Mathabhanga College Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses
General category candidates need to score 60% in Honors subject along with 50% in aggregate and ST, SC category candidates need a minimum of 60% in Honors subject along with 45% in aggregate.
Mathabhanga College Admission Process
Admissions are offered strictly on the basis of merit. Merit list is prepared on the basis of Index Marks for all categories of students. Index Marks are calculated as follows.
Formula of Index Marks = T+2S/6,
T= marks obtained in English + marks obtained in the Honors + best marks of two subjects (excluding ENVS, the subject opted for Honors and English).
S= marks obtained in the Honors subject (subject opted for Honors).
If the candidate doesn’t have a specific subject (opted for Honors) in his/her previous course, Index Marks are calculated as mentioned below:
Index Marks = T/4,
T= marks obtained in English + best of the other three subjects excluding ENVS.
Also, candidates must keep the following points in their mind while taking admission in this college
- E-counseling is compulsory. This college doesn’t offer any other method of admission. Candidates are hereby asked to check all the updates regularly after Merit List is published. For candidates failing to get admission at the schedule dates, no further admission request will be entertained by the college.
- After successful admission via E-counseling, a physical verification will be done on the next date of admission at the college premises. Candidates need to come with all their documents (in original) in between the scheduled dates. This physical verification is compulsory.
- Admission will be cancelled during physical verification if any data is found wrong.
- For SC/ST/OBC reservation, certificate only from SDO/ equivalent authority will be accepted.
- To cancel the admission, a certificate will be issued along with a ‘seal’ on the back side of the mark sheet.
Mathabhanga College Application Process
- Admission forms are available on the following site: www.mtbcollege.ac.in
- Candidates need to take a printout of application form generated after successful online submission of the forms and produce the same during admission.
- Note: Candidates can apply for 3 Honors courses and a general course in a single form and do not need to submit separate applications for each Honors course. In case the candidates are willing to apply only to a general course, they need to submit a single application form for the particular course (General).
- Candidates who have passed HS or equivalent are eligible to apply.
- Application fees for Honors course is 200 INR and General course is 100 INR.
- Candidates need to produce the following documents at the time of physical verification in both original and xerox:
- Printed copy of the filled application form
- HS Mark Sheet
- Age proof certificate
- Student’s own caste/ PH certificate from appropriate authority as per government rule.
- One colored passport size photograph.
