    Q:   What is the application fee for Ph.D. programme at IIM Calcutta?

    A: 

    The application fee for the PhD programme at IIM Calcutta is INR 1,000/-. The fee is payable online through the institutes website. The application fee is non-refundable. The application fee is used to cover the cost of processing the application. The fee also helps to ensure that only serious candidates apply for the programme. The application fee is due on or before the application deadline. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. The application fee is a one-time fee. Students who are admitted to the programme will not be required to pay any additional application fees.

    Q:   What is the stipend for IIM Calcutta PhD courses?

    A: 

    IIM Calcutta gives each of the student a stipend starting at INR 30,000 per month, which goes up to INR 35,000. Each of the student can avail of the student development grants of up to INR 65,000 for the first-year of course, and up to INR 25,000 for subsequent years. Moreover, the stipend and grants are facilitated for four years. However, it can be extended up to one or more years based on demonstration of enough progress in dissertation work.     Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can fill out the admission form by visiting the official website. Moreover, the selection is done based on candidates score in CAT exam. Candidates without CAT score, can apply with a valid score in exams as mentioned in the table below:

    IIM Calcutta invites application through avertisements in various papers and journals. The aspirants who meet the eligibility criteria can fill out the IIM Calcutta PhD admission form. Applications can be filled out via online mode. The steps to be followed for online form filling are:

    Step 1: Visit the official website.

    Step 2: Click on apply for doctoral course.

    Step 3: Fill out the required details, such as name, email ID, etc.

    Step 4: Upload the required documents.

    Step 5: Payment of the application fee. The application fee is INR 1,000. The payment can be done via credit card/debit card/net banking. It is non-refundable.
