Life at Lady Hardinge Medical College as a medical student.
Placements: The total batch strength is 240. After the course gets completed, one has to compulsorily attend an internship of 1 year in the associated hospital which has its own stipend getting reviewed every year. After the completion, one becomes a certified MBBS doctor after which they choose to either practice or go through another entrance exam for PG exams to do their specialization.
Infrastructure: We have a newly built academic block where the lecture theatres are present with fully centralized air-conditioning. Library is open 24/7 with provisions of AC and Wi-Fi. Hostel is also available for the 1st to final year students and 1 room is allotted to 2 students. Everything is allowed except AC in the hostel rooms. The mess is also available which provides food 4 times a day, besides which other canteens are also available in the campus itself. Sports and games facilities are also there. Gym, swimming pool and various courts are also there.
Faculty: The professors are highly qualified and they teach well. They have years of experience and their teaching quality is upto the mark. The course curriculum is relevant and aligns well with the requirements of the current scenario. It makes us become better doctors. The semester exams are quite tough and the passing percentage is 50 percent minimum to be achieved in both theory and practical.
Other: I chose this course personally because I always wanted to be a doctor and to help people around me. We also host ‘splash’ the annual college fest which is inter-college and ‘cobweb’ which is also an intra-college fest. Besides that, different events are held at different points of the year. The campus crowd is also appreciable during fests. It is located in Connaught Place which is in the heart of Delhi, hence the connectivity is not really an issue. Extra-curricular activities are also held here which are undertaken by different societies.

I love my college and my college life. 100% placement is offered here.
Placements: I am currently a first-year, Batch 2022, MBBS student at Lady Hardinge Medical College. Also known as LHMC. It's a women's college for undergrads, and for postgrads, it is co-ed. There are 240 students in a batch. After MBBS, we go for PG. In an internship, all of us are paid INR 26,000 for a month, and in a PG, it depends on the college and the course chosen.
Infrastructure: We have provided buildings for our classes. We have assigned labs for each subject. We do have a library and a reading room that are available 24 hours a day. We have Wi-Fi only in the library. The hostel is good but needs more sanitation facilities. Mess is average, with breakfast, lunch, snacks at 4 p.m., and dinner. We have a swimming pool, a badminton court, and a gym. Obviously, we have outstanding medical facilities, as we have our own hospital.
Faculty: The teachers are highly knowledgeable. They are outstanding. And they are helping, understanding, and qualified. Yes, by the time we pass MBBS, we will be ready to treat patients. Our internship is all about that. In the first year, we have many exams, such as Term 1, Term 2, sent-ups, and the university exam—both theory and practical. Apart from this, we have regular class tests, small group discussions, self-directed learning, seminars, vivas, etc. We must score a minimum of 50% to pass the exams. The minimum attendance required for appearing in university exams is 75% in theory and 80% in practical.
Other: I always wanted to become a doctor, which is why I chose this course. We get to treat people, and there is a lot of respect for our professions in society. I just wish for a little more holidays in any course. It gets too hectic at times. Saturday should be a holiday for us. We have two festivals in our college: Splash and Cobweb. People from different colleges come here and participate in various events. The campus crowd is nice. We have good connectivity with different colleges across the country, especially in Delhi. We have academic and non-academic societies where you can pursue our hobbies.

The college is really so good.
Placements: The percentage of students placed was normal because this college is among the top 10 medical colleges in India, and the competition is really hard. However, there are good chances for placement, and the internship experience is very good. I really enjoyed my college life.
Infrastructure: The hostels are really good, and the food is really, really tasty and fresh. The timing for breakfast is 8 AM, lunch is at 1 PM, and for evening snacks, you can buy from the canteen. The canteen is also very good and great; it is open 24 hours.
Faculty: The teachers I had were really good at their work and taught me a lot, including some valuable lessons about life and the future. The exam hall is really good, with strict checking, and you are under security cameras watching you all the time, so there’s no chance for cheating.
Other: The course I was interested in is suitable for me, and I am really knowledgeable about it, which is why I chose this course.

Hardinge-the legacy and pride.
Placements: MBBS is the top course at our college in UG and is really good. All students get internships in their final year under the central government. The package is the same for all. Though hectic, the course is worth the effort. The admission is given by NEET UG, and this college comes under the top 5 UG MBBS colleges in India.
Infrastructure: The negative point is hostel doesn't have Wi-Fi and library is the only source for it. The food is okay, though better than at other institutes. The classrooms in the new building are really good; they are well equipped with AC, projectors, CCTV, and great benches.
Faculty: The teachers and faculty in all subjects are great doctors as well as great teachers. Some are better than others, but overall, all are really good. The curriculum followed is as per NMC, and semester and final exams are held by Delhi University itself.

Q:   How are Lady Hardinge Medical College cutoff 2024 marks determined?

A:

The Lady Hardinge Medical College NEET UG cutoff 2024 is determined based on a few key factors:

  1. Total number of seats available: The cutoff primarily depends on the total number of seats available in medical colleges across the country for that particular year.
  2. Number of candidates appearing for the exam: The larger the number of candidates appearing for NEET, the higher the competition and the higher the cutoff scores.
  3. Difficulty level of the question paper: If the question paper is perceived to be difficult in a given year, the cutoff scores tend to be lower to account for the tougher exam. Conversely, an easier paper may result in higher cutoff scores.
  4. Normalization process: NEET UG uses a normalization process to ensure fairness across multiple sessions of the exam. This normalization takes into account the difficulty level of each session's question paper.
  5. Previous years' cutoff trends: The cutoff generally follows a previous year trend, which helps students to anticipate it well while in preparation and to work accordingly.

After analysing all these factors and ensuring a fair and equitable selection process, the final cutoff for each category is determined by the Examination Conducting Body (ECB), which is the National Testing Agency (NTA). The cutoff marks are published after the declaration of results.
