Facility wise it is getting better but placements are poor.
Placements: Campus placement is not offered at my college, which does not have a very well-built infrastructure. Yes, things are improving. Thanks to a few excellent lecturers. As a course, Pharma.D. doesn't have much popularity. An internship can be done at one of the most reputed colleges in Bangalore, Father Muller Medical College Hospital. Maybe 40% of my senior batch were placed.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure-wise, it is average. There is no Wi-Fi facility for students. The library is moderate. Labs are average, and classrooms are also fine. We don't have a college canteen or any medical facilities. Sports and games are conducted once a year as an intercollegiate competition.
Faculty: Currently, we have few teachers with good qualifications and credibility. This course, I believe, does not make students industry-ready. Exam-wise, it can be cleared. The pass percentage is 50%, but to clear it up, it is not very difficult since we have a question bank. This course should make students clinically very knowledgeable and should include bedside manners teaching.
Other: I wanted to be a doctor and treat people. Since MBBS feels far-fetched for me, I thought this would be a good alternative. This course needs a lot of modification and recognition. In terms of the syllabus as well as job placement, I would be really happy if there was any opportunity available for pharmacology in the government sector. Events, fests, and scholarships are available, but there has been no graduation day so far for any batch.
