GATE 2025 Syllabus PDF: IIT Roorkee has released the GATE 2025 syllabus for all 30 test papers on the GATE official website. The exam dates for the test papers have been announced, followed by a new two-paper combination list. Candidates can check the schedule below. The GATE 2025 admit card is now available on the official website. It was released on January 7, 2025. The syllabus is available in PDF format and can also be downloaded here. The syllabus is different for all 30 test papers. The official website has activated GATE 2025 mock test links to help candidates understand the difficulty level and exam structure. The candidates must understand the exam pattern and syllabus to score well in the GATE exam. The GATE 2025 registration and correction facility has been closed.
The GATE exam syllabus comprises three major sections: General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, and Subject-Specific Paper. Interested candidates must know the GATE syllabus and the GATE 2025 exam pattern before appearing for the GATE 2025.
The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted in 30 different subjects. GATE Question paper will have 65 questions for 100 marks, including 15 marks for general aptitude questions. The paper codes AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH, XH, and XL will have 15 marks for general aptitude & the remaining 85 marks are devoted to the specific subject. All other paper codes except AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH, XH, and XL will have 15 marks for general aptitude, 13 for engineering mathematics, and the remaining 72 marks for the specific subject.
Candidates should also solve GATE question papers to learn about the important topics and types of questions asked in the GATE exam. The GATE syllabus for all subjects, including CSE, ECE, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering, can be downloaded below.

GATE 2025 Reasoning and Comprehension Syllabus (XH-B1)
The GATE 2025 Reasoning and Comprehension syllabus (XH-B1) is compulsory for all XH candidates (Humanities and Social Sciences). The section tests the candidate's ability to comprehend and interpret written information - skills critical to research in the Humanities and Social Sciences. Questions in XH-B1 will comprise of the following -

GATE 2025 Engineering Mathematics Syllabus
Candidates must know the detailed Engineering Mathematics syllabus for the GATE 2025 exam since this section is an essential part of the exam. The engineering mathematics syllabus is almost the same for every paper; however, in some papers, some topics may be added or removed from the given syllabus as per the requirement of the specific subject. Candidates must check the engineering mathematics syllabus for their specific subject.
Engineering mathematics as a section is included in test papers AE, AG, BM, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, ES, GE, IN, ME, MN, MT, NM, PE, PI and TF & will carry 13 marks.
