It is a good college to learn to become a good doctor. Faculty give their best to make you the best.
Placements: It provides good opportunities to get placement. You will get an assured internship of Rs. 23,500 per month for one year, and after that, you also have a 50% internal quota for PG seats, so it is a good point to choose this college for your betterment.
Infrastructure: It has an average infrastructure. It has a limited number of dental chairs. The auditorium and lounges are better. The hostel facility is average, especially the boys' hostel. Girl's hostels are good, and they are well-maintained.

One of the best dental college and hospital - MAIDS.
Placements: Out of 32 students of 2012 batch, 11 were selected for PG. The salary offered is Rs. 92,000 per month. The rest few have opened clinics and have an average salary of Rs. 50,000 per month. Few of them are preparing for NEET MS 2019. This is the best dental hospital in the country, so the reputation is good. There is junior internship of 10-12 seats for the period of the 1st year offer which is not reserved for only MAIDS, in fact, all India level.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi facility provided. There are labs for making denture appliances. Histology classes and sports ground of MAMC are available. The quality of the lab is one of the best among Indian dental colleges. The hostel rooms are quite good which are offered from MAMC and canteens are open 24 hours.
Faculty: The courses offered here are bachelor of dental surgery and master in dental surgery in various departments like oral radiology and medicine, oral and maxillofacial surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics and conservative dentistry, orthodontics, pedodontics, public health dentistry, periodontics, and oral pathology.
Other: Dental health mela is organised in November/December every year.

Everything is perfect except few hostels.
Placements: After completing BDS, UGs can apply for JRship for which preference is given to students from MAIDS in interviews after written exam. Some hospitals conduct walk in interviews for which again preference is given to MAIDS students .Approximately 1 lakh per month is paid. Minimum 50,000 per month is paid at government institutions. At private clinics, minimum 15000 Rs is paid. Majority of the students get JRship at MAIDS, ESIC and Ambedkar . 100% internship rate is there as it is compulsory and it is provided at MAIDS only Alternatively, students can apply as clinical assistants also. Besides, there are lab technicians ,nurses and hygienists also.
Infrastructure: Wifi is not available for students. However ,proper pre clinical prosthodontic, orthodontic , haematology ,OP and other labs are there. There are separate lecture halls which are well conditioned and spacious. A separate library is there which stays open during college hours and also offers a variety of books along with research journals. There is a common hostel for both BDS and MBBS students. However,to be honest various forms of discrimination is being practiced against BDS students for providing them rooms and associated furniture. Sometimes, even chair and table is not provided. One has to fetch his/her own furniture . Beds are provided without mattresses. However, every hostel has different facilities. Some are well equipped and proper hygiene is maintained like in OGH and Mother Teresa hostel. But that is not the case with intern hostel. Boys hostels are quiet unhygienic. The mess in OGH offers buffet at really cheap prices .But their food quality is not good. The mess at PG hostel is quite good. Almost all the canteens have moderately fine quality of food. They offer good variety and hygienic food. The mess at LNH JR hostel is the best. Also, Nescafe has delicious items. Badminton courts are there at both girls' and boys' hostel. MAMC library stays open all the time. Gyms are also associated with two hostels.
Faculty: All the Senior Residents, Associate Professors, Professors and HODs are really helpful ,knowledgeable and of course qualified. Rather,I would say, over qualified owing to their no of thesis and research works and degrees. They help students throughout their journey and successfully convert them into professionals who have the calibre to start their own clinic right after the completion of the course. The curriculum for the course is perfect . The difficulty of the exams depends upon the preparation by the individual students. However , I would say they are easy to moderately difficult . A student needs just 50% to pass the year .
Other: I chose the course because I love the way dentists give the confidence to a smiling person while simulataneously treating a number of diseases. A dentist is not only a doctor/surgeon, but also an artist and an engineer. The best thing about dentistry is the instant relief that a patient gets after the treatment and the way patients give blessings. I think that there is a need to add a subject regarding modern technologies. One should be able to use them with as much confidence as one is able to use while filling cavities with conventional methods. Dental Health Mela is conducted annually. Besides ,there are students organisations who take guidance and support from faculty to conduct various functions. Faculty also organize various events at festivals and for welcoming the newcomers. Scholarships are provided to the toppers subject to some terms and conditions.
