Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) - Batch of 2024

The worst college with the worst faculty.
Placements: Approximately 30% of students were placed; the highest package was 5 LPA, and that too wasn't in the IT sector. They copy posts from LinkedIn and share them in placement groups, then claim to have good placements. No big IT companies visit this college. Some small companies come to give only BPOs and BDE call center jobs.
Infrastructure: The lab has Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections, but the systems are too old and always lag. During inspection, they rent systems to show off. The rooms have AC but they don't work. It's only for freshers. The college doesn't have any ground and for indoor games, it has a small room with a table for table tennis. There's no hostel. The canteen is very small and the food isn't good. There's no medical facility available at the college. Rooms have projectors but none of them work.
Faculty: Faculty have PhDs, but they're not approachable and don't teach well. Most of them don't even have knowledge of the subject they're teaching. They'll not even give you any good internal marks. The curriculum has been recently changed by the GGSIPU so it's pretty good and gives good knowledge but it doesn't make you industry-ready. Internal exams are taken twice a semester and external exams are held once a semester.
Other: I chose this course to enter the world of coding and the IT industry. I wish there were more practical things in the syllabus than the theoretical ones. They don't help in practicals or coding. Only two events are held every year and it is mandatory to attend, according to faculty members. Those two events are a freshmen party and a farewell party for which you'll have to pay 2000–3000 rupees twice a year.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the placements.
Placements: In my course, no one was placed from the college placements. There were no recruiting companies that came for hiring. Internships were also not provided by the college. No roles were offered, I had a pathetic experience with the placements. There was no placements drive.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and labs were well maintained loaded with MacBooks for editing purpose. The canteen food was not so good but was okay. Sports held were only cricket and table tennis, there were more indoor games. Medical facilities were zero.
Faculty: The teachers were extremely helpful, highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was excellent and the best. This course makes one very confident in the industry and practical knowledge makes the person independent to work in the industry. The passing percentage was 99% and the semester exams were moderate in nature.

Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) - Batch of 2024

My college and its review.
Placements: The percentage of students who got placed was below 10%; the highest placement achieved was 3 lacs per annum. No internships are offered from here; we have to apply ourselves. The roles offered are call centre, marketing, and receptionist. The students there are not very happy with their placements .
Infrastructure: In the case of infrastructure :
computer labs: have high-speed LAN cables but PCs' specs are low. The library is full of books that are required by course and they also subscribe to weekly magazines and newspapers. The canteen has more area but less food.
Faculty: Teachers are not serious about completing their syllabus and are very approachable before exam come.
BCA (bachelors in computer application) has no role in physics, chemistry, or a little bit of math, so overall scoring is pretty easy in this course.
The exam level is moderate and anyone can pass or even score good marks .
Other: I chose this course because it has no physics or chemistry subjects but has little role for mathematics and the course mainly focuses on computer-relevant subjects.

Kamal institute overview .
Placements: Placements are offered to everyone; it depends on your skills whether you get placed or not. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Job Hunt, etc. visit the campus. The average salary offered is INR 2–5 LPA.
Students also get internships; more than 60% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are not available, infrastructure is below average as compared to colleges in greater Noida, but the quality of education is better here; Wi-Fi is available, labs are available, classrooms are average in size, a library is available, and a canteen is available.
Faculty: The faculty is very knowledgeable and helpful. The curriculum is also very good for starting in industry. Semester exams are 7/10 in difficulty level. And everything else is fine.

Review of Kamal Institute of Higher Education and Advance Technology.
Placements: Only 40% were placed in our course. Basically, our course is from technical background and recently this year has been a recursion year. That's why placements are least available in our college. In our college, the highest package is 11 LPA, the lowest package is 3 LPA and the average package is 4-5 LPA in BCA Course. The recruiting companies for our course is Wipro, TCS, Lenskart, Concient, etc. Only 20–30% of students got internships from our course from startup companies. The roles offered in our course is Software developer, Data Analyst, Web developer, etc.
Infrastructure: In our college the facilities are quite decent and the infrastructure also good. According to our course, the practical lab is there and the systems are working properly. The WI-FI is available in our college but it is only for faculty. We have large classrooms but in some classes we don't have any AC. In the summer, they should work on this problem. We don't have any hostels, but in college, the facilities are good, like fresh drinking water, friendly faculty members and clean classrooms. There is one canteen on the 3rd floor but they should have to make a proper canteen. Our college doesn't have any playgrounds, which is the worst disadvantage of this college.
Faculty: The faculty are quite friendly and helpful for each and every student; they are well qualified and they have advanced qualifying degrees in their field. The teaching quality is good; they have good teaching skills with some good examples. The course curriculum is good, according to IT department; the curriculum is very good and that makes student industry ready. If we talk about the difficult level of semester exam, it's quite simple We have 2 internal and one external exam in each semester and the pass percentage is at least 33% in each course.
Other: I want to be a data analyst, but I'm from a commerce background. That's why I have chosen BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) and if I'm talking about the best thing about my course, any student can enroll in it, whatever the stream they have. Some of the things, like the quality of the content, are very old so the university should have to improve them.
