Jaipuria Institute of Management concludes its first-ever E-convocation to felicitate its graduating students
May 27, 2020: Amid the nationwide lockdown, Jaipuria Institute of Management hosted its first-ever E-Convocation to felicitate its graduating students on May 15, 2020. Over 900 graduands across all four campuses received their degrees. The event was hosted online through video conferencing. The Institute invited Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh as the Guest of Honour.
- Among the 295 students graduating from Lucknow campus, Shubhi Sinha was awarded the Gold medal and was also presented the ‘Student of the Year’ title
- Out of 293 students graduating from Noida campus, Mudit Joshi was awarded the Gold medal
- From Jaipur campus, Anoushka Bhatia was awarded the Gold medal out of the total 226 students graduating
- Amrita Ludhwani from Indore campus was awarded the Gold medal out of a total of 127 graduating students
The Institute also awarded the faculty members in eight categories for their excellent contribution in imparting quality education and guiding students in the right direction.
Looking at the enthusiasm among students, Rajnath Singh congratulated them and conveyed his heartful feelings. He talked about the power of youth and said only collaboration and collective effort will be the key to success. He added that whenever in history youth has come together they have created and rewritten the history itself. Usage of technology to come up with an innovative solution will become a norm for success. Technology can be a real rescue in difficult and challenging times. So technology and youth have immense potential for India.
Based on his own experiences he provided following life lessons to the students.
- Follow your passion: He advised all passing out students to follow their passion and listen to their hearts to succeed in life
- Learn to learn: He mentioned that on this day learning has not stopped but has started and continue to learn new lessons and skills in order to survive and succeed in the corporate world
- Critical thinking: He said critical thinking is one of the most sought for the attribute in the corporate world. Approaching problems with an open and objective mind helps in finding the best solutions to the problems
In the end, he shared the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for India of 21st Century as Balwaan, Dhanwaan, Gyanvaan and Atma Nirbhar Bharat and urged the student to brace themselves and come forward to realise this dream.
