CSR CLUB - ‘SOCIAL OUTREACH PROGRAM – KALVI 40’ ON 29.11.2023

December 1, 2023: "Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today." Malcolm X's. The CSR club at Jansons School of Business is enthusiastically spreading optimism via education. The initiative 'KALVI 40' was expanded to four more government schools under our MoU with BumbleB Trust, including PUMS MG Pudur, PUPS Ravathur, PUPS Chennappachettipudhur, and PUPS Segudanthali. Members of the JSB CSR Club assisted the school pupils in actively using the Kalvi 40 APP and also organized enjoyable activities to enhance their growth.

It is hoped that the outcomes of this day will be beneficial to the pupils for the rest of their lives.

Jansons School of Business hosts academic confluence on Artificial Intelligence

November 21, 2023: Jansons School of Business recently hosted an academic confluence with a resource speaker being Dr. Dhamayanthi Arumugam, a senior lecturer at Asia Pacific University in Malaysia, on the topic of "Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Finance: Transforming Investment and Risk Management."

Under the premise that opportunity and danger are paired with money, it was underlined that the finance sector is poised to embrace technology. Artificial intelligence, bolstered by machine learning and social intelligence, was said to encapsulate traditional human intellect. A video on the subject of "Another day, another story," which was produced with the help of artificial intelligence, was shown with statistics about AI and its algorithms. The explanation of the new paradigm shift included an emphasis on the idea that anyone can be an implementer or a player without necessarily needing to be a developer. A real demonstration of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in online and currency trading was provided, clarifying different risk categories and the role supply and demand play in the financial adoption of AI and machine learning.

 Jansons School of Business Collaborates with IIT Kharagpur's e-Cell for Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive

November 2, 2023: On the 27th of October 2023, Jansons School of Business joined forces with the e-Cell of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur to host an exciting "Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive." This grand event drew participants from various colleges in and around Coimbatore. The day began with a warm welcome from Dr Sridevi K.B, a Professor at JSB, and an inaugural address by Dr A G V Narayanan, the Director of JSB. The opening set a captivating tone, offering valuable insights into the world of startup ideation.

The keynote session was skillfully conducted by Vasanth Vijayabaskar, CSO of GUVI Geek Networks at IITM Research Park. He delved into the evolving paradigms of entrepreneurship in developing countries, emphasizing its necessity and impact. The workshop was led by a remarkable 20-year-old entrepreneur, Palakh Khanna. Her presentation focused on student entrepreneurship and provided strategies for balancing academic pursuits with entrepreneurial ambitions. She highlighted essential skills for success as an entrepreneur, including personal branding, a 5-step plan, time management, networking, and crafting a winning elevator pitch.

An online session followed, featuring Madhur Jain, an investment analyst, who shared insightful case studies of successful companies such as Fogg, Zerodha, and Mamaearth. He discussed their strategies, turnovers, and key success factors while recommending three essential books to the audience: "Rework," "The E-Myth Revisited," and "Loonshots." The participants left the event feeling enriched and inspired, describing it as a fantastic and engaging experience from start to finish.

Jansons School of Business HR Conclave Addresses the Global Journey Towards Diversity and Inclusion in the Workforce

November 2, 2023: Jansons School of Business recently organized an HR Conclave, bringing together various stakeholders to explore the evolving landscape of diversity, inclusion, and equity in the global workforce. The event commenced with an inaugural address by Dr A G V Narayanan, Director of JSB, followed by a keynote presentation from Raj Raghavan, Chief Human Resource Officer of CoreStack, Chennai, focusing on the present and future of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) across industries.

The conclave featured a dynamic panel discussion centered around the theme "Challenges and Opportunities in Building Diverse Talent Pipelines for Sustainable DEI." The panelists included Jyothsna Hirode, Senior Consultant at Parity Consulting, Bengaluru, Sanjay Shende, Director of HR at Flipkart, Bengaluru, and Ms. Anitha Jayapal, Head of HR at L&T EduTech, Chennai. The discussion was skillfully moderated by Prof Suriyaprakash C, Professor and Area Chair for Organizational Behavior and HR at JSB.

The afternoon session offered two enlightening workshops. Kanaka Ravi, Head of HR for Diversity and Inclusion in the MEA region at Tata Consultancy Services, Chennai, conducted a session on "DEI - Appreciation and Application for Enriching Life Experience." Shruthi Ramprasad presented a session on "Shaping an Inclusive and Equitable Culture: The Role of Learning and Development (L&D)." The conclave witnessed enthusiastic participation from attendees, and the feedback received was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the importance of addressing diversity and inclusion in today's workforce.

October 27, 2023: Jansons School of Business (JSB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Project Management Institute-Chennai Chapter (PMI-CC) on 20th October 2023. The school expresses gratitude to Parves Alam. M, President of Project Management Institute - Chennai Chapter, Bhuvana Sundar Soorappaiah, PMP, PMP-ACP, PMI-PBA, PMI-CAPM, Vice President (Outreach) of PMI Chennai Chapter, Ms. Jeyaselvi P, AVP (Academia) of PMI Chennai Chapter, and Mr. Ragothaman Gururajan - AVP (Branches) of PMI Chennai Chapter, for their great interest and enthusiasm in connecting with us for better synergies. Dr. A G V Narayanan, Director of Jansons School of Business (JSB), and Parves Alam. M, President of Project Management Institute - Chennai Chapter, signed the MoU in the presence of delegates from PMI-CC and Dr. Sridevi K B, Professor of JSB.
