Lakme Academy and MTV Launched Winged

January 13, 2020: Lakme Academy powered by Aptech launched India’s first hair and makeup web reality series Winged in association with MTV India. This reality show will give aspiring makeup and hair artist across country platform to showcase their talent. The winner will be rewarded the title of India’s first hair and makeup superstar. Among 16,000 participants, 15 were shortlisted and trained by Lakmé Academy experts for the web reality series. Finally 10 of them were chosen as final participants who were introduced to the grand stage of Winged. There were six episodes in total. The series stressed numerous makeup styles reflecting diverse cultures, genres of music and cosplays. The winner will also be the brand ambassador of Lakme Academy for a year.

Academy Organises “Backstage Drama”

February 25, 2019: The Lakme Academy powered by Aptech organised an event-Backstage Drama where students competed against each other to show off their hairstyle and abilities in maquillage in order to create drop dead looks. Students had to showcase their skills in three categories, including The Gothic Goddess, Shimmer in Neon and Marine Life. Using rare colours and offbeat make-up, they were epitomising their ability, their concept and their creativity. The hard work of models and celebrities behind the glamorous look can only be seen in the background. Their personal delicacy with the craft brought about significant change that mesmerised the audience.
