MCC : The hency! Students of MCC are called gentlemen of MCC.
Placements: We get good placements. It provides campus interviews and training. It also provides good internship opportunities. Some students were placed in top companies. Many students are placed in HR and other roles. We have to perform well in our academics so that helps us for good placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is best compared to other MCCs. It is one of the oldest colleges ever, which was built by Miller. We have MRF Innovation Park, where we have a Korean cafe. The main thing is our gutters are the place where we stay the whole day and we chill.
Faculty: In the social work department, all the teachers are very friendly, and caring. They also help a lot with our career. They maintain their professionalism, and at the same time, they treat us like their own children. It conducts 3 ICA and in the 2nd ICA, we are assigned some assignments. At last, we have ESE exams, and they are not that much different if students follow their notes and lectures.
Other: I chose social work just because I was curious, but when I came to MCC and saw the culture and traditions, it stunned me. The teaching and the way they mingle with students help a lot in their careers. There is no partiality or dominance. Here I feel like my home. For sure once students enter MCC then there is no back.

A review on current days at MCC.
Placements: In MCC there is placement but it's not 100% placement; only 10 to 20 from a class of 60 get placed. Normally the placement enrollment starts at the beginning of your 5th semester or the end of your fourth semester; you can opt for placement or higher study. The highest package was from Standard Chartered (SC) & Deloitte; it was 6 lacs CTC. Accenture, TCS and some well-known companies will participate in the placement drive. The average package will be Rs. 3.5 Lacs in CTS. The top role offered in placement was FMO at SC.
Infrastructure: The campus is well maintained. You are free to go anywhere except the lake & farm; you can go there only if you are in scrub society, which is a club in our college that cares for the college's fauna and flora. We have a decent library that is named after one of our college predecessors. You can borrow books for a period of 2 weeks and can renew them for another 2 weeks. You can find various types of books, magazine and daily newspapers. Now about college fest, there are 6 halls (hostels) in MCC. Regarding food, it is best to not eat from the canteen.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful but some may show partiality. Regarding the teaching quality, I would give 5 out of 5 for 70% of professors and 3.5 for the rest, so when it comes to teaching, it's up to you, professor; some read PPT and some make class interesting. In MCC we have 3 internal continuous assessments (ICA), out of which the best 2 will be selected for your internal mark. During the months of April and November, we'll be having the End Semester Exam (ESE). Last, about course relevance, it's updated with reference to current affairs and industry.
Other: I choose B.Com A&F because of my interest in the accounting field. The course here is designed in a way where it focuses on basic to advanced-level accounting and finance concepts, which are all taught by faculty using real-life examples and case studies so it'll be much more engaging and interesting. About college fest, there are 6 halls in MCC that separately conduct their own hall event. There are freshers & farewell days, christmas & Pongal, which are conducted by your ngal, which are conducted by your dept. & we have a college annual fest called Deepwoods, which will take place for 3 days.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in our course is above 80%, and the highest average package offered for our course is nearly 8 LPA. The lowest average package is 3 to 5 LPA, and top roles include academic researchers, lecturers, zoologists, and animal nutritionists, etc.
Infrastructure: The college has good facilities for hostellers with a proper menu offering a variety of food items. Medical staff are also present in the college, and there are multiple grounds for sports, equipped labs, stocked library, and pleasant infrastructure on the campus.
Faculty: The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry. The difficulty of the semester exams is very high, so we have to study throughout the year. The pass percentage is above 70%, and the teachers are very helpful to students. The teaching quality is good, with well-qualified teachers holding PhDs and doctorates, etc.

The library is huge and consists of a good amount of materials. There is also an auditorium. There is some space for extracurricular activities. Hostel facilities are also available with mess service. Food quality is good.
Faculty: All the faculty members are well-educated and experienced. The teaching method is very good. They use various curriculum activities, presentations, and practical works. They are very helpful to students. The exams are conducted on a semester basis. The difficulty level of semester exams is moderate. There is a good percentage of passed students.

B.A. in Political Science - Batch of 2025
3.8
3Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Culture at the core: A college with a long legacy.
Placements: In my Department (Political Science), most students go for higher studies. Only a few opt for placements. Anyhow, internship and placement opportunities are actively circulated among students from their second year. The placement cell in our college does a good job of conducting seminars on the same for students from all departments. Campus recruitment is also available. But mostly only the students from departments like BBA and B. Com will make use of it.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are average. The college has a history of over 175 years. This means that most of the buildings are old. However constant upgrades and additions are made to the campus. A very recent addition is the MRF Innovation Park. A smart classroom is set up in almost all classrooms and departments. There is a separate building for the media and communication departments. The syllabus for Political Science covers almost all topics and the faculty members are also amazing. The quality of the syllabus and faculty members will vary with departments. The hostel in MCC is also very nice. We follow a student-run system and hence we call our hostels halls. We have six Residential halls. Food in the hall is average. Students are encouraged to participate in a lot of cultural and sports events that the college or hall may organize. Residents have more events and opportunities inside the college compared to non-residents. Athletes get free accommodation in halls. But the college facilities need an upgrade.
Faculty: Political Science department faculty members are very knowledgeable and the way they interact with students is also appreciable. All of them are alumni of our college. They have an in-depth knowledge of the subject. They also provide the students the space to express their views and opinions.
Other: MCC is known for its cultural activities and its liberal culture. We have over 30 departments and 6 Residential halls. Each department and hall has its events. The College Cultural Event is Deepwoods. Apart from this we also have other events like aurora, hall meet, etc. This means that the campus will be active throughout the year.
