IIM Rohtak Hosts 7th Biennial conference
January 12, 2022: The 7th Biennial Conference of the Indian Academy of Management (INDAM) was held at the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak from January 7 to 9, 2022. INDAM is one of India's most prestigious management conferences. The seminar focused on the triple bottom line (TBL), which considers People and Planet in addition to Profits. "The current Pandemic has impacted the 3 Ps- People, Planet, and Profit," Gogoi remarked in his keynote presentation. “Melting glaciers, rising sea levels, declining forest area, forest changes, air pollution, and massive health risks are all posing significant challenges to humanity. I'd like to emphasise that this is a more significant concern than the ones caused by the present Pandemic. I believe that the constitution has an answer to the 3 Ps' difficulties. These articles of the constitution are in Chapter 4 of the constitution, which deals with directive principles," he continued. “They are not legally binding, but they are supposed to be the driving principles of government action. Perhaps what we need right now is a constitutional debate about how many of these principles constitute yardsticks by which to assess a state's welfare", he added.
At the conference, over 800 research papers were submitted, with over 300 authors being invited to present their work. Devendra Kumar Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation; Shah Mehmood Miakhel, Former First Deputy/Acting Minister of Defense and Governor of Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan; Nargis Nehan, Former Minister of Mines, Afghanistan; Devendra Kumar Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation; and, Shah Mehmood Miakhel, Former First Deputy/Acting Minister of Defense and Governor of Nangarhar Province among others.

"People need to come together in imaginative ways to force governments and corporations to save the earth and ensure the well-being of all rather than pursue profits blindly," he continued.
