A standard has been established for holding such events that have repeatedly pushed the envelope of creativity with the intention of bringing about change and so affecting people's perceptions. Visionaries, thinkers, and doers from various disciplines around the nation came together to produce this event, which was jam-packed with debates and ideas that helped to bring about significant change.

This particular event investigated the complex interrelationships between economics and sustainability, life and livelihood, and business and nature. The phrase "One step forward" refers to a step that has been taken toward progress, growth, or the telling of a forward-moving story.

In his welcome speech, Prof. Dheeraj Sharma, the director of IIM Rohtak, remarked, "We have outsourced our thinking to the West because of the development of mobile phones and computer gadgets as well as the pervasiveness of the internet. The use of social media and search engines has severely decreased deep thinking, creativity, and tolerance, which are the building blocks for the advancement of Indian civilization.”

A national landmark, IIM Rohtak sets the bar for the best management education available in the nation. The institute, one of the most well-known names in academia today, is renowned for creating top-notch literature in all functional areas of management and is ranked among the top five IIMs in research. IIM Rohtak, the only IIM in the Delhi-NCR area, provides over 1600 students with more than 8 programmes that impart knowledge with a multidisciplinary outlook to develop future business leaders.

IIM Rohtak Conducts Flagship Event Prabandh: The Management Conclave

November 1, 2022: On October 29, 2022, the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak hosted a management conference on its campus in Rohtak. "Maneuvering Disruption via Resilience, Collaboration, and Execution" was the event's topic. Several panel discussions featured prominent members of the industry from well-known companies, including Devarshy Ganguly, Head of Marketing, MagicBricks; Venkatesh Kidambi, Global Head, Digital Marketing & CRM, Kimberly Clark; Puneet Kapoor, CMO, Ebro India; Vijaya Kumar Ivaturi, Co-founder and CTO, Crayon Data among others.

The conclave's tone was established by Prof. Dheeraj Sharma, director of IIM Rohtak, who focused on the need to employ behavioural analytics and accelerate marketing transformations in the context of a changing business environment. People are increasing their wealth and spending money on experiences in the modern day. We will see a profound transformation in people's mindset as a result of shifting consumer behaviour around the world. Compared to previous generations, people nowadays are more idealistic, socially sensitive, and experience-oriented. “Meaningful inventions are more significant than basic innovations. We must be flexible and continue to learn the fundamental skills at the same time that we manage these disruptions and innovations. We are losing sight of our fundamental capabilities as we strive to improve technologically and obtain high-end expertise. The innovations and technical breakthroughs will help to change progress rather than fostering dependency if one has a firm grasp of the fundamentals. Students should therefore place more emphasis on fundamental abilities than on more advanced and useless ones.” he continued.

A national landmark, IIM Rohtak sets the bar for the best management education available in the nation. The institute, one of the most well-known names in academia today, is renowned for creating top-notch literature in all functional areas of management and is ranked among the top five IIMs in research. IIM Rohtak, the only IIM in the Delhi-NCR area, provides over 1,600 students with more than 8 programmes that convey information with a multidisciplinary view to develop future business leaders.

IIM Rohtak Receives AMBA-Accreditation, Confirming Itself In The Top 2% Of Business Schools Globally

September 15, 2022: IIM Rohtak has demonstrated its dedication to management school excellence by receiving official accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world's foremost authorities on post-graduate business education. With this, the institute cemented its place among the world's top management institutions.

The Association of MBAs (AMBA) accreditation is the pinnacle of success in post-graduate business education. Only the finest calibre programmes that exhibit the highest standards in instruction, curriculum, and student engagement are granted Association of MBAs certification thanks to its stringent assessment criteria.

IIM Rohtak's premier Post Graduate Program earned AMBA accreditation. The course is a two-year, entirely residential curriculum that emphasises cross-functional expertise and requires all participants to complete a summer internship. It embodies the spirit that AMBA established through its demanding curriculum and teaching standards. The National Capital Region (NCR) of India's IM Rohtak, which aspires to develop tomorrow's leaders, has been a pioneer in terms of establishing new standards for management education in India.

The campus infrastructure was praised by members of the AMBA accrediting panel as being remarkable and ensuring a friendly, inviting learning environment. The senior team's collegiality and apparent commitment to a compelling vision were also recognised by the panel. The jury remarked on the School's welcoming and compassionate culture. The panel also remarked that IIM Rohtak's gender diversity on the programme is a special trait and has a beneficial impact on recruitment.

The scope and reach of AMBA certification extend internationally, and AMBA operates under the tenet that certified programmes should meet the highest standards, reflect evolving trends, and be at the forefront of innovation in post-graduate management education. This dedication to encouraging innovation and expecting business schools to consistently perform at the highest level is reflected in its certification procedure.

IIM Rohtak Introduces New Batches of IPM and IPL Programme

September 5, 2022: The Five Year Integrated Programme in Law (IPL - BBA+LLB) and Integrated Programme in Management (IPM - BBA+MBA) were both launched at the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak. The 3rd and 4th of September 2022 saw the induction and orientation programme. Shri Arjun Munda, the honourable minister of tribal affairs, served as the chief guest for the closing session, while Shri Ashwini Kumar Choubey, the honourable minister of state for consumer affairs, food and public distribution, and environment, forest, and climate change, served as the chief guest for the opening session.

The new classes were welcomed to the university by Prof. Dheeraj Sharma, director of IIM Rohtak, who also offered his congratulations for making it through the difficult admissions process. He made the students aware of what to expect during their time at IIM Rohtak. He continued by saying that the institute places special emphasis on helping students build higher order cognition so they can become educated rather than merely go to school. "I think that children should be exposed to traditional Indian customs, traditions, and Indian methods of learning that will help them connect it to their contemporary life," he stated. “They will develop into better people who regard conventional wisdom and values. The core curriculum at IIM Rohtak is the first IIM to include a course on the ‘Indian Knowledge System.’ He further recommended the students to seek beyond the bounds of the curriculum and make the most of their time in the institute. This will help the participants get closer to their cultural ethos while broadening their intellectual horizons” he continued.

The institute is still working hard to keep its bathes highly diverse in terms of academics, gender, and area. The IPM's newest batch of admitted students hails from 22 different Indian states. Similar to that, the IPL new batch includes students from 20 different states. The freshly enrolled IPL Program cohort has 50% female students. This builds on the historical gender diversity attained by the institute's numerous programmes, particularly the PGP programme, whose flagship class has more than 70% female students.

IIM Rohtak is currently a well-known and respected name in both academia and business. It is the only IIM in the Delhi-NCR region and one of the top management schools in the nation. The goal of IIM Rohtak, which has established itself as a leader in management education in India, is to develop tomorrow's leaders by educating students from a distinctive cross-functional approach. Over 1600 students are enrolled in 7 programmes at IIM Rohtak, which has emerged as a pioneer in the dissemination of information with a multidisciplinary perspective.

IIM Rohtak Welcomes The 13th Batch Of Its PGP Programme

July 11, 2022: The 13th class of the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak's prestigious Post-Graduate Program was admitted. The orientation session began on July 9, 2022, and lasted for three days. He urged the youngsters to begin their new path with optimism. For the next two years, students must participate in a variety of projects, simulation games, and extracurricular activities to prepare them for the workplace. "Today, IIM Rohtak is the largest IIM in the nation with an extraordinary and astonishing record of research. We are the first IIM to include a core curriculum subject on ‘Indian Knowledge System’ that would educate students to ideas of Indian culture and history. It will broaden participants' intellectual horizons while bringing them closer to their cultural ethos”, he continued.

The students were counselled by the honourable chief guest, Shri Murmu, to concentrate on integrity, accountability, and transparency because these are the pillars of any business or profession. “He advised management students to address the requirements of the nation and evaluate how their work, inventions, and contribution could benefit other Indians, regardless of where they pursue careers in the future. You are the business leaders of future, and you will play a significant part in corporate governance, inclusive growth, and the growth of the economy. It is now your duty to make use of your abilities to find and develop plans and initiatives that will address pressing social, psychological, and ecological issues and contribute favourably to the development of an inclusive society", he continued.

IIM Rohtak Hosts A Two-Day International Conference In Central Asia

March 5, 2022: In Dushanbe, Tajikistan, the Council for Strategic Affairs of the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak organised an international conference on the topic ‘Framework of Engagement: Afghanistan in the Focus of Central and South Asian Nations.’ Representatives from all Central Asian countries, as well as India and Russia, gathered to discuss non-traditional approaches to conflict resolution and achieving peace and harmony in the Central and South Asia region. In the midst of the battle, the conference was held at IIM Rohtak.

Day two of the international conference concluded with keynote talks of some eminent speakers like  Mushahid Hussain, Member of the Senate of Pakistan; Prof. Chinara Adamkulova, Rector of the Diplomatic Academy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic; Yenten Lama, CEO, The First MicroFinanceBank Ltd; Amb. Surat Mirkasimov, Former Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India;  Ruslan Kazkenov, Chairman of the Association, Civic Peace Association; and, Narendra Singru, Country Director for Afghanistan, The Asia Development Bank among various others.

In his speech, Mushahid Hussain stated that past mistakes in Afghanistan should not be repeated. Foreign governments should not wage proxy wars on Afghan soil. The solution to Afghanistan's stability is regional and will not be defined by the West. Furthermore, we must recognise that the antidote to radicalism is economic development, job creation, and inclusive growth, all of which must be achieved in Afghanistan. Efforts to improve regional infrastructure and connectivity, such as the Iran-Pakistan-India oil pipeline and belt-road initiatives, are welcomed. For the economic interests of these nations, notably Afghanistan, the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India trade corridor must be revived.

Ambassador Surat praised India's foreign policy of engaging with its neighbours in a peaceful and constructive manner. “Jahan Shanti Wahan Pragati,” he said in Hindi (where there is peace, there is progress). He went on to say that the world has to remember and adopt Gandhi's philosophy in order to live in peace. Mahatma Gandhi's style of life and nonviolence ideology must be remembered and inspired throughout the world. Furthermore, when comparing India's journey after independence to Pakistan's, he stated that India is now on the path of “SHANTI AND PRAGATI (Peace and Prosperity)" because it has kept Gandhi and his philosophy alive. Pakistan, on the other hand, cannot be said to be in the same boat.

January 27, 2022: In the presence of students, professors, and staff, the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak, commemorated India's 73rd Republic Day with zeal on campus. The tricolours flapping gloriously on the institute structure were a sight to behold. Prof. Dheeraj Sharma, Director of IIM Rohtak, raised the national flag. The national song played as the flag fluttered and unfurled, and a sense of pride flooded over everyone. Prof. Sharma delivered a speech after that. He stated that our country has provided the globe with a knowledge system and a manner of life that is valued today. "These are really crucial elements that have just been challenged," he remarked. As a result, we must consider our core responsibilities. Our primary responsibility is to protect our country's sovereignty and preserve its unique legacy. Whatever religion we practise, we should be proud of who we are because we share a shared social identity. "It is our Indianness that brings us together." He also reminded us of Indian traditional ideas that we might apply in our daily lives, such as the fact that the food we eat has therapeutic properties. He asked students to make Millet a priority in their diets. "With 1.4 billion people, ours is a wonderful nation," he continued. Today, we must rejoice on our country's achievement of 150 crore vaccination shots, despite the fact that many other countries are still battling. Our long-term focus, however, should be on strengthening immunity through Traditional Indian Diet and Yoga. The throng took the pledge to honour our country's glorious history and to be pleased to be a part of such a Republic Nation.

IIM Rohtak has been imparting brilliance and management grit to the country's young aspiring young managers for more than a decade. It is one of the best management schools in the country and the only IIM in the Delhi-NCR region. The institute is the first to provide both a BBA+MBA and a BBA+LLB degree programme.

IIM Rohtak Hosts 7th Biennial conference

January 12, 2022: The 7th Biennial Conference of the Indian Academy of Management (INDAM) was held at the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak from January 7 to 9, 2022. INDAM is one of India's most prestigious management conferences. The seminar focused on the triple bottom line (TBL), which considers People and Planet in addition to Profits. Professionals, academicians, policymakers, and thought leaders had the opportunity to present their contributions in many management disciplines, preview current research, and expand professional networks during the conference.

There were about 1000 delegates from all over the world in attendance. Hon'ble Justice Ranjan Gogoi, former Chief Justice of India and Member of Parliament, started the meeting. "The current Pandemic has impacted the 3 Ps- People, Planet, and Profit," Gogoi remarked in his keynote presentation. “Melting glaciers, rising sea levels, declining forest area, forest changes, air pollution, and massive health risks are all posing significant challenges to humanity. I'd like to emphasise that this is a more significant concern than the ones caused by the present Pandemic. I believe that the constitution has an answer to the 3 Ps' difficulties. These articles of the constitution are in Chapter 4 of the constitution, which deals with directive principles," he continued. “They are not legally binding, but they are supposed to be the driving principles of government action. Perhaps what we need right now is a constitutional debate about how many of these principles constitute yardsticks by which to assess a state's welfare", he added.

At the conference, over 800 research papers were submitted, with over 300 authors being invited to present their work. Devendra Kumar Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation; Shah Mehmood Miakhel, Former First Deputy/Acting Minister of Defense and Governor of Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan; Nargis Nehan, Former Minister of Mines, Afghanistan; Devendra Kumar Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation; and, Shah Mehmood Miakhel, Former First Deputy/Acting Minister of Defense and Governor of Nangarhar Province among others.

Prof. Prof Henry Mintzberg, Cleghorn Professor of Management Studies, Desautels Faculty of Management, McGill University, Canada, delivered the keynote lecture for the valedictory ceremony, elucidating the world's socio-economic environment and highlighting the challenges facing various countries. He emphasised the need to rebalance society, stating that community is the cornerstone that supports both government and companies, and that community-led action is the only way to achieve environmental and societal balance. "People need to come together in imaginative ways to force governments and corporations to save the earth and ensure the well-being of all rather than pursue profits blindly," he continued.

"In these years, IIM Rohtak’s primary focus has been teaching management skills to the greater community," stated Hon'ble Chief Guest Justice Surya Kant in his presentation. “Despite its youth, IIM Rohtak has made significant contributions to management studies across the board, which makes one respect the institution's continued commitment, future aims, and ambitions. One of the institute's most innovative initiatives in the sphere of management and law is the Integrated Programme in Law.” He also praised IIM Rohtak students for their ongoing efforts to attain greatness through an integrated and innovative strategy. "I am confident that within the comfort of this campus, you will find a wonderful environment in which to learn, explore, and reflect that will help you develop as successful professionals," he remarked. I encourage students to make the most of this fantastic institution and its resources in order to develop into future leaders." Finally, he stated that "IIM Rohtak has done an outstanding effort in reaching out to diverse parts of society in order to increase diversity on campus. The presence of more than 70% female candidates in its flagship programme for the past two years is evidence of diversity at IIM Rohtak," stated Justice Surya Kant.

IIM Rohtak has also set a precedent for other management schools in the country by having a high level of gender diversity. From 9% female MBA students in 2017, we have reached the benchmark ratio of about 70% female MBA students for two years in 2020 and 2021. As a result, IIM Rohtak now ranks first in the world for female representation in its MBA programme.

In recent years, IIM Rohtak has seen momentous changes. The institute has been named one of the country's most innovative and forward-thinking management schools. According to the Outlook India Ranking 2022, IIM Rohtak is placed eighth among public management institutions in India for the second year in a row. IIM Rohtak has been instilling excellence and management grit in the country's aspiring young managers for more than a decade. It is one of the best management schools in the country and the only IIM in the Delhi-NCR region.
