The basic idea about IIT Dharwad.
Placements: Till now, there are no placement data of my course as it started in 2022 and this course is very different, as the course starts in the 4th semester. We have to take our major subjects like Maths, Physics, Bio, and Chemistry, as it is a (4+1) year course. You can exit after the 4th year. This course is very relevant for those who are good in research. By taking Math, you can pursue studies in AIML, which has very good scope, and in Physics, there is Quantum AI and Computing, which is key for placements. As it is an IIT, you have an advantage there. The curriculum is very good and tough, so it can blow your mind.
Infrastructure: Talking about our facilities, we have access to 24/7 Wi-Fi and the library. As it is a 3rd-gen IIT, the infrastructure is not completed yet, so it can take 10 years to be fully developed. The food in the mess is average. The canteen is open till 3:00, so you can go there and enjoy. There is no restriction on roaming; you can roam around the campus. The medical facility here is available 24/7. We have a nurse, and the doctors visit daily, but in restricted time.
Faculty: The faculty here is good, as there are professors who have done their Ph.D. from MIT and other foreign institutes. There are timings for meeting the professors, so you can take your doubts there. About the course, we have to take a major in the 4th semester. You can take Math, Physics, Chemistry, or Bio. The curriculum is very good, as in Physics and Math, we have AIML in our program electives, so you can define your career. There are visiting professors from IIT Bombay and Delhi who take our courses. The semester exam is tough, as it is an IIT. The pass percentage depends on the average of the class. There are labs every week, and credits are also there. If you want to pursue a Master's from other IITs, you can do it without qualifying GATE, just by scoring 8 CPI.
Other: We have a tech fest, cultural fest, etc. As there are approximately 350 seats, the crowd is less, so the professors focus more on us.

One of the best IITs in south india.
Placements: The highest package in CSE is 70 lpa, and the average package in CSE is 20 lpa. The remaining branches are also having good average packages around 16 lpa, and as no interdisciplinary science graduates are passed out, we are expecting good packages in the next two years. All these miracles in getting placed with good packages are all about students hard work and staff's hard work too.
Infrastructure: As our IIT Dharwad is new generation IIT, which was started in 2016. All the buildings are super good and their infrastructure is super unique but the sad part of our campus is that Wi-Fi is not so good. But our college community assured us that they were going to fix that issue soon.
Faculty: Of course the faculty in IIT's are super cool and super talented and they were highly qualified, even some are from various IIT's. Even they hire faculty from top institutions as guest professors. They explain the course in a very broad manner and exams will not be so tough but okay, and the pass percentage is approximately 70%.
Other: My course is interdisciplinary sciences. This course does not come under engineering but comes under sciences. On our campus, this course is for 5 years, which gives us a double degree.

Truth about our college.
Placements: On average, 60 percent students get placed in our college. Others go for higher studies or government exams or may get rejected by companies. Talking about internships, our R&D department is working very hard for companies to approach for internships, but currently only 2nd and 3rd year students can get internships.
Infrastructure: It's the greenest IIT, and the campus is average—not so good, not so bad. Many things are not available here and the director is saying that phase 2 construction will start soon but it haven't started yet and campus is isolated from the city so we don't get much exposure.
Faculty: Faculty and curriculum are good as it's parent, IIT Bombay. So the curriculum is very good, and professors are also good. They conduct exams time to time and are strict about attendance. Exams are also difficult, but it's not that hard. You can score well in exams by attentively attending classes.

Great facilities but lack of extensive food amenities.
Placements: I don't know much about placements as I am a fresher myself, but all I can say is there have been above 50 LPA packages before and there are people who mostly choose higher studies so being a new IIT. A smaller number of students enroll here every year due to a lack of seats. We don't have huge numbers in the placements area , but we do have the brightest minds. Being able to get medals in the INTER-IIT competitions in both sports and tech against the 1st Gen IITs proves our excellence.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my course and hostel is very nice. Being a new IIT, it has better hostels than most IITs. It doesn't have many food amenities or extremely big events like those in the older IITs, but we do have large-scale events where we interact with various great entities in their particular fields
Faculty: Certain faculty, even though highly qualified, are unexperienced in terms of teaching , but they only teach for the first half of the semester to the freshmen. Rest all the faculty is too good. We have a really good curriculum , irrespective of people trying to tell that the curriculum is outdated and all. Yes, it is in certain aspects, like learning to code but it is a mere building block to the newer courses like AI and ML that are included in our curriculum. Also, I believe core engineering courses can't get outdated as they can get things added but not removed as they are very fundamental. We have regular exams as our semesters end as fast as in 4 months and we get more holidays to enjoy and learn things outside if possible.

Our college has a very good infrastructure and good record.
Placements: The college's placements are quite impressive, especially considering its relatively young age of only 8 years. We consistently achieve a high placement percentage, often surpassing 80%. Notably, last year we even secured a few international packages. The highest package offered was an impressive 56 lakhs. This year, a mechanical engineering student was fortunate enough to secure this remarkable opportunity.
Infrastructure: Given that our campus was recently inaugurated, all the hostels have been constructed recently and are quite spacious. Moreover, the Wi-Fi connectivity here is commendable, providing us with high-speed internet access round the clock. Additionally, the quality of food is exceptional, and we are fortunate to have excellent medical facilities on campus. Furthermore, the nursing staff is highly qualified and proficient in their field.
Faculty: The faculty members at this institution possess the necessary qualifications to guide us effectively. They play a crucial role in fostering our interest in the subject matter. Additionally, we are fortunate to have access to excellent research facilities. By dedicating 1-2 hours per day to focused studying, the exams here can be easily managed. Moreover, after completing the first semester, we are provided with the opportunity to switch to a different branch if desired.

Good infrastructure, lacks sports fields, satisfied faculty, and average placements.
Placements: As the first batch in interdisciplinary science, no one has been placed yet, but as of 2023, the placement percentage is 87.62%. Top recruiting companies include Infosys, IBM, Wipro, Samsung Group, NVIDIA, and Subex, offering roles such as software engineer and ML data analyst.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in hostels, labs, and classrooms. Hostels are designed for four people in a single room with sufficient spacing. The food quality is decent, although not very tasty. The indoor sports complex is well-maintained, while outdoor sports are currently running on the Walmi campus.
Faculty: The course is taught by assistant professors with a helpful attitude and strong academic backgrounds. The interdisciplinary nature of the course is highly relevant. Semester exams are challenging due to the hardworking nature of students, and grading is relatively strict, requiring significant effort for good grades.
Other: Choosing this course due to a research background means there are more opportunities, especially abroad, in the research and development departments of various companies.
