B.A. in English Language and Literature - Batch of 2022
3.8
3Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
It is a good college with good facilities enclosed in a natural environment.
Placements: There were 43 students in our class. The course fee was comparatively lower than that of colleges in other districts. English is a pathway to teaching. After B.A. English, we can either go for B.Ed, M.A., or other short-term courses that require a degree as a minimum qualification. From our batch, 3 students are pursuing PG in government colleges. Many students are pursuing short-term professional courses such as medical coding, hospital administration, digital marketing, etc.
Infrastructure: Classrooms were good. The library was also pretty good. There was no hostel because most students came from surrounding areas.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, knowledgeable, and qualified. They helped us with every need. They were always available to help us in any way, even if it was not academically. The course provides students with an understanding of English literature, language, and linguistics. Semester exams were conducted by University of Calicut. One can easily achieve a minimum of 75 marks just by listening to the classes regularly.
Other: I chose B.A. English because my ambition was to become an assistant professor. This course was the foundation for my ambition. I am currently enrolled in an aided college as an M.A. English student. They need to include more about British history in the syllabus since it is relevant for M.A. English.
