B.A. in Food Technology and Political Science - Batch of 2026

Dissatisfied due to lack of basic facilities and poor crowd interaction .
Placements: My senior batch did not get any placement from college but for the current batch, there are internships provided in semester 3 and semester 5 students in place of SEC subject. Placement is still not promised but professors do help with internships. To my knowledge, no one has been placed.
Infrastructure: The college lacks basic facilities like hygienic washrooms, and water for drinking or in washrooms. The canteen keeps on changing but it still wasn't edible till past one week. This new canteen seems to be nice but let's see for how long. Also, there are never any bandages or even sanitary pads (it's a women's college).
Faculty: The food technology department has the best-qualified professors with deep knowledge who make you participate in competitions and seminars to give real-life experience. But the political Science department is least interested as the no. of students are so much.
Other: I opted for this college only for food technology as it's an interesting field with high demand and it helps you if you want to start a business as well. Food is always in demand. It would be better if they gave us food as major even if the strength was less.

All about Laxmibai College, Delhi University.
Placements: 40% of students got placement till 2020. After COVID, placements are not there. 10L is the highest, 4L is the lowest, and 7L is the average. Amazon, Slice Pay, etc. 30% of students, manager, CA, CS, PO. Placement is not there in the college now, and the principal is also not working on the placement of the students.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, three buildings, two grounds, one eco park, computer labs in all buildings, projectors are not there, canteen food is below avg. No hostel facility available. College doesn't have hostel facility even though they have a girls' college. College timings and management are the worst.
Faculty: Teachers are not coordinating, they are qualified and knowledgeable, but not able to explain. No course curriculum is more focused on unnecessary things, students won’t get any skill from this course. Semester exams are difficult, and a minimum of 40% is required to pass the exam.
Other: Because of the hype of this course, nothing. Everything has to improve in this course. There is nothing called college life.

I'm not satisfied with the cleanliness and slow operations of college
Placements: There are indeed options for internships provided by our college, but as for economics, opportunities are limited. There are not many internships available specifically for economics students in our college. Placements according to our college are available for 80% of students.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are not always spacious and often consolidated. Canteen is good as compared to previous years, but can be improved even more.
Faculty: Faculty members are mostly supportive if one has a genuine issue. They are knowledgeable, and qualified but would be much better if they take the proper time and patience to cover the syllabus. Besides that, course curriculum is relevant, but we need to learn some skills on our own to be industry-ready. Semester exams are not tough if studied properly. Pass percentage is 5 CGPA.

B.A. (Hons.) in Psychology - Batch of 2024

Satisfied from the college.
Placements: More placements are available for Commerce and Science students as compared to Humanities. Professors do guide you for your specific field internships, and at times they make sure that you do some internships as well, but those are not paid. Though it will enrich your field experience and give you exposure to the practical application of your paper. Don't expect any kind of placement from the college's end for psychology students.
Infrastructure: Labs and smart classrooms are good, the library is maintained well with space for self-study and reading. Facilities are good for a government institute. Hostel is not provided by the college, the college canteen is okay, not that good. Medical facilities are provided well. Sports and game equipment and space are also provided by the college for the concerned students. There is a separate gym for workouts and a ground to practice your game.
Faculty: Faculty is good, they have the expertise in their field and guide you for real-field exposure as well. They are supportive and try to inculcate various interesting teaching methods to improve our learning. The course curriculum is relevant and is focused on making students skilled. Semester exams are not that difficult; if you are consistent with your classes and work, you can ace the exams with good marks.

I'd suggest that if you live far then take admission in the one that’s nearest.
Placements: There are no college placements provided by our college, so you need to apply for jobs on your own. The placement cell is also almost nonexistent; there are no activities that happen as such in the name of the placement cell. And as arts/humanities students, we need at least a master's degree to get a job somewhere. So try to take up internships that are provided under the college in place of your SEC course so that you can get hands-on experience with how commercial institutions work. A lot of internships are from publishers and companies.
Infrastructure: As for Wi-Fi, there is no internet on the college Wi-Fi. Labs are pretty well-maintained, and all the instruments needed are available at the labs. Classrooms in the newer buildings are way better than those in the old building. The old building is really not maintained that much, and there is no network coverage if you have a Jio SIM; only Airtel works in college. The library has significantly improved; now there are multiple copies of books available, and the reading room is quite nice to do your work, but the only downside is there are no working plugs to use for your laptops or chargers.
Faculty: The teachers in the psychology department are well-qualified, like those at any other DU college. They are helpful and nice and will guide you throughout your semester. The curriculum for the B.A. program is quite relevant to the new education policy guidelines, and since you need a master's degree to get a job, the syllabus covers all the important topics and concepts that you might need for your M.A. entrance.
Other: The college and the course in itself are great. The problem is the crowd, as most of them come from lower-income backgrounds. They have no etiquette about how to behave or act and also don't have the basic courtesy to keep the college property neat and clean and not break things.

Infrastructure of our college is good.
Placements: According to last year, the highest placement package was approx. INR 10 lakhs per annum and minimum 3.5 lakhs per annum.
And 60-70 students got internships last year in EY, Chegg Tata Power, and many more.
Top roles offered are accounting, finance, auditing, banking, etc.
Infrastructure: Classroom and library were well maintained but Wi-Fi is not that good all over campus. It is good and big, but the network is not available on campus. The canteen was not that good but faculty had really good food and other things available in our college.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful and very hardworking and knowledgeable.
Semester exams are a little bit difficult but the teachers were good.
Passing percentage may be 4-5 cgpa but according to college, 7-8 cgpa is good.
Teachers teaching quality is good and they are friendly.
Other: Crowd is not that good but connectivity between seniors and juniors were good.
