This college gives good support in academics and sports as well.
Placements: There are a total of 30 students, and it is a 3-year course with clinical practice. All 30 of them are getting internships, and all are doing great jobs. You can also continue as a lecturer in this course after M.Sc. Even a Master's is present in the college with all the clinical practice, and good lecturers and guides will support you.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are good and are the best in Mangaluru. They provide Wi-Fi and a college Gmail ID for our use. There is also a big library, and it is open till 11:00. We also have our own department and classrooms with projectors. The college has its own hostel with a mess. There are free medical facilities for students.
Faculty: The college has good faculty, and all are graduates with a Master's in the course. The college's curriculum is easygoing with Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Anaesthesia subjects. Exams are difficult, but you can pass because the pass percentage is 50%.
Other: It was a new course and a new experience. It has good job offers abroad and in India. The events are few, and I wish they would conduct more events in college, but events are going on nowadays. The campus is the best with a good venue and a nearby hospital. There are also bus facilities and even an outdoor ground and an indoor stadium.

Rooms are well-furnished with attached bathrooms. Food is provided by caterers or a college canteen, ensuring it is healthy and hygienic. Safety is maintained with security and surveillance cameras, wardens, and discipline measures. Study areas are quiet with good lighting and comfortable seating, plus computer rooms with internet access. Other amenities include recreation and indoor games, a mini library, a prayer hall, a general store, and medical facilities.

Review of K.S. Hegde Medical Academy.
Placements: There are no placements in medical colleges. We have to qualify for NEET PG and we get seats through our merit, or we can apply to other hospitals ourselves. However, because our college is well-known, it is easy for us to apply for jobs. We do have internships which are compulsory for one year. Internships are the most important part of this course, as we understand everything that can be applied practically. It makes us grow as doctors and enhances our skills, but the stipend is low. I would rate it 3 stars.
Infrastructure: Our laboratories are well-equipped. Sports facilities are good. Games like football, basketball, and volleyball are available. There is no badminton court. A swimming pool is not available. The infrastructure of our hostel is good, but the mess food is not great. Personal vehicles are not allowed, which is a huge disadvantage. Every day, we have to walk at least 1 kilometer to the hospital.
Faculty: Our faculty members are excellent. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. They are experienced. Our course curriculum is primitive. Modern education requires textbooks. There should be more interactive teaching. Our course curriculum is difficult, and this course should include certain mandatory activities for students.

Placements: Placements are not provided by the college, but there is an internship program of 1 year within the hospital itself. Students are provided with a stipend of 750 Rs per month. All the students who have cleared their third-year university exams are eligible for the internship program.
Infrastructure: Our department is within the hospital itself. Classrooms are digital and ventilated. Free Wi-Fi is provided for the faculty members and students. The college has a vast and spacious library where study materials and books are available. The hostel is provided with clean rooms and good nutritious food. It has an indoor badminton court and outdoor football and basketball courts.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful and supportive in our studies and other extracurricular activities. Teachers are highly qualified, and most of them are doctors themselves. They are friendly and provide knowledgeable teaching. Exams are conducted yearly.
Other: Department of Medical Imaging Technology is more like a family. It is a supporting system in both our studies and other extracurricular activities. Cultural fests are conducted every year where students are able to showcase their talents in dancing, singing, acting, painting, etc. Sports meets are also conducted every year.
