Diploma in Computer Engineering - Batch of 2023

Not balanced. Less enjoyment more studying .
Placements: Math college was recently brought by kuttukaran group which is big automobile company in india. Before that the college placements was not that good (heard from seniors) now the college doing a good job in providing internships and placement for the students which is appreciable.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are avarage. The hostel is pretty bad only got 6 rooms I guess. The kuttukaran group take initiative in bringing new labs for students with the latest specs computer lab and automobile lab with bmw engine to work in and much more. Canteen is good. And they have rooftop turf which is a plus factor .
Faculty: Teachers are good and very supportive and knowledgeable when it comes the subjects in syllabus. Although there not that knowledgeable when it comes to new technology for Students who are tech-savvy it might be disappointing. When the syllabus change in basis of new technology the teachers will also change for sure.
Other: The new management is pretty strict .

Review of Matha College of Technology.
Placements: The placements are provided only one time in my three years of engineering career. Even they were provided in BPO companies mainly. I haven't seen any reputed companies visiting here for placements. However, our college is trying to improve its standards and will improve them soon.
Infrastructure: The facilities in the college are moderate. There is a separate hostel facility for boys and girls, and nutritious food is served in a centrally located mess. Facilities like telephonic access, newspapers, TV, Wi-Fi, access, etc., are available. There are a civil engineering lab, computer lab, electrical lab, electronics lab and mechanical lab.
Faculty: There is a lack of good teachers who wish to teach students for a better career. Teachers are very helpful to students to write exams, and most of the students are passed all years.
Other: The crowd is very low here. Scholarships are available, and more fests are organised every year. More events are organised every year, and they are satisfying. Overall, the college is nice. I really like football matches, and they are the best. Many people come and gather.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty.
Placements: In the first semester, there were almost 60 students, but at last, there were only 47 students for the examination, and only 7 students passed out from this college. They offered placements, but companies related to our course did not visit here. Some companies visited here were also fake.
Infrastructure: There were very poor lab facilities. Labs are constructed only a few days, i.e.,3 days, before our exams. The Wi-Fi is not available for students. Classrooms are average. The library is good. Canteen foods are some times very poor and not hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers who were teaching are just pass out from colleges. They have no experience, and they also don't have teaching skills. Not all are like this, i.e., almost 70% of teachers are like this. They can't manage the students in a classroom.

Don't join this college; it is an utter disappointment.
Placements: The college provides poor placements, and the placement rate was also low. Barely a few companies came for recruitment, and those were mainly BPOs. If you are looking for better placements, then Matha College is a wrong choice. No special training or sessions are provided to students on how to present oneself in an interview.
Infrastructure: The college provides average infrastructure facilities. There are decent classrooms and below average labs. There is Wi-Fi connection in the campus, but it is rarely accessible. The canteen is okay with decent food. Boys hostel is a mere 4 room building, and I heard that the girls' hostel is better and decent.
Faculty: There are experienced and qualified faculty members. But there is not much encouragement or motivation from their side. You'll get fined for almost all small things. I guess they are more money minded than providing quality education. The industry exposure is pathetic. I joined here only because there were not many options to choose from and because of the allotment.

My engineering life was almost spoiled in that college.
Placements: Not many companies are interested in conducting campus recruitment in our college, except a few which are not famous. If you are looking to be placed through a campus interview in a well-known company, while joining this college, then you would probably be disappointed. Only a few students got campus placements in the previous batch.
Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi hotspot facility almost everywhere on the campus. But the connectivity is not available every time. You would probably be connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot without internet connectivity most of the time. The labs and infrastructure are just okay. There is nothing like air-conditioned computer labs with high configured systems. What you have is mostly is old computers with keyboards covered in dust. The classrooms have projectors, but only a few of them works properly. Canteen is just okay but not recommended to have food regularly.
Faculty: The permanent faculty members are good with good teaching skills and experience. But the trainees are most probably the worst you can get on an engineering college. There are exceptions too. The computer department is better with a union of a good HODs and the teachers who are always supporting all the student's needs. I am really happy with those things.
Other: The college is located 1 km away from the national highway. And you cant find any local bus to reach the college from there. So you have to find your way. The college management is not interested in conducting arts and other extracurricular activities. There have been no sports events in the college during my college life. The only thing that they are interested in compelling students just to study to get marks on the paper.

Matha College of Technology review
Placements: The placement has only come one time in my four-year engineering career. That too was for BPO companies mainly. The facilities in the college are moderate. They lack good teachers who wish to teach students for a better career.
I haven't seen any big companies coming for placement, but the college is trying to raise its standards and will get to it soon.
Infrastructure: The looks are good enough. Space for classes, the scenic beauty, peace climate and neighbours really offer a good and smooth movement. The canteen also is neat and they provide good food and reasonable cost. They have a big ground for extracurricular activities.
Faculty: They have a course in B.Tech and also in diploma. I had studied there in the year 2011-2015. The faculty members that were there that time was good actually. Now they have gone and the college is taking care of diploma only. The electronics and communication department is very poor now.
