Dissatisfied only because of low placement; the rest are all good.
Placements: Placement is actually very low but the overall vibe of campus and department is very good. Also, teachers are the best. Placement is essential but, unfortunately, only 10 percent are gaining placement and no good companies are coming there for giving it.
Infrastructure: They are all very good. The library is very good and helpful. Food is also good. The hostel facility is also good, but given on the basis of distance to home and financial stability and caste reservation. Medical sports are also available and are good and helpful.
Faculty: Good. Teachers are worthy and have values. Good for the institute and also for us. Yes, the course and curriculum are relevant and are helpful for us. Yes, they do make students ready for the industry. Semesters are not much difficult. Teachers do help us.
Other: I chose MBA FINANCE AND MARKETING because of my interest and the academics; the curriculum is all the best.

    It's worth to study here.
Placements: The institute has a full-fledged final placement cell which is dedicated to placing every student in the leading companies. IMK's placement cell has proved its worth by attracting prospective recruiters year after year. The Institute enjoys a 100% placement record to date. Last year, IMK managed to place its students in leading companies like EY, Federal Bank, Air India, UST Global, etc.
Infrastructure: The institute is housed in University Campus of Kerala University, one of the most elite and state of the art student campus in Kerala. The institute possesses well ventilated and crafted classrooms suited to the technological needs of the budding managers. It also hosts a student startup hub to encourage the entrepreneur in every student. It has a fully furnished and regularly updated library which operates until midnight. The college has 24*7 Wi-Fi facilities and student hostels inside the campus compound.
Faculty: The strength of IMK lies in its faculty. The institute is lead by Prof. Dr KS Chandrashekar who is a man of many talents. The teachers are very helpful, well qualified and knowledgeable in their respective areas and most of them has industry experiences.
Other: IMK hosts a national level management fest every year named 'MANIA' which is an acronym for 'Managers in Action'. The students also take up many extracurricular activities.

MBA in Travel and Tourism - Batch of 2018
    2.2

Average satisfaction, not fully because of infrastructure and faculty facilities.
Placements: The placement of our senior batch was conducted, and 50% of the students got placed. The highest salary offered is Rs.49,000, and the shortest is Rs.10,000. Some banks, a multinational company and some travel agencies visited our college. The roles include probationary officer and some project head, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities include Wi-Fi, classroom and library. There are 3 canteens and a very good playground where students play football and cricket. The Wi-Fi availability on the campus is very good, and the computer lab facility is also very good. The library facilities are average. The classrooms have the presence of smart classes. We face some infrastructure related issues. The lack of the restrooms for girls is the important issue.
Faculty: To an extent, teachers are helpful, and the teachers are very well qualified in this college. The teaching quality is average. They are not using any methods for teaching, and they simply do a revision exercise. I did not get any industry exposure. The course curriculum seems to be useful for me.
Other: The events conducted in the management fest named Mania, Yatra. The extracurricular activities include attending Trima and other management fests by other colleges. The campus is situated in a very peaceful environment.

I would rate it average for overall functioning of the institution.
Placements: There is no effort taken by the institution in organising placements for IMK. Not any faculty included in placement cell now and before. The college provides poor placement opportunity and very poor industrial exposure. A placement cell must be formed under the surveillance of HOD.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is excellent. The classrooms are just okay. There are no activities conducted in the labs for improvement of MBA professional students curriculum. The medical facilities are very poor mentoring for MBA graduation. Communication sessions, interaction sessions, knowledge sharing sessions, situation handling and tackling sessions, etc., must be conducted for MBA graduation.
Faculty: No industry exposure provided. An MBA graduate must possess certain qualities and activities in order to create professional students which are seen lacking in the institution. It would be good if qualified people are appointed as mentors. The faculty training can improve the quality of teaching.
Other: The events are successfully conducted by students with some help from the institution. The extracurricular activities are conducted but not effectively utilised.

Absolutely satisfied because faculty members are really too good.
Placements: 80% of students got placements in my course. The highest salary package is 5 LPA, the average salary package is 3 LPA, and the lowest salary package is 1.8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are ICICI, HDFC, ESAF, Federal Bank, etc. Top roles are Managers. 20% of students got an internship in my course.
Infrastructure: The university has well-equipped labs and a library, a well Wi-Fi system, and well-equipped classrooms. The canteens provide healthy and tasty food. Hostels are safe and secure for all students. For students, the college has medical support, and for extracurricular activities, they have sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are always helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. And obviously, this curriculum is relevant. It prepares the students for the industry. Semester exams are not too difficult, but cheating is never allowed. And faculty members are very supportive.
Other: I found my career option in this course; that's why I chose this course.

    • IMK is a good option for students who are looking for a decent MBA program in Kerala and do not want to pursue an expensive degree at private institutions.
    • Placements, though not at the level of the top IIMs or ISB, are still respectable for its region.
    • If you are aiming for a career in management and

Yes, it is quite easy to get admission in Institute of Management in Kerala, University of Kerala.  You just nee to clear the KMAT Entrance Exam with good score which is easier than CAT Exam. Being a Government Institute it requires KMAT score to allow admission .
