Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) - Batch of 2022

Very Best Faculty & Best placements in 2022. Too Good Infrastructure you ever seen.
Placements: Mostly Gulf Country companies were recruiting like Dean Architets, which is one of the biggest architect companies. And India's Most of top architecture companies collaborated with MEASI. In MEASI more than 95% got placed within that 75% student placed through Internship.
Infrastructure: The best Interior & exterior, overal it is a perfect college with Free Wi-Fi only for staffs & Students. Most technically embedded lab with all amenities. Classrooms looks so pretty. Library is a place where we can find Peace. Hostel are only available for new college students. Canteen food is so good.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful every time but mostly it was full of Muslim Teachers and they were well qualified and knowledgeable persons. Basically, Architecture exams were very difficult because Architecture is more difficult than any studies in the world. But MEASI teachers will guide us very well.
Other: Architecture is my heartbeat so I picked It. Concentration Towards your studies will literally help you in MEASI.

Review of MEASI Academy of Architecture.
Placements: Placements are not provided in the architecture course compared to other engineering courses which have placements. You need to do an internship during the 4th year of your course and gain experience from internships for a duration of two semesters.
Infrastructure: The campus is spacious, and three students share one hostel room with bathrooms. The hostel has an attached mess where delicious food is available every day inside the campus. Delicious food is available nearby our college and in the heart of the city. There are entertainment places nearby.
Faculty: There are excellent and well-experienced staff members who are the best in the field. They try to provide you with the best education in the selected field. There are knowledgeable team members and qualified architects who guide you throughout your college life. They help and take care of your studies.

One of the best in academics but not great about the infrastructure and stuff.
Placements: In general, there is no placement in architecture. Very few times do companies come to college and hire people, and if they do, the package averages 40-50k per month for masters. For freshers who have completed the bachelor’s program, the salary ranges from 18-30k. All students get placed in internship programs, and there is no problem with it. Once you’re done with architecture, a lot of options are open for you, like interior design, graphic design, logo design, photography, and anything related to design.
Infrastructure: Measi has decent infrastructure, but there is no availability of Wi-Fi in classrooms. The library and labs are very resourceful and well-maintained, and the quality of the hostel and food is decent but not that great. It also shares the ground with a new college, which is used after getting permission from them.
Faculty: The teachers are really qualified and knowledgeable, and the quality of teaching is good as well, but the students should make sure they are progressive as well. The curriculum all over India is almost similar, which doesn’t make a student industry-ready. The syllabus we follow is not very updated, since it follows Anna University syllabus, which is COA affiliated. It’s not that difficult as well if we are regular with our studies. The pass percentage cannot be accurate, but it’s more than 95%.
Other: Anyone interested in designing and problem-solving can choose this course. A few subjects are not really updated to the current market demands. There is a yearly sports event, and regular guest talks happen. Regular architectural competitions and essay writing, poster-making competitions as well. Since the campus is located at the heart of Chennai, the connectivity is really good. Minority scholarships are available as well. Speaking about the campus, it’s not a big campus, which speaks for architecture itself.

I am satisfied with gaining knowledge, but it lacks infrastructure and extracurricular activities
Placements: There are no placements for architecture, and none of the students got placed in companies. There are no top recruiting companies for architecture. The top role offered in our course is a junior architect. Every student should do an internship from the architecture course. Our college doesn't recommend any firm for internships, so students have to do an internship on their own.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi facility, but there are a good lab facility and library. Our college has a good hostel, and the food served is also good. But there are no proper sports facilities, and medical facilities are less. There are less parking spaces, and also there is no proper college bus facility. Our college lacks infrastructure, and it needs to provide a proper play area and good infrastructure for students.
Faculty: Teachers here are qualified, helpful and knowledgeable. They are the best faculty members. Mostly, the course is relevant to the curriculum only. The course curriculum doesn't make students industry-ready completely as there is only internship practice for one year, which is very helpful to get ready for the site work and gain knowledge.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am passionate about architecture and like to design spaces and buildings. The best thing about our course is it is more creative and has challenging work. I wish that our college should provide practical teaching and more site visits. Our college doesn't organise events and fests. There are no extracurricular activities.

I was satisfied with the good faculty, although the college doesn't have any transport facilities.
Placements: Our course does not involve placement and all the students in this course need to find opportunities on their own. In the beginning, the highest salary offered was Rs. 25,000 per month, the lowest salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month and the average salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month. In our course, non of the top recruited company visited the campus. Roles offered were design-related like graphic designer, Junior architect, or students can start-up in their firm. Students don't apply for internships after completing the course. Although they could intern at any of the architecture firms as it is part of the course and it's mandatory for students to work as an intern for a year.
Infrastructure: The college provides a computer lab, multi-purpose hall, an auditorium, a library, a little workshop and big studios as classrooms. Hostel facilities are not good, and the food served in the canteen is not good. The college lack behind in sports facilities.
Faculty: Most of the teachers were well-qualified and experienced. They are always available to students. Quality of teaching and clarifying doubts were very good, and it improved the way of learning. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry, and it makes students industry-ready, especially after some practical knowledge acquired during the internship.
Other: This course involves designing, problems solving, thinking, etc. It also involves sketching and a little bit of making art, which is mostly centred around my desired zone. I would like it if our course would keep up with the current trends and ways of construction rather than sticking to the old methods.

Other: Measi is one college located in city premises and provides comparatively good education. One of the top architecture college in Tamil nadu. Though their teaching practices are a little conventional and prevents you from trying something new. The faculty is pretty good with some of the senior most in the city. The pros of the college are it's prime location and the exposure while the cons are the conventional teaching practices and lack of extra curricular activities. Sports and other facilities are not available. The number of intake have been increased recently which has made it a question mark if they can improve the standard or at least keep the present standard.
