The hostel fulfills all the basic needs of students.
Placements: They offer 100 percent placement, but you have to maintain a particular grade to be eligible to sit in on the placement process. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Hyundai, and Maruti visited the college for the placement process. Steps are followed: first the written test, then a presentation round, and then the interview round if the person qualifies. The percentage is around 80. Yes, the institute prepares the students for the placement grounds.
Infrastructure: Hostels were good. There were hostels for both boys and girls. The boys hostel was on the college premises itself, but the girls' hostel was a little bit far from the college. There were 3 hostels for boys and 1 hostel for women. The rooms were good, and the Wi-Fi connection was a plus. The food given in the college mess was clean and edible. External Expenses: Rs. 2000–Rs. 4000
Faculty: The course curriculum is properly managed, with 5 subjects in the first semester and 6 subjects in the second semester, continuing knowledge about transducers and sensors that is from electronics engineering, which is the basis of it. Lastly, the third semester consists of two subjects. I found this college only with this type of resource and subjects, which helped me explore 13 subjects in a year. Class size;-70 Course fee: INR 168000 per year.

JNNCE is also famous for its superb placements.
Placements: A lot of companies provide internships and placements. Top companies like Google, Infosys, and Wipro offer placements and internships. The tentative percentage of placements is about 75-80%. This institute takes special steps to prepare students. The placement procedure is usual.
Infrastructure: Hostels were good for both boys and girls. Boys' hostels were on college premises but girls' hostel was a little bit far. Women's rooms were good with Wi-Fi connection and cleanliness was a plus point. The food given in the college mess was clean and edible.
Faculty: The course curriculum is properly managed and updated. There are 5 subjects in the first semester, and 6 subjects in the second semester incorporating knowledge about transducers and sensors that is from electronics engineering which is the basis of it. Lastly, the third semester consists of 2 subjects. I found this college with these types of resources and subjects which helped me explore 13 subjects in a year.

Solid curriculum and supportive faculty with room for improvement.
Placements: At JNNCE Shimoga, around 75% of students are placed. The highest package is ₹12 Lacs, the lowest is ₹5 Lacs, and the average is ₹8 Lacs. Top recruiters include L&T and WSP. About 50% secure internships with companies like RITES and CEPT. Key roles offered are Transportation Planner and Traffic Engineer.
Infrastructure: Facilities at JNNCE Shimoga include basic Wi-Fi, functional labs, and decent classrooms, though the library could use more resources. Hostels are adequate but may lack modern amenities. The food quality in the mess and canteen is average. Medical facilities are minimal, and sports options are limited. Overall, it's decent but has room for improvement.
Faculty: Teachers at JNNCE Shimoga are qualified and knowledgeable, providing solid support. The curriculum is relevant and prepares students well for the industry. Semester exams are moderately challenging, but the pass percentage is good, reflecting the effective teaching and preparation. Overall, the academic experience is strong.

Good option for localites and nearby students.
Placements: Electronics and communication branch of JNNCE is really good when we compared with the rest. Most of the students who got placed from our college belong to EC branch. Nearly 90 out of 120 EC students are placed in various companies like BEL, TCS, DELL, Tech Mahindra and others. The college, as well as EC branch, provides placement training. The highest offer is Rs. 8.5 lacs/annum (by BEL) and the minimum is Rs. 2.5 lacs/annum. 60% is the breakdown aggregate for placement. Working roles vary with respective companies. The college itself doesn't provide any internship. The students have to find the internships on their own.
Infrastructure: EC labs and classrooms are good. All the rooms are facilitated with projectors and good infrastructure to listen to the lectures smoothly. The sad part is that there is no free Wi-Fi facility yet. There is a vast and large library with sufficient text and reference books. A good ground and encouragement for sports can be expected and you won't be disappointed. The canteen offers healthy and tasty vegetarian food and outside the campus, there is more variety in food. The labs and rest of the infrastructure are good. The problem lies with bad parking facility for vehicles. The college's infrastructure is integral in old as well as new buildings.
Faculty: Electronics and communication branch is very good when we compare it with the rest of the branches in our college. The faculty members are helpful as well as strict in all aspects. Some of the faculty members are profound scholars and represent the syllabus committee of the university. The orthodox way along with extra curricular activities is used to teach us. Since they offer special training to the students in various semesters, the students are able to get good industrial exposure. A practical problem is that usually, the EC students have a hectic time table.
Other: The campus is vast and has all good facilities like a bank, stationary shop, canteen, post office, hostel for both boys and girls separately, bus facility. Various branches are good and bad with their respective facilities but EC is better than them all. Compared to colleges in urban areas, the exposure is a bit less. The main attraction of college is the bio-diesel plant which is maintained, empowered and utilized by the college itself. The college fests are nice with technical and cultural events. Branch EC offers many technical games and events which help in the overall growth of personality.

Good for education and situated outside the city so that there is a peaceful environment.
Placements: Placements EC and CS branches are good but for core branches, they are pathetic and zero as far as I know. But for telecom and other software-oriented branches, there are good placement opportunities and companies like TCS and Tech Mahindra are regularly visiting for placements. I would like to say that more scope should be given to the core branches by inviting companies like Triveni Turbines, Bosch, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college is the top in our region regarding sports such as cricket, volleyball, hockey, throwball, handball, etc. Many students have participated in inter-regional and national levels. Coming to the library, our college library has a wide range of books and a Wi-Fi facility is provided for browsing. Bigger classrooms and good canteen facilities are provided to the students with separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Our college has 6 hostels and many north Indian students are also studying in our college.
Faculty: The faculty team is good and the way of teaching is good when compared to our region. Many new technologies should be added in education or for teaching so that students can actively participate in various activities. The curriculum activities such as a state-level techzone which is hosted by our college every year. A high cash prize is awarded to the students and winners of various competitions.

Best for localities. If you are aiming for recruitment then this college is not fit for high packages
Placements: The highest recruiter from our college is TCS which has taken 139 students paying them an average of 3.4 lakhs per annum. Then came Tech Mahindra which took about 25 students with the same package as TCS. After that, Evive Health and Society General may have taken up to 25 at the maximum. These two were in the highest packages range as Evive offered 6 per annum and Society General offered more than 4 per annum. These companies had a cut-off of above 60% to be eligible. There were more than 5 to 6 companies which had any eligibility criteria for selection. Most of them were BPOs having a salary less than 2 lakhs per annum. Here, maybe 70 to 80 students were recruited. The last recruiter was from BEL company having a salary of 8 lakhs per annum. 4 students from EC were recruited in this company. Finally, more than 300 students have their offer letter in their hand.
Infrastructure: Nothing much to say about the infrastructure as this is an old college. There is a new library which was recently built. This library's infrastructure is awesome and is tall and vast in size. Coming to the EC building, it is called as Golden Jubilee building this one is not too old. It is a nice campus with 35% greenery, nice buses and a big cricket stadium. I am proud to say by this stadium I was able to see Sehwag. Three years back, the Indian cricket team played but I don't remember which match it is. Hostels are good.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. They will know everything about the topic but they are not really trained for the teaching skills. The course is the same that VTU Vishveshvaraya Technical University Belgaum. It is a little bit tough because the question paper would be tough.
Other: So if a student is nearby Shimoga, then it is best to do his engineering here. If he has a real talent, then this is not the place he should study. Better not to think that everything depends on college depend on yourself. I am only talking about the course not about placements.
