There is a placement cell but very few students get the jobs and the salary package is also very low.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2024

Our beloved college Kolhan.
Placements: All the students of our branch were placed in companies like SBI, ICICI Bank, Tata Consultancy Services, and Tata Power Ltd. Our placements were good; each one was selected, and some were selected for internships at TCS and Tata Power, while SBI and ICICI placed directly in companies for on-roll jobs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college and hostel was very good, as it was newly constructed. The hostel was spacious, with two people in each room. Rooms were equipped with bathrooms, almirahs, fans, ACs, study tables, and all amenities for students. We could also cook inside our rooms.
Faculty: The teachers and faculty members of our college were knowledgeable, helpful, and qualified enough to teach the students. We could call them anytime if we needed help. Exams were easier for those who studied and tough for those who didn't prepare.
Other: This course is beneficial for the future, as it is for Chartered Accountants or jobs in banks. Our college was good for placing us in such big companies.

Very best and affordable college for this course.
Placements: This college is one of the best for B.Com. (Hons.) courses, and after completing the degree, there was very good placement. Many students are placed in large companies; there packages are very high. This was the very best college for Hons students who want to become accountants in the future.
Infrastructure: This was the very best college for hons students who want to become accountant in future. This college was fully furnished, affordable and had facilities. There were different departments for different courses and free Wi-Fi service for all students. The classrooms were very neat and clean.
Faculty: The semester exam was tough and the pass percentage is very good in our college. There was a very good teacher who taught us very well. There are many types of courses, and there are different exams for different courses. All the exams are taken very well in this college.

Experience of My college life 2020-2023.
Placements: This is a government college, so there are no significant placements available for students. However, the faculty has created a placement WhatsApp group where job vacancies are posted. Unfortunately, the jobs are not that good; most of the jobs that come through that group offer lower packages.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not that good, as the college building is mostly in bad condition. The college lacks basic amenities, such as toilets for students, and the existing toilets and benches in the classrooms are not clean. There is a lack of parking space for students despite the college having a much larger area. There is a canteen available, but the food is not that good. The college doesn't have Wi-Fi for students, and smart classes are not being used.
Faculty: The teachers in college are mostly Ph.D. holders, and their teaching style is good. The teachers are friendly, though not all of them. They have well-versed knowledge. The course does not make students industry-ready, as the actual course content is different from what is required in the industry. The semester was held late because of COVID, and students with moderate study could easily pass the examination. The pass percentage would be around 90+.
Other: I had chosen this course as I had commerce in class 12 and had an interest in commerce from the start. The best thing about this course is that students can grasp it easily and feel comfortable with it. If we add industry-related aspects to this course, it would be greatly beneficial. There were no significant events held in the college, but festivities such as Independence Day and Republic Day were celebrated. Scholarships were provided to SC/ST students.

M.Sc. in Zoology - Batch of 2024

Great college for a good experience overall and amazing professors.
Placements: Placements are offered only to the students of arts and commerce streams. Science students do not have any placement companies waiting for them. Top companies that come to my college are Infosys, Tata and Mahindra. Internship is offered only to those students who are enrolled in BBA course.
Infrastructure: All the departments have smart boards. Wi-Fi and science departments have labs, equipment, and departmental library also. College library is very comfortable according to me. It is even equipped with access to online books. There is only boys hostel available. Girls hostel is under construction. There is no mess in the hostel. My college performs great in sports and has won many state level competitions. There is also a sick room in our college for any case of emergency.
Faculty: Professors are great, knowledgeable, helpful and qualified. Teaching quality is great overall. They are helpful. Curriculum is good but a bit brief to get me ready for any national level competition. For becoming industry ready, students have to prepare on their own. Semester exams are quite easy if students attend classes regularly and complete all the assignments in time. Passing marks for theory are 45% and for practicals are 50%.
Other: I chose this course because it would give me a path to be a professor in future. Practical labs are well equipped. Several events occur in the college.

Dissatisfied with the faculty and their way of handling academics.
Placements: Very few students get placed here like 10 in 100. Although the degree opens up a gate for applying into various government exams. There are near to no internship facilities as far as I have examined here. Packages are also not more than 6 LPA. So overall not impressive at all.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs are really nice. Other departments are well furnished. No Wi-Fi is available and canteen is poor too. It has a large ground which is a good point. Various sports are often conducted here.
Faculty: Some teachers are quite hard to handle. They keep on scolding us for no reason plus Maths faculty is horrible. They are themselves confused with the calculus still running their department. Exams aren't on the tough side.

The college is just for a degree.
Placements: Not many students are placed in this course. The highest package is 5 lakhs and the lowest is in lakhs. Top companies that come for placements are Wipro and Tata Motors. Not many students got internships there. Top roles offered are HR, marketing, sales, and others.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good; there are classrooms, a library with lots of books, and medical facilities for students. Various sports and games are available, and hostels are provided.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They are very helpful and assist in every field, making us industry-ready. Semester exams are not so difficult; the passing percentage of students is 80%. However, courses are not very relevant for preparing students for industry.
Other: I chose this course because I want to learn marketing and sales. I would have wished to improve classroom facilities, timings, and regular classes. There are organized events and extracurricular activities.
