It is good for the people who want to study while working.
Placements: Placement is not good in the Covid situation. We didn't get any updates about placement. The average we get through referrals from college is around 10k monthly. I would recommend enrolling for distance learning when you want to get your degree but don't depend on college placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is nice. Each facility has a different building. Lectures are held online. My course is distance learning. The only time when I go to college is during admissions, exams and results. Even in a lockdown, I went to college to get the result. Social distance was maintained well.
Faculty: Faculty members are good when you reach out to them. Since the cause of distance learning, there was not much interaction. Masters in Commerce in marketing helped me to get what I wanted. I can teach in a reputable college to teach as a profession. Exams were easy too since it was online.
Other: The cost of M.Com is around 7k yearly basis. It includes books as well. So it was worth the money. Mumbai university is a reputable college. I don't have the experience commenting on-campus life.

Really good. still a scope for improvement.
Placements: I had passed out my Masters in Commerce (Management) in the year 2017. It is a distance learning institute. It is perfect for those who want to pursue a Masters degree without quitting their jobs. Since it is a distance learning institute, there is no placement opportunity. There are around 3 to 4 lectures that are conducted in a year mostly on weekends. The exam pattern is yearly and not semester wise. After pursuing a Master's degree, students can expect a package of around 2.5 Lacs per annum approximately. Again, that depends on the skills and experience. There are multiple opportunities available at various companies like Tatas, Birla, DHL, Blue D-ART Fedex, etc.
Infrastructure: The university has fixed working hours and within those hours, we can have access to their library and other facilities like computer labs for educational purpose. The classrooms are fairly good. The university campus is huge and the canteen is priced affordable and is reasonably good. The one thing that I really like about this campus is that it is very eco-friendly. A lot of importance is given to various sports activities and they also have a tennis court.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good and all the teachers were really qualified, knowledgeable and very helpful. The course curriculum is relevant. However, since there is no practical exposure, it does not make the students industry ready. In today's time, just bookish knowledge is not enough. According to me, students should be exposed to industrial knowledge and experience as well. Internships should be made compulsory as a part of the course curriculum only then it will ensure the overall development of students.
Other: Since I had to balance my work along with studies, I opted to go for this course. The only thing that I would like the university to improve in is that they are really too lethargic when it comes to grievance redressal. Students have to wait long hours in queues just to get a simple query resolved and there is too much paper work and unnecessary troubles and complex procedures. The campus surroundings and the campus is good with many canteens available. It is also easily accessible by trains, buses and any forms of public transport.

The college had good infrastructure and faculty members.
Placements: Placement opportunities in our college were pretty good. The lowest salary package offered was 1.8 LPA and the highest salary package offered was 6 LPA. All kinds of companies from different sectors and industries like manufacturing, IT, etc., do visit our campus to conduct interviews. Nearly 40%-60% of the students got internships and job opportunities.
Infrastructure: The renewed infrastructure of our college was amazing and no less than any reputed college of south Mumbai. Quality of computers in the laboratory and library was good. All kinds of books were available in the library. Game zone and related facilities were also available in the college premises.
Faculty: Faculty members of all age groups were teaching and mentoring the students from 11th standard to graduation and post-graduation of any stream, be it commerce, science, arts and management. The course curriculum was also good. Teachers were qualified and knowledgeable. The student to faculty ratio was very high.
Other: The campus crowd was diverse, and the students were decent, sincere, fun, outgoing and eventful. Fests and other cultural activities were also organised in the college at regular intervals.

Review of Institute of Distance and Open Learning, University of Mumbai.
Placements: The placements in Mumbai University are good. It is a well-known university in Mumbai. I don't know much about the placements as I am yet to complete the post graduation course. A minimum package of Rs. 5-6 Lacs per annum can be expected in the campus placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Mumbai University is average, and it can be rated 3 out of 5. No Wi-Fi facility is available. Classrooms and library are available on the campus. I have no idea about sports and games facilities. As it is an open learning institute, I don't know about the classrooms.
Faculty: The faculty are good and helpful in every situation. Master of commerce from the Institute of Distance and Open-Learning is good as one needs to give only 2 annual exams for Part-1 and Part-2 respectively. One can study at home on their own and write exams in the college.

This is an university with all kinds of resources, but it lacks the efficiency.
Placements: There is no campus selection provided for the students graduating from IDOL. But the certificate is of equal importance. They provide the certificate of regular college graduates under Mumbai University. In the earlier years, there were companies looking for fresh recruits from IDOL, but unfortunately, that system is discontinued. The doctoral candidates have the option to continue as part-time or full-time faculty members in their respective departments during their course of study or post the completion of the course.
Infrastructure: Kalina campus is spread over 230 acres of area. The parking facility is available inside the campus and generally, the atmosphere is calm and quiet. There are different buildings for each department of studies. The buildings are old and not well maintained. The lift facility is not available in all the buildings and when it is available it is restricted to the staff only. The Wi-Fi facility is not available. But, the overall atmosphere is very calm and quiet. It feels like you are in a completely different world and free from chaos and rush of Mumbai city's life. The library is vast and all kinds of books are available in the library. The students are allowed to borrow the books or take photocopies of its content from the photocopy centre situated within the campus. The classrooms are neat, but not modern and the gymkhana is filled with the outdated pieces of the equipment.
Faculty: The course curriculum is a bit outdated and the university fails to keep its curriculum up to date. The teaching faculty members have good knowledge of the subject, and unfortunately, a few of them lack the passion for teaching. M.Com is a two-year programme and the fee is between Rs. 5,200 to Rs. 5,500 per year. The books are included in the course fees. Since IDOL provides the correspondence courses, the students attending the lectures are very few in number. There have been instances where the lectures get canceled due to the lack of students.
Other: Sports activities happen on a regular basis. The co-curricular activities are less as compared to regular colleges. But, the students have an option to enrol for volunteering to various activities such as blood donation camps, medical checkup camps, etc. The campus is peaceful, but it is situated between the crowded suburbs. Share rickshaw facility is available from the campus until the nearby Santacruz station and most of the students avail this facility for travelling.

IDOL is always best for Learning with Earning and Study from home.
Placements: Placement opportunities are not given for distance learning. Also, the students are not closely connected with each other. Those who want placements should avoid this institution. As it is only for them who are working and wants promotion for a better job opportunity.
Infrastructure: It is distance learning. So obviously no hostel is required for my course. But yes, a good hostel for the regular courses is provided by the institute. CPUs infrastructure is excellent. Big campus and an excellent library. Peaceful location. For playing good campus is available but as this is a distance course we visit only for admission and exam form filling and rarely for a library.
Faculty: For Distance learning, only a few sessions from external colleges are provided. There is no regular lecture. But compare to fees and all the other facilities it's good to complete the course here. Also only an annual pattern is available. The curriculum is the same as for regular students of Mumbai University. So it's having equal weightage like a regular course.
