The faculty of IHM Kolkata is indeed the best and the placement rate is very high.

Placements: In covid times too, IHM Kolkata placed more than 80% of its students in both retail and hotels. It is one of the best colleges for hotel management. It is worth it if you are into hotels and want to learn things. It is a central government college and indeed you'll pay less than a private college which is IIHM.

I am dissatisfied with the management.

Placements: Placement procedure is very vague. Once a candidate gets a placement then they are blocked from sitting for other interviews. The salary packages are very low ranging from Rs.10,000 to 20,000 per month. Management is very selfish. I am very much dissatisfied with this institute.

Overall, this college is not a bad option.

Placements: The placements are average. They provide jobs to everybody but don't expect options of many jobs with really high packages because there won't be much. There are only a few jobs with high packages. The rest is average.
