South India. There is a problem with mosquitoes. Breakfast and evening snacks are nice, but lunch and dinner are average.
    Faculty: Faculty members are generally well-qualified and effective in both online and offline teaching. Some have backgrounds as former DRDO and UNESCO professors. The course includes industry-relevant subjects such as Power BI, Advanced Excel, Python, and R Programming. Exams are moderate in difficulty, with around 90% of students passing.
    Other: It is an honor to be in this institute, which offers good teaching and a comprehensive course.

    Totally satisfied with the college .
    Placements: As this is our first batch for the M.Sc. course, no placement records are there. A few students got some internships, not from the college. The placement drive is going to start in August 2024 itself, so maybe after 2-3 months of that we can have some placement stats .
    Infrastructure: The campus is very nice, as there are two hostels on campus: a three-member room for girls and a dome-type hostel for boys. Hostel charges are minimal, around 3k–5k, depending on your choice of room. Fully AC classrooms and labs are there that are accessible 24*7. Medical facilities are very nice; a medical room with a medical staff is present in the college. Sports facilities are good, not excellent .
    Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive, and you can always connect with them for any assistance. All the teachers are highly qualified. The course curriculum is very nicely designed, keeping industry needs in mind. The course curriculum is available on the college website; anyone can check it there. The semester exams are not so tough or easy, but if you start preparing for them 10 days before the exam, you can easily score good marks .
    Other: Personally, I chose this course (M.Sc. Data Science) because there is a huge demand in the industry for people who have some data analytics skills and knowledge about machine learning. So if anyone wants to start a career in data science, he/she can choose this course. As for the improvement part, I personally don't think there is any need to change anything about the course. There is an annual college festival held in April, as well as a tech fest and a sports fest held each year.

    CCMN refers to Centralized Counselling for MSc/MSc (Tech). This is a platform for the admission to NITs, CFTI, IIEST Shibpur, and SLIET Longowal.

    The CCMN counselling is done on the basis of scores of the applicants in IIT JAM exam. There are multiple rounds of seat allotments in these instititues are done through CCMN.

    A: 

    Yes, there is an entrance exam for MBA IIIT Lucknow. Central University Entrance Test (Postgraduate) or CUET PG is the entrance exam accepted by IIIT Lucknow for admission to its MBA course for the academic year 2024. Candidates must apply for an MBA via the CUET PG's official website. They must appear for the exam and the personal interview conducted by the department. However, before applying to be eligible for the MBA program is mandatory. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% (45% relaxation for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in any discipline.
