One of the best institutes if you prefer to go for research after B.Tech.

Placements: IIITDM Kancheepuram is one of the very few good design colleges in India. The courses are designed to educate engineering and inspire innovation. The incubation center, MaDeIT, helps us in learning new ideas and products that shape the future of society. Overall, the academics are rigid and focused on the overall development and not just prepares young minds for placements. The placement records of our college are good. I joined in 2019, and two of my seniors got placed in Amazon and Ford.

Placements for the mechanical course are poor.

Placements: For production design engineer, the average salary package offered is 7 LPA. Companies like Adobe Reader, Zentrum Labs and L&T are the best in offering a huge number of jobs. Nearly 75% of the students got placed, and there are nearly 20% of the students under our course. Roles offered are project lead, design operator, supervising, automation, coding in microprocessors and microsystems.

College with good infrastructure and faculty but lacks campus placement.

Placements: Very less students are getting placed through campus selections. Main reason for this is lack of understanding about college curriculum by the industry. Curriculum is really good with blend of design, core and management subjects. But there is a gap between industry and academia.

The infrastructure and facilities are good. But, the college lacks placements.

Placements: Placements are good for the computers science students. Mechanical students should have a good CGPA to apply for placements. You can get placements or internships if you have good communication skills and knowledge. There isn't much competition for internships as many people are from Andhra and Telangana.

Placements: Although being a new college just completing 10 years anniversary, it has shown far better results than expected. All streams of under graduation have a decent placement status with CS having the best. The major roles offered are mostly for technical post with a few other domain specific roles. The Mechanical Stream currently has around 80-90% placement record which has been increasing gradually over the years for all the streams and is likely to achieve 100 percent in the coming few years becau...
