My review of KGEC College.
Placements: The placements are very good in this college. There are many more companies that come every year to this college and hire students. Many multinational companies come for hiring students at every branch, like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Woods, Haldia Petrochemical, BARC, etc. They offer very high-profile packages according to students' capabilities.
Infrastructure: The faculty is good, the classes are clean, and teachers always come on time with no delays. You can go to the teachers in extra time, and they can help you solve your problems. There are computers in the lab, and teachers are also very intelligent. Many games are played in college, like football, cricket, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, and many more.
Faculty: The faculty is good, the classes are clean, and teachers always come on time with no delays. You can go to the teachers in extra time, and they can help you solve your problems. There are computers in the lab, and teachers are also very intelligent. The exams are moderately difficult. You have to give 4 class tests in a semester, 2 practical tests, and the final semester examination for both theory and practical.
Other: Firstly, I would like to say something about the popularity of this college. This college is a government college in West Bengal, and it holds second rank throughout West Bengal for government engineering colleges. It ranks after Jadavpur University in engineering. This college was established in 1992 and is situated in Kalyani with good infrastructure. I would suggest taking admission in this college because the fee structure is very affordable.

The review of KGEC by Rudra.
Placements: 70 to 80 percent of students were placed in our course. Top recruiting companies for our course are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, Accenture, Larsen and Toubro, and IBM. Top roles offered in our course are JDE, SDE, government officer, SWE, project manager, and gratitude engineer. The highest package offered in our course was 64 lacs per annum, and the average package offered is 4.5 lacs per annum. 20 to 30 percent of students got internships at Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facility of our department are good. Wi-Fi is available for studying. Labs are well-equipped. The library is there with good content of books. The quality of facilities in our hostel is excellent. The mess food is neat and clean. The medical facilities are also available. A ground is available for sports.
Faculty: All of our teachers are Ph.D. graduates, and even some of them are top researchers at top universities, so the professors are extremely educated, and they teach excellently. The course curriculum is important, and it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams depend on how much work a student has put into his studies. Besides, the semester exams are quite tough, and 70 to 80 percent of students pass the exams.
Other: I chose ECE in KGEC because our department provides the most internships and packages. And also, KGEC is also well known for their extremely good core branches. Everything is perfect about our course. There are multiple events and seminars happening each day. Our annual fest, Espektro, is the second biggest fest in West Bengal. The connectivity is also good. But our college does not have any particular background wall. Our college provides scholarships for every student whose CGPA is above 8.

Kalyani Government Engineering college is an option or not.
Placements: Placements are average. The highest salary package offered off-campus in our department is 83 LPA. It is not from the core. There is a training and placement cell in our college which does great work to attract companies to our college. The average salary package offered on-campus in our department is 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped. Some classrooms are air-conditioned. The girls' hostel is very old due to which students will have to face problems. There is no gym facility in our college.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified in their fields. They are helpful. They are not going to provide support for any non-core placements or internships. Semester exams are conducted by MAKAUT as our college is under MAKAUT. Exams are not very difficult. MAKAUT provides questions from a particular part or topic. The course is relevant and makes students ready for higher studies. Practicals make students ready for industries. Faculty members are good. They have ample knowledge in their field. They are helpful in the core subjects only.

A good experience in KGEC.
Placements: 75-80% of students are placed every year. The highest package of 2023-2024 has been 64 lacs per annum. The lowest package being 5 lacs per annum Top recruiting companies are TCS, COGNIZANT, INFOSYS, HPL, HCL, WOOD, DXCORR, etc. 30-40 percent of students get internships from several companies on campus or off campus drives. Top roles offered are VLSI engineers or many government jobs and many SDE and JDE jobs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not quite good. Wi-Fi is available. Lab instruments are needed more as they are less in number. Classrooms are good, and libraries are also good. I live in the hostel, Raja Ram Mohan Roy Hall, in Kalyani Government Engineering College. Hostel culture is rich in games, extracurricular activities, and other events. Food is also good, and the canteen is also available. The affordable hostel charges 2000 rs per month.
Faculty: Faculty is good with all Ph.D. teachers and professors. Some are among the top 2 percent of scientists in the world. The semester examination is not that tough, affiliated by MAKAUT. The fee for each semester examination is 1200 rupees, and the tuition fee for each semester is 6000 rupees in electronics and communication engineering. Almost 70-80% of students always get a good CGPA.
Other: Chose this course because of recommendations of my parents school teachers, and this college is one of the best government colleges in West Bengal for engineering, and the faculty syllabus and study system are effective here. I think there must be some improvements for lab instruments and practicals for students because they are in miserable states and fewer in number. Our annual fest is Espektro KGEC, the techno-management cum cultural fest of Kalyani Government Engineering College. The crowd is around 16-20k for the 4-day-long extravaganza and is the second largest fest of West Bengal. Scholarship is given mainly by SVMCM annually, 60000 rupees to every student with less annual income than 250000 rupees.

All about KGEC in one review.
Placements: 85% students placed in the Information Technology department this year. Overall, placement is 90%. TCS is the main hiring company, and almost all students are placed or go for higher studies. I would recommend this college. It is one of the top colleges in West Bengal.
Infrastructure: Our department has a separate building called Meghnad Saha Bhavan. All our facilities are well-maintained and the staff is well-educated. Our lab is also well-maintained, and we have good lab teachers. We enjoy our course, and our teachers are friendly. I prefer this.
Faculty: All our teachers are well-educated, and most of them have completed their Ph.D. degrees. They are very well-mannered. It is very helpful for performing at an industry level in whatever they teach. Semester exams are easy but complex. If you study, you might get great results.
Other: I love KGEC for their culture and clubs, especially our FEAT and Espektro.

Review of Kalyani Government Engineering College.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in our course is 80%. In my course, the highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest package is 5 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA. The top recruiting companies in our course are TCS, Cognizant, L&T, Wipro, etc. The percentage of students in our course who got internships is 50 percent in many companies like DXcore, Wipro, TCS, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by our department include sports, many technical programs, etc. The infrastructure of our department comprises large and clean classrooms with a seating capacity of 70 students per room. The labs of our department contain more instruments, kits, computers, etc. Also, our college has a library which contains all types of books. The quality of the facilities in our hostel is just awesome, with four B.Ed capacity per room, each containing 4 bathrooms, gym, sports, etc. The food quality of our hostel is medium, not good, not bad.
Faculty: The teachers of our course are more qualified and experienced; they are recruited by the government. The entry requirements of our teachers are M.Tech, Ph.D. Their teaching quality is more helpful, and they are much friendlier. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant, like Teach fest, Quiz, Programming Language, etc., which make the students industry-ready. The semester exams in our college are more difficult due to strict invigilators and CCTV monitoring. The percentage of passing is 95 percent.
Other: The course Electronics and Communication is more popular in this generation because this course made me work in hardware as well as software companies. This course also provided me a chance to join the government sector. I wish there would be improvements about our course, including more software-relevant subjects. Our college arranges many technical events, sports, and cultural events, etc. Our cultural fest name is Espektro, which is one of the biggest fests all over West Bengal. The campus of our college is more beautiful and green and is surrounded by a wall. Scholarships provided by the government include SVMCM, Oasis scholarship, etc.
