September 24, 2024: On September 7th and 8th, Times Fashion Week held an amazing event showcasing style, fashion, creativity, and innovation at Radisson RED Chandigarh-Mohali. An exceptional gathering of fashion enthusiasts, industry experts, and emerging top designers took place, where the students of IIFD Chandigarh not only displayed their innovative designs but also volunteered behind the stage.
They smoothly managed the backstage activities, assisted with fittings, and managed administration, contributing to the success of the fashion show. Our budding designers, full of passion and fresh ideas, had the opportunity to present their work to a wider audience that included industry experts, media, and fashion lovers & experts.
Their collections, named "DESERT WAVES", were a testament to their hard work, dedication, and artistic skill.
the beautiful Indian actress and model Mannara Chopra sealed the runway with her grace and beauty as a showstopper for the event. Her presence added a touch of glamour and prestige to the show, further elevating the recognition of IIFD students' talent.

Unleashing Creativity with Button Masala: The session provided participants with an extraordinary opportunity to become fully immersed in the world of Button Masala, a cutting-edge method of clothing fabrication. The guests were led through a series of practical lessons by Anuj Sharma, who is famous for his proficiency in this approach. He gave them priceless insights into the art of converting regular buttons into alluring design elements. 

Sustainability was one of the workshop's main focuses. The significance of incorporating eco-friendly practises into fashion design was emphasised by Anuj Sharma. IIFD Students Volunteer at Lakme Fashion Week 2022

April 5, 2022: Students from the Indian Institute of Fashion & Design - IIFD were chosen as volunteers for Lakme Fashion Week 2022 by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI). The FDCI is well-known for encouraging the fashion industry in India and promoting its sustainability. Students chosen for volunteering were also given the opportunity to see LIVE fashion presentations by notable designers such as Rahul Singh and Abhishek Sharma.

Great platforms and facilities.

Placements: There were many students placed. We had a group of a few top batchmates who qualified with best grades. Two of them are placed as designers in a reputed company, one is working with a luxury brand as assistant, and I have successfully become the head of the Production now.

The education quality provided is awesome, and the campus is cheerful.

Placements: I was in MFA fashion designing, a two-year course. Approximately 90% of the willing candidates were placed in our batch. 100% of willing candidates got internship opportunities. The lowest package offered was 12,000 per month during the internship, and the highest package was 6 lacs per annum.

I am completely satisfied and feel lucky to be part of IIFD.

Placements: I am yet to get placed but got an internship opportunity already. Few of my friends have started doing their internships. I still haven't joined as I am waiting for more companies to visit here in this placement season as Marks & Spencer visited, and many designer companies also visited.

The teachers here are excellent and helpful. 

Placements: All of our batches have been placed so far. Rs. 12 LPA is the highest package offered, with the lowest being Rs. 6 LPA. Famous fashion designers and fashion houses are among the top recruiting firms. Almost all of my friends who are in my course got internships. The top roles offered are fashion designers, assistant fashion designers, fashion coordinators, etc.

Placements: Around 75% of students have been placed in good organisations. The average package costs around Rs 5.40 lakh. Companies like Pepper-fry and similar companies from space decoration are generally available for hire.

It is the best college for fashion designing in India.

Placements: IIFD is the best fashion design college in India because it gives 100% job assistance, and most of the students from our course got placed. The lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 11 LPA. Many companies visit our campus to offer internships.
