Q:   Is BCA at Kamal Institute of Higher Education and Advance Technology worth the investment?

    A:
    {Source: BCA students & alumni}

After analyzing the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the key points:

    Placements:
    * Less than 40% of students get placed in reputed companies like Wipro, TCS, and Lenskart.
    * Average package range is INR4-INR5 LPA, with the highest being INR11 LPA and the lowest being INR3 LPA.
    * Limited internship opportunities are available, mostly in startups.

    Infrastructure:
    * Decent infrastructure, including modern computer labs and libraries.
    * Availability of wi-fi, projectors, and air conditioners in some classrooms.
    * However, some rooms lack air conditioning during summers.
    * No playground or medical facility on-campus.

    Teaching Quality:
    * Faculty members are generally friendly and willing to help students.
    * Some teachers have Ph.D.s, while others may not have sufficient knowledge of the subject.
    * Course curriculum is relatively good and relevant to the IT industry.

    Additional Notes:
    * The institute does not have a strong reputation for placements, despite claims of having good connections.
    * Students reported difficulties in getting hired due to limited company visits and placements.
    * The college has various societies and clubs, offering opportunities for extracurricular activities.

Based on these points, it seems that the BCA course at Kamal Institute of Higher Education and Advance Technology may not be worth the investment for those seeking lucrative career options immediately after graduation. While the institute provides a decent education and infrastructure, its placement record and limited internship opportunities raise concerns. Students who prioritize a strong academic foundation and networking opportunities might still find value in attending this institution. However, those seeking immediate employment upon graduation may need to consider alternative institutions with stronger placement records.

The worst college with the worst faculty.
Placements: Approximately 30% of students were placed; the highest package was 5 LPA, and that too wasn't in the IT sector. They copy posts from LinkedIn and share them in placement groups, then claim to have good placements. No big IT companies visit this college. Some small companies come to give only BPOs and BDE call center jobs.
Infrastructure: The lab has Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections, but the systems are too old and always lag. During inspection, they rent systems to show off. The rooms have AC but they don't work. It's only for freshers. The college doesn't have any ground and for indoor games, it has a small room with a table for table tennis. There's no hostel. The canteen is very small and the food isn't good. There's no medical facility available at the college. Rooms have projectors but none of them work.
Faculty: Faculty have PhDs, but they're not approachable and don't teach well. Most of them don't even have knowledge of the subject they're teaching. They'll not even give you any good internal marks. The curriculum has been recently changed by the GGSIPU so it's pretty good and gives good knowledge but it doesn't make you industry-ready. Internal exams are taken twice a semester and external exams are held once a semester.
Other: I chose this course to enter the world of coding and the IT industry. I wish there were more practical things in the syllabus than the theoretical ones. They don't help in practicals or coding. Only two events are held every year and it is mandatory to attend, according to faculty members. Those two events are a freshmen party and a farewell party for which you'll have to pay 2000–3000 rupees twice a year.

Our college provides good placements in top companies, infrastructure, and facilities.
Placements: The rate of placements in our college is above 80%. The average salary package in our college offered ranges from 4 LPA to 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Wipro, Concentrix, etc. Roles offered in our course are related to website development, programming languages, and so on.
Infrastructure: The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. All classrooms are huge and well-equipped with the needs like projectors, smart boards, fans, air-conditioners, etc. The food quality is good and there is a ground for playing. We have a room for indoor sports like table tennis, carrom, chess, etc. The library is big, and you can get every book which you need for your study.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified for teaching. They have enough knowledge. They are always ready to help students. The course curriculum is relevant because we are taught all the subjects which are useful for us. We get additional courses like diploma in French, CA certificate program in advanced Excel, etc. The level of semester exams is moderate. The passing percentage is above 40%.
Other: I chose this course because it has a lot of opportunities for my future. In our college, there are many societies like technical society, dance society, drama society, etc. Many events are conducted in our college like coding competitions, quiz competitions, etc. You can get 100% scholarships on your tuition fee.

    My college and its review.
Placements: The percentage of students who got placed was below 10%; the highest placement achieved was 3 lacs per annum. No internships are offered from here; we have to apply ourselves. The roles offered are call centre, marketing, and receptionist. The students there are not very happy with their placements .
Infrastructure: In the case of infrastructure : computer labs: have high-speed LAN cables but PCs' specs are low. The library is full of books that are required by course and they also subscribe to weekly magazines and newspapers. The canteen has more area but less food.
Faculty: Teachers are not serious about completing their syllabus and are very approachable before exam come. BCA (bachelors in computer application) has no role in physics, chemistry, or a little bit of math, so overall scoring is pretty easy in this course. The exam level is moderate and anyone can pass or even score good marks .
Other: I chose this course because it has no physics or chemistry subjects but has little role for mathematics and the course mainly focuses on computer-relevant subjects.

There is no ragging environment, and doing ragging is also a punishable offence.
Placements: Only 10-20 students got selected in interview rounds from our college. The highest salary package offered is approximately 4 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Various companies like Infosys, Wipro and many others visit here for placements. They offer you more chances to get a good job.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is overall good here. There are a library, dance room, canteen, seminar hall, computer lab and BJMC lab. There is a sports group which plays directly in university competitions for sports like volleyball, cricket, chess, running, basketball, badminton, etc.
Faculty: All the teachers here help you to understand the topics. They always support you and give you extra knowledge. Moreover, they will conduct extracurricular activities for you, which makes you more effective in your day to day life. Overall, the teaching is excellent here compared to other IPU colleges.
Other: I chose this course because the demand is increasing in the IT sector. As many new IT industries were started in India in recent years, there is an increase in demand for the IT field. So, there is a huge number of job opportunities for us.

Review of Kamal Institute of Higher Education and Advance Technology.
Placements: Around 60 to 70% of the students get placed in our college. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. Most of the placements are held in computer science. Around 50% of the students get internships in different companies like Goibibo, Cisco, Flipkart, Amazon, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. All the buildings are recently constructed and departments are very updated. Wi-Fi facility is also available on the campus. There is a large playground so that we can play different games. The library is also good and well arranged.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very supportive and helpful. They always appreciate students so that they can perform well. All the teachers are from a highly educated background. They also organize group activities for students of different classes. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-relevant.
Other: The campus crowd is huge. But our college has plenty of space and ground area. We also participate in different gaming activities.

Review of Kamal Institute of Higher Education and Advance Technology.
Placements: Only 40% were placed in our course. Basically, our course is from technical background and recently this year has been a recursion year. That's why placements are least available in our college. In our college, the highest package is 11 LPA, the lowest package is 3 LPA and the average package is 4-5 LPA in BCA Course. The recruiting companies for our course is Wipro, TCS, Lenskart, Concient, etc. Only 20–30% of students got internships from our course from startup companies. The roles offered in our course is Software developer, Data Analyst, Web developer, etc.
Infrastructure: In our college the facilities are quite decent and the infrastructure also good. According to our course, the practical lab is there and the systems are working properly. The WI-FI is available in our college but it is only for faculty. We have large classrooms but in some classes we don't have any AC. In the summer, they should work on this problem. We don't have any hostels, but in college, the facilities are good, like fresh drinking water, friendly faculty members and clean classrooms. There is one canteen on the 3rd floor but they should have to make a proper canteen. Our college doesn't have any playgrounds, which is the worst disadvantage of this college.
Faculty: The faculty are quite friendly and helpful for each and every student; they are well qualified and they have advanced qualifying degrees in their field. The teaching quality is good; they have good teaching skills with some good examples. The course curriculum is good, according to IT department; the curriculum is very good and that makes student industry ready. If we talk about the difficult level of semester exam, it's quite simple We have 2 internal and one external exam in each semester and the pass percentage is at least 33% in each course.
Other: I want to be a data analyst, but I'm from a commerce background. That's why I have chosen BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) and if I'm talking about the best thing about my course, any student can enroll in it, whatever the stream they have. Some of the things, like the quality of the content, are very old so the university should have to improve them.
