Absolutely satisfied with teaching and infrastructure.

Placements: There were amazing placements and about 80% of students were successfully placed. The salary was as high as 22 lakhs per annum to a minimum of 2 lakhs per annum. About 90% of students got internships as accountants, CA and MBA in companies like Godrej, Tata, MTNL and Mahindra which visited the college.

Review of K J Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce.

Placements: For placements, the college invited various companies, and the companies offered jobs and internships to students with an attractive salary package. The minimum salary offered ranges from Rs. 8,000-9,000 per month. Companies visited the campus for placements offered jobs in the marketing field, accounts department and many other various fields. Overall it was a good experience.

Really good infra but low in the faculty and placement areas.

Placements: The placements for my batch were not up to the mark. Very few opportunities for students who wish to pursue CA articleship. Students expecting to work in the finance or accounting background have very few opportunities. The lowest stipend offered was Rs. 3000 in a Ghatkopar-based small sized firm. The placement cell has to drastically improve if it wants to see itself on the top as compared to other elite colleges like HR and RA Poddar.

Best infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: The placements were conducted very efficiently and smoothly. A small WhatsApp group was also formed for the students who were interested in applying for the campus placements. They used to get regular updates about the same. One of the companies that had come to the college was top. The average salary per month was in the range of 10000-18000. There were no internship placements at the college.

Good infrastructure and faculty.

Placements: Big corporate companies like TCS, ICICI Bank, and many nationalised banks visit for placements in this college. Depending on the interview, a student is selected for a particular job. 50% of the placements are placed if the student is good in communication skills and good in working etiquettes. But the student should have a thorough knowledge of the job he is applying for. In placements, basically backend and more clerical works are given and if a student is having good knowledge in finance or a...

Overall satisfying and absolutely good.

Placements: Placement to be provided was good and the placement team was supportive. Companies like Thomas Cook visited the campus for placements. Many people got selected and moved forward in their career. The whole placement team was also much supportive regarding any doubts that were raised in front of them.

Good infrastructure and faculty, well-developed campus.

Placements: The placement process was carried out in a smooth manner. There was proper management and supervision which helped the students to identify the companies in which they had to give the interview. The salary offered was Rs. 1.8. lakhs to Rs. 2 lakhs PA. Many good companies like ICICI, HDFC, Kotak Mahindra etc visited our college for campus for interviews. Approximately, 50% of the students were given placements.

Pathetic experience at reputed Somaiya College.

Placements: There was no placement provided as such and generally, there is no placement by any college after BCom. And even if there was, I do not think Somaiya would be any good for BCom graduates. A college which cannot manage conducting lectures properly, won't even care for placements.

You'll have a great experience here if you fall into the right group and get groomed properly.

Placements: Placements: I have done my BCom here and simultaneously, I was having my CA-IPCC exams, so I did not pay much attention towards Bcom and getting placements. But I am sure there would be great placements for students here with great opportunities and job profiles.

Best courses with the best teaching and a sharp career builder.

Placements: The college provides best placement opportunities as multinational companies conducted placement and offered good salary for the students. Salary ranged from rupees 10000 – 22000 per month. Internship rate was very low as many students were undergoing internships under various professional courses.

Competitive due to autonomous status but there are better options.

Placements: The placements provided by the college were not great. The highest provided was by TCS with CTC around 4 LPA. Most people opted out of the placement process and did not sit for the companies. This could also have been the case as many were giving their CA and CS exams along with B.Com.

Campus: It’s really awesome. One of the best campus in Mumbai. Placement: You can get good placement. As for myself, I have done B.Com from here and got good placement. Faculty: They are good but frankly speaking some have very arrogance in themselves. For studying: If you really want to study and want to secure good percentage, this college is not for you. If you want to enjoy the college life, then its definately for you. Programme: Various programmes are conducted, so that students can enjo...

K.J Somaiya has a brand name. The college has the best campus in Mumbai. But the college is not up to the mark in quality of teaching and even the college crowd is not that great. Even the fee structure of the college is affordable. Canteen food is great although it is pure veg. There are 4 canteens inside the campus. The campus does provide sports and fitness facility. We do have a hostel in our college campus.

Good campus but management is bad.

Placements: It was all dependent on your name on list and payment you have to make. They go by list process and approximately list close on 75-79%. Majority of students are doing CA CS so as no attendance college this college is best for this type of students, average package is 5-6 Lacs.
