Absolutely good college to have a great social life, although dissatisfied with the facilities.
Placements: I am in the final year of B.Com and currently reviewing the status of companies that have approached the college. The companies that the college has connections with are not fascinating at all. The roles mostly are in the accounts and finance department. No internship program is provided by the college, but students are free to do it on their own and are given concessions in attendance for the same.
Infrastructure: To begin with, the library is decent, with a good book collection, and access to Wi-Fi is provided. The tables and chairs are comfortable for long hours of sitting. Talking about computer facilities, my college has about 4 computer labs fully connected with Wi-Fi. The quality of food is good and affordable. The infrastructure in the classrooms is currently undergoing a revolution. My college is under renovation, and the infrastructure being built is quite similar to international standards, such as new wooden benches, air conditioning in classrooms, whiteboards with projector support, etc. However, the college lacks in sports, as there is no proper place to conduct sports activities, and the equipment provided is not up to the mark.
Faculty: The faculty members at the moment are decent; I cannot really say that they meet the standards of a well-to-do college. Exams are pretty easy, with no great difficulties or challenges. The curriculum followed till this year was from Mumbai University, which is a complete ***, but from the next year, the college is becoming an autonomous college, so a fresh, newly designed curriculum, which is industry relevant, shall be brought.
Other: Well, I chose the course because I am doing multiple courses and this college offers room for students who want to take up multiple courses together, like CA, CS, CMA, etc. The portion of my course is too old and no upgrades are made to it from 2010, so I look forward to having fresh things being taught to us. Talking about the events, my college has dozens of events. The college has enthusiastic students and a variety of events going around: dance, drama, skits, plays, raps, singing—everything is covered. The college also has a lot of ties with clubs, organizations outside who have experts in various relevant fields. The campus is quite average, but the college is still accessible, as it takes 10 minutes of walking from the railway station only.

It is the best college for commerce students. Its infrastructure is very cool and sophisticated.
Placements: Above 70-80% of students got placed in this college. The cut-off of the college is above 75-80%. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Wipro, Mahindra, L&T, and many others. They hire students and provide internships and industry projects. Students can work with faculty on research projects offered in the final year only.
Infrastructure: I am in the first year of my bachelor's. The infrastructure is developed and super cool. Restrooms are well-cleaned and modern. Classrooms are good. It has a quite big library which is helpful for students to study quietly.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. Their teaching is understandable. Sometimes, our college also provides notes, so it is quite helpful for students. Business study helps students to understand commerce and industry for commerce students. It is the best college. Teachers are well-qualified for their jobs. They adopt good teaching techniques for the understanding of students. Exams are a bit difficult but they prepare students for semesters.
Other: The college has a better reputation, and its crowd is good. The college campus is not big. It arranges various fests and events.

The teaching faculty is good and very helpful, but exams and checking are very hard.
Placements: Companies that visit this college are not very good, and there are limited placement opportunities. Based on what I’ve heard, no one in my friend circle who attended this college has secured a placement through it. The admission merit is quite high, with the last merit list closing at around 85-87%. If students belong to the OBC or other reserved categories, they may gain admission with scores as low as 50% or 60%. Since it’s a government college, students from these categories are prioritized during placements as well.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite old, consisting of a simple four-story building lift used by staff and disabled individuals. Other students are required to climb the stairs every day. Although the college provides Wi-Fi, the connection is very slow due to the high number of users. The library is spacious and a pleasant place to spend time. However, the canteen is problematic, especially during the rainy season, as the roof leaks badly. The tables get wet, making it difficult for people to eat comfortably. The quality of the food is below average. As a vegetarian, I find it challenging to eat there, especially since they also serve non-vegetarian options. So, I do not prefer to eat. Additionally, the canteen area is quite small, and there are no recreational spaces on campus.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and provide good presentations and notes. They explain chapters with a good understanding of concepts. Exams and paper evaluations in this college are quite difficult. Most students who progress to their second year of B.Com receive ATKT in at least two subjects. One is business law and the the other is economics. In our class, everyone received a KT in these two subjects. Even if students write the exam, teachers expect answers and points that match the textbook word to word, allowing no room for personal interpretation.

A college with good faculty members for graduation courses.
Placements: I passed in the year 2022. Around 80% of students got placed through college at big companies such as Bank of America, Tech Mahindra, Motilal Oswal, etc. The average salary package offered was 4.3 LPA, which equated to Rs. 23,000 per month. They did not provide any internships from the college.
Infrastructure: There were no hostels for students, so those traveling from home had to seek paying guest accommodations or rental houses if they relocated for college. The quality of food provided in the canteen was very nice and affordable for college students.
Faculty: There were 6 semesters in 3 years as per the university. Teachers were very helpful during exams. Semesters were not very difficult. They did not provide question banks and important questions if needed. They took students for IVs yearly to gain knowledge about the industrial world. The course I chose was about accounting and finance. The faculty for the finance program was very nice.
Other: My passing year was 2022. Our college conducted many sports events for students. Interested students in sports should consider this college. The big event named Kurukshetra is held every year where there are shows of entertainment, sports, etc.

M. L. Dahanukar college is good.
Placements: M. L. Dahanukar College of Commerce in Mumbai offers a placement structure that includes campus recruitment for final-year students, primarily for commerce and management streams. Reputable companies like TCS, HDFC Bank, Infosys, ICICI Prudential, and Kotak Mahindra Bank participate in campus placements, offering roles in finance, banking, and IT sectors. The college conducts placement sessions near the end of students' final semester, providing an opportunity for graduates to secure a job before they complete their exams. Thus, additional qualifications or relevant skills can significantly enhance placement outcomes.
Infrastructure: The library is good, very spacious, books are in good condition, and ventilation is good. Classrooms are huge, and ventilation is good. They need to be improved more. The Wi-Fi quality is nice. It is on each floor. There are 4 computer labs. The college is under renovation; it will complete its renovation in 2 years.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. Some are Ph.D.-level or masters-level, etc. M. L. Dahanukar College of Commerce in Mumbai is well-regarded for its experienced and highly qualified faculty, known for engaging teaching methods that focus on both theoretical and practical learning. The college's faculty includes notable academic leaders. Several faculty members specialize in diverse fields, including IT, financial markets, mass media, and environment management, among others, providing a rich educational experience for students. Coordinators like Smt. Archana Talekar (for IT programs) and Dr. Mitali Shelankar (Banking & Insurance, and BMS programs) play an active role in guiding students through specialized programs. The college also invites industry professionals as guest lecturers to enhance the learning experience. Additionally, faculty members are involved in initiatives like the National Service Scheme (NSS) and various extracurricular activities, which help foster a well-rounded education.
Other: I chose this because it would help me cope with my accounting knowledge and help me get placed in good companies or banks. I wish the extra theory part could be improved, as it is wholly an accounting course. Event management and the campus crowd are also good; extracurricular activities take place very frequently.
