Average satisfaction, not fully because of infrastructure and faculty facilities.
Placements: The placement of our senior batch was conducted, and 50% of the students got placed. The highest salary offered is Rs.49,000, and the shortest is Rs.10,000. Some banks, a multinational company and some travel agencies visited our college. The roles include probationary officer and some project head, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities include Wi-Fi, classroom and library. There are 3 canteens and a very good playground where students play football and cricket. The Wi-Fi availability on the campus is very good, and the computer lab facility is also very good. The library facilities are average. The classrooms have the presence of smart classes. We face some infrastructure related issues. The lack of the restrooms for girls is the important issue.
Faculty: To an extent, teachers are helpful, and the teachers are very well qualified in this college. The teaching quality is average. They are not using any methods for teaching, and they simply do a revision exercise. I did not get any industry exposure. The course curriculum seems to be useful for me.
Other: The events conducted in the management fest named Mania, Yatra. The extracurricular activities include attending Trima and other management fests by other colleges. The campus is situated in a very peaceful environment.

IMK Kariavattom - The most affordable MBA college in Kerala.
Placements: Institute of Management in Kerala has an active placement cell with a student and faculty coordinator. The college offers only placement assistance and not assured jobs. In our batch (2012-14), of the 24 students, the highest package was Rs. 300000 CTC pa. Almost 50 companies (MNCs) attended the placement drive. The students received job roles of teachers, tour guide, tour coordinator, reservation executive, GRAs in hotels etc.
Infrastructure: The major plus point for the college is the campus in which it is situated. IMK Kariavattom is located in the heart of the University Campus, Kariavattom. The lush green background along with its studious scholars make a perfect ambiance for academics and extracurricular activities. The college offers Wi-Fi, language labs, emergency medical aid etc. The campus also has its very own cricket/football ground for outdoor sports. The canteen functioning in the campus (engineering college, canteen) serves quality dishes at affordable rates. Even techies from the nearby Technopark campus drop by for the food. As a day scholar, I cannot comment in detail about the hostel facilities provided. Apart from the active student politics, the campus hostel is definitely an 'average' residential facility.
Faculty: The MBA Tourism course at IMK Kariavattom is an above average one compared to the rest of the colleges in the capital city. The college cannot compete with its top challenger KITTS, Trivandrum on the basis of the curriculum. One major drawback of the course offered would be the lack of a foreign language course. The faculty is one of the best in the industry. Prof Dr. K Chandrasekhar, the director is in fact among the 'Top 50 best professors in Asia' according to a survey. The faculty members are NET/JRF qualified and most of them are research scholars or Ph.D. holders. The industrial visits and Internships are given with the best govt. and allied organisations such as Govt. Tourism Head Office, DTPCs, prominent travel agencies and tour operators, hotels etc.
Other: The MBA courses offered in IMK Kariavattom is one of the most affordable in Trivandrum city. The MBA (general) course has a tuition fee of Rs 15000/- per semester. And MBA (tourism) has a tuition fee of RS 25000/- per semester. I believe that no other colleges in Trivandrum or perhaps any other institute in South India has such low fees.

Other: My course is quite interesting from the business management course it’s purely based on tourism management. The course is made very interesting through video lectures and giving us tasks which improves our managerial skills. Nice exposure I get with this program and it’s worth the amount given. The campus is also nice and I enjoy it.
