IIM Visakhapatnam Admission 2025: Fee, Eligibility, Application (Open) & Selection Criteria

Candidates who want to be admitted to the MBA/ PGP programme offered at IIM Visakhapatnam must apply for CAT and must select IIM Visakhapatnam as one of the preferences in the CAT registration form. IIM Visakhapatnam admission is conducted in phase phase-wise manner. Candidates who qualify examination stage will be asked to apply via submission of an online application through the IIM Vizag website in order to get a shortlist for the Interview round. Fianlly, when Personal Interview call are rolled for IIM Visakhapatnam course admissions, candidates must fill Personal Interview Consent form. Given below is IIM Vizag application process:

STEP 1: Candidates must visit the official website of CAT and fill out the CAT registration form. Candidates should make sure that they select IIM Visakhapatnam in the CAT application form. Candidates must provide personal, educational, work experience, and other required information and must upload all the necessary documents.

The following documents are required during the CAT registration process:

• Photograph
• Signature
• Qualifying examination marksheets
• Certificate for EWS/ NC-OBC/ SC/ ST category candidates
• PwD certificate (for PwD category applicant)

STEP 2: Once the CAT results are out, candidates who meet the minimum eligibility requirement are required to fill out the detailed online application form available on the IIM Visakhapatnam website by using their CAT registration number. EMBA programme

The application process of IIM Visakhapatnam for EMBA takes place via CAT. Therefore, candidates need to visit the official website of CAT to register themselves. For more information related to CAT registration.

PGPEX and PGPDGM programme

Step1:Candidates need to visit the official application portal of IIM Vizag. On this page, candidates can register by furnishing personal details and uploading necessary documents.

Step 2: Only for the PGPEx application form a non-refundable fee to be paid online.

Step 3: For appearing in the IIMV Test, the same amount of INR 1,000 is to be paid applicable to all the categories.

Step 4: The IIMV Test is to be held online.

Step 5: After reviewing the application form, candidates are shortlisted and called for Personal Interview.

Step 6: “NO Objection Certificate” to be produced at the time of the interview.

Step 7: Final selection will be made based on a composite score comprising the performance in CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ IIMV Test, Diversity, Technical Knowledge and Domain Experience, SOP, Professional References and Personal Interview scores.

Step 8: The admission offer will be made to a certain percentage of applicants depending on the availability of seats and their satisfying a minimum cut-off on the composite score.

IIM Vizag offers scholarships to candidates who belong to the economically weaker sections, with an objective of helping candidates to pursue their education. Students at IIM Visakhapatnam are also encouraged to apply for scholarships offered by various ministries under the government of India, other state governments, and other agencies.

All PGP students with annual household incomes below INR 5 lakh are eligible to apply for financial aid. Other students with severe financial difficulties arising from sudden unforeseen circumstances are also considered. IIM Vizag scholarships are also merit-based. A two-step process is included in deciding the number of awardees and the quantum of aid. In the first stage, students are given a Financial-status score based on different criteria:

• Annual Gross Household Income (including income of the student if employed before joining IIMV and outstanding loans if any, provided they were not taken for conspicuous consumption)
• Work Experience (if any)
• Educational qualification
• Household Savings
• Real Estate Assets
• Other Assets

Based on this score, some of the students are called for Personal interaction with a faculty panel. During the interaction, the faculty panel evaluates the financial need of the student, as well as establishes the genuineness of the details provided by the student in the application and assign a Financial-need Score. Based on the weighted average of these two scores, applicants are provided 100% or 25% of financial aid as a tuition fee waiver.

• IT Returns for the last two years

• Property documents
