A brief review on IIITDM.
Placements: At present, there are no placements in IITs also. The highest package in our college is 54 LPA. The average package in our college is 12 LPA. In my course, the top companies are Nvidia, Snapdragon, etc. Maybe the percentage of placements may increase at our graduation.
Infrastructure: We have a separate laboratory complex for labs. It has 6 floors and contains more than 40 labs, like for coding, Verilog, VHDL, embedded systems, etc. Classrooms have in-built central AC systems and can hold up to 180 students per class. Wi-Fi is available everywhere in the academic block and in the hostel. The food quality is a bit low, and the taste is different when compared to our food. All types of games are available to learn and play.
Faculty: When it comes to faculty, I am a bit not satisfied with them. Because some of the faculty fail the students intentionally and keep them writing until their graduation years. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. If we start reading from the beginning of college, the semester exams will be top. As time moves, it becomes difficult.
Other: My course is an ECE dual degree in VLSI. This specialization allows me to work on chipsets like processors graphic cards, etc. The faculty should change their mindset of stopping the students from graduating. There are mainly three fests: Miraki, Smagatha, and Freshers.

Outstanding faculty and great experience at IIITDM KANCHEEPURAM CSE.
Placements: Good placements and the best companies are there. 70%–80% percent were placed according to previously placed batch. The highest package for CSE department is about 25,00,000, and the lowest package is around 8,00,000. You will get the best experience at this college.
Infrastructure: The IIITDM Kancheepuram is best known for its infrastructure and here we will have 1 girls hostel and 2 boys hostel, which are 13 floors each. And per room 2 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years, and at the final year, you may get single rooms for each.
Faculty: The faculty and the curriculum in the IIITDM KANCHEEPPURAM are very good, and the exam pattern and the syllabus for the exams are fully dependent on the faculty. There will be one midterm and one endterm for both lab and theroy exams. There will be no difficulty in semester exams.

IIITDM Kancheepuram, my review.
Placements: The placements are really poor. Last year the placement percentage was 65.5%. In that itself, it is said that over 20-25% were placed off campus. The Statistics are also quite mediocre, with approximately 13lpa CTC for CSE. Internships wise also it is much better, but is, considerably better with professors itself offering research internships.
Infrastructure: The course infrastructure is fine, with LAN connections and Wi-Fi connections in the hostel and Wi-Fi anywhere else. The speed is good at atleast 100 mbps most of the times. Although, vpn itself is blocked currently and a number of website are blocked including chess. Com. Hostel is good, bathrooms are clean. Water is topped between 12 and 5 pm. Hostel, although considered great has 2 people in a single-person-room. Mess food is terrible, but cafeteria is cheap and decent.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and very knowledgeable. Most of them are good enough to transfers the knowledge also. No complain on the teaching quality, although classrooms should be bigger. Course curriculum was reviewed in 2020 only and is good enough. Due to relatively grading, much of the grading is done with respect to how good you fare against your classmates. The pass percentage is very good.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in CSE. There are two main events, vashisht ( our teach fest ) and samgatha ( our cultural fest ). They are not grand per se, but quite good enough. Crowd is 60% telugu. Club are quite inactive.

Satisfied with the faculty and management of the college.
Placements: In the college around 40-45% of the students gets placed for our course. The average package offered at this college was between 3-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies were TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Philips etc. Students were getting internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: Our college has a good infrastructure for our course. The college has Wi-Fi, labs, a library, canteen, hostel, sports, medical etc. Facilities for its students. All these facilities were properly maintained by the college management. The college offers all the modern facilities to the students for the best quality of learning.
Faculty: The faculty of the college were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The quality of the teaching was good. The course curriculum of the IIITDM was relevant and also made the students industry-ready. Semester exams at our college were not hard to pass and the pass percentage was 80%.

If u want best government college in iiits come to iiiitdm kancheepuram.
Placements: Half of the students were successfully placed, while the other half did not meet the strict 85% criteria and faced strict rules that limited their participation in events. In the placement process, only CGPA mattered, which sometimes proved beneficial and sometimes detrimental. It was challenging for most students to secure on-campus placements, and the average package offered was below 10 Lacs.
Infrastructure: The college boasts excellent facilities and a beautiful green campus, creating a positive atmosphere for students. The infrastructure is top-notch, and the classrooms and halls are of high quality. Overall, the college excels in providing the best facilities. However, the food quality is extremely poor, making it the worst aspect of the college experience.
Faculty: The teaching quality was subpar, although acceptable. However, higher expectations were anticipated, especially during tough semester exams. The college enforced strict measures against any form of malpractice, with severe consequences. Additionally, students with attendance below 85% were not permitted to write exams.
Other: I have opted for electronic and communication engineering, which is an extremely challenging course in this college. The quality of food in the college mess needs improvement as it is quite subpar. However, the college fest events are commendable, although they are not celebrated extensively, with only two fests being organized in a year.
