Q:   Is BBA at Institute of Management a good choice?

    A:
    {Source: BBA students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary:

Infrastructure: The Institute of Management has a good infrastructure, with modern classrooms, libraries, and sports facilities. Hostel facilities are available for PG students, but not for BBA students.

Teaching: Faculty members are generally helpful and knowledgeable, with a mix of traditional and innovative teaching approaches. Some students appreciated the emphasis on practical learning, while others found the curriculum lacking in certain areas.

Placement: While the placement record for BBA students is not explicitly stated, the institute claims to have 100% placement rates for MBA students. The average salary package for MBA students is around INR12 LPA, with the highest package reaching INR30 LPA.

Curriculum: The BBA programme seems to offer a balanced blend of theoretical and practical knowledge, with courses covering various aspects of management. However, some students felt that the curriculum could be more focused on emerging trends and technologies.

Campus Life: The campus is lively, with frequent events and fests organized throughout the year. Students appreciate the social atmosphere and extracurricular activities.

In conclusion, while the BBA programme at Institute of Management has its strengths, such as a good infrastructure and supportive faculty, there are areas for improvement, including the placement record and curriculum relevance. Ultimately, whether or not the programme is "good" depends on individual preferences and priorities.

Q:   How effective is the placement cell for BBA courses at Institute of Management?

    A:
    {Source: BBA students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for BBA Courses at Institute of Management

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the effectiveness of the placement cell for BBA courses at Institute of Management:

    * Placement record: While some students mentioned that the placements were average (around 10 LPA), others reported a higher success rate, stating that "100% of placements are provided" and "placements are good and steady".
    * Companies visiting campus: Reviewers mentioned that top corporates like Cognizant, Reliance, and other firms visit the campus for recruitment purposes.
    * Average salary package: According to some reviewers, the average salary package is around 10 LPA, with the highest package reaching 25 LPA.
    * Internship opportunities: Students highlighted that internships are mandatory in each year, both during the summer break and winter semester, providing valuable industry exposure and skills development.
    * Active placement committee: Alumni praised the placement committee for bringing a wide range of companies to campus, resulting in a high conversion rate.

However, it's essential to note that students who pursued BBA did not receive direct placement assistance from the institution. Instead, they relied on their own efforts to secure jobs.

In conclusion, the placement cell for BBA courses at Institute of Management seems to have a mixed reputation among students and alumni. While some reported successful placements, others felt that the process could improve. Overall, the placement committee appears to be actively involved in securing job opportunities for students, but more can be done to enhance the outcome for BBA graduates specifically.

Review of IMBA at the Institute of Management Nirma University.
Placements: As of the year 2023-24, the placement rate was 100%, with the average package being 10-11 LPA and the highest package at 70 LPA. The top recruiters include Morgan Stanley, Searce, Accenture, and JP Morgan. The college provides assistance for both placements and internships.
Infrastructure: The college offers various facilities such as well-equipped classrooms, Wi-Fi, a library with e-library facilities, hostel accommodations, and mess facilities. Medical facilities are also available on campus. Additionally, there is a running track, cricket ground, badminton court, tennis court, basketball and volleyball courts, as well as a gym.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified with decent experience in their fields. The course curriculum is relevant, and the teaching pattern includes a mix of theoretical and practical approaches. There is a semester exam system in the BBA phase and a trimester system in the MBA phase, with continuous evaluation exams.

Nirma is great at placements and events with a great academic life as well
Placements: Almost 90% of the students are placed with an average placement package of 12 LPA. The placement committee works really hard to place all the students. This college is mostly renowned for its great placements and includes prominent companies across sectors in management.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great, including libraries, medical facilities, buses, lounges, and canteens. Hostel facilities are available, and the hostels provide good food and a pleasant ambiance. Wi-Fi is accessible, and the sports department has all necessary equipment and spaces.
Faculty: Teachers are extremely helpful and qualified. The teaching pedagogy is excellent, and the course curriculum is relevant, preparing students for the industry. Exams are not very difficult, as teachers support students in their preparation.
Other: There are many events and fests held, along with numerous seminars and guest lectures, offering great networking opportunities. Scholarships are also available in certain cases.

    Good infrastructure but bad faculties.
Placements: The college provides 100% placement, and the average placement is around 12 LPA. The lowest package is about 7 LPA, and the highest is 70 LPA. The institute, however, does not provide placement for the undergraduate program (BBA). Companies like Morgan Stanley, Searce, JP Morgan, and Axis Bank offer placements.
Infrastructure: The college has very good infrastructure as a new building has just finished construction. The mess is also very good. The faculties are not that good, and most of them have little knowledge of the subject. There are two sports grounds, one for football and one for cricket. A sports complex is also under construction.
Faculty: The teachers are fine; some are good, while others are not. The curriculum includes internships every year, so a serious student can gain proper industry exposure. However, the courses are very cumbersome and irrelevant at times, and you get very little practical knowledge. The difficulty of the exams is very low.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to do an MBA. This course offers an exit option after three years if you can get into a better college. The only thing I would like to change is the attendance policy of the college. Other than that, it's fine. There are various committees that organize events all year round, so there's no shortage of that.

One of the greatest experiences with lots of great friendships and memories.
Placements: Well, I'd say that people are placed in the MBA phase of the course, and I exited after the BBA phase, but they do provide placement opportunities to everyone and make sure that everyone is placed with a guarantee of 9 LPA. Well, the highest package was 30 LPA, the lowest was 7 LPA, and the average lies around 13 LPA. Well, we had companies like Deloitte, Bank of America, Reliance Limited, Fund TX, JP Morgan, and TCS. Well, getting internships was a mandatory aspect of our course, which was the responsibility of the placement committee.
Infrastructure: I would say the infrastructure in Nirma was top notch; they had smart classrooms, and they had big classrooms with ACs. The campus is quite huge and lush green with all kinds of sports facilities, such as football and cricket grounds, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, and enough lawns to host various events. I'd say the quality of hostels is quite good and hostel food is quite good, with them providing laundry and mess facilities and they have a doctor's clinic within the campus
Faculty: Yes, there are a few professors who, in fact, are quite helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable enough to impart the required wisdom and impart practical knowledge along with the theoretical study. Yes, I feel the course curriculum was very diverse, with all kinds of fields for anyone to explore and determine our interest, along with tutorial sessions for specific courses, and the rigour does make us ready for the corporate world. Well, we had a trimester system, and the term-end examinations (TEE) were very rigorous with practically no gap between the examinations. Well, the pass percentage for the TEE exams was 40%.
Other: Well, I come from the 2020-21 Covid batch, so when I got the offer from Nirma, I was thrilled because I was familiar with Ahmedabad, and the reviews I received from my peers and certain other people made me choose Nirma over the other offers I had of St. Joseph's College and OP Jindal. Well I feel the structure, the inclusivity, the drama, the stress and you pulling it together was something I really cherished. Well I think they could have restructured the examination system since we had a trimester system; the attendance policy was too rigorous, which was 85%, which didnt give us so much space to be liberating. Well there were so many events that used to take place, like: 1. Genesis (Cultural Committee fest) 2. Invictus—the sports event 3. Cricshetra by Khelnayak commitee 4. Garba Night 5. Social drives by the social committee—Mavericks 6. Bollywood Night by Ritayan Committee 7. Poltergeist by Ritayan 8. Freshers party organised by Abhivyakti

LIFE AT NIRMA UNIVERSITY great faculty members and staff amazing infrastructure .
Placements: I am currently in 2nd year so I have not been placed yet but I know that MBA students get 100% recruited with companies like tata, deloitte, deutsche, wipro, TCS, infosys, mahindra, zydus and many more. Las year the highest package in MBA was 30LPA and avg. Package was 12.20LPA. Internships are mandatory in each year. In BBA phase, after 1st year we have to do social internship at a NGO. In 2nd and 3rd year we have to do corporate internships and with the facility of stipend. You can either be placed by college or take private internship.
Infrastructure: For BBA phase boys hostel is not provided, so we have to reside in nearby PG and hostels, but in MBA hostel in campus is compulsory. Girls have amazing hostel facilities with parlor, gym, night canteen, and sitting areas. The infrastructure is excellent with 4 hostels, multiple libraries filled with every subject content available and 1 mess, and 3 other canteens which have all sorts of dishes available. There is a medical center in the campus for any kind of attention required. Sports facilities are particularly brilliant with massive cricket and football ground, practice nets, table tennis, chess and carrom, lawn tennis, basketball, volleyball and badminton courts, and a sports complex under process.
Faculty: The professors are excellent with immense experience from multiple institutions and have multiple professional degrees. Their teaching methods are very practical and according to GenZ. The courses ranging from Statistics to economics to organizational behaviour helps imbibe the required management skills in us. The semester exams are pretty tough but can be cracked easily with practice. The passing % is 40%.
Other: I chose this integrated course because it facts as safety after BBA if you are not able to go in your choice of college after (if) giving CAT then you always have the confirmed open option about this college. Events and fests like aarohan, invictus, crickshtra, supercup, NUZEAL, happen around the year, ranging from sports to co- curricular like art, dance and music.

Infrastructure and facilities are good, with aesthetic looks.
Placements: Most of the students got placed in my course. The highest salary package was around 16 LPA, and the average salary package was approximately 9 LPA. Apart from that, top companies also come here for recruitment, such as Aditya Birla, Adani Group, Nestlé, and many other companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good here, and facilities are also good. However, there are no air-conditioners in the classrooms for BBA students. Classrooms are good, and library is also well-maintained. Food in mess and canteen is quite good. There are also good facilities for sports and games, especially for outdoor sports.
Faculty: Faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is above average. Many subjects are not that relevant, but there are also good subjects. Semester exams are of a good level and not that easy. Pass percentage for semester exams is 40%.
