Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.El.Ed Courses at Miranda House

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's what can be said about the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.El.Ed courses at Miranda House:

    * 100% Placements: According to the students, the college claims to provide 100% placements to its students, depending on their performance, including participation, grades, etc.
    * Dependence on Student Performance: Students mention that the placement opportunities depend on individual performances, emphasizing the importance of consistent effort and dedication.

    Satisfied with the faculty.
Placements: I am still studying and I am in the second year, so I do not know well about the placements, but in the fourth year, EL. ED students get unpaid internship opportunities which enhance the resume and help in getting better jobs. Extracurricular societies give good opportunities.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available, a 3-floor library (very spacious), classrooms are well maintained with furniture in good condition. I am not a hostel resident, so I do not know much about it, but I have taken reviews from my friends living in the hostel. The food served is of good quality, and the medical room is in the hostel itself with two nurses. Taekwondo classes are available also.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good. Students learn a lot through this course as it is a versatile course. BEL. ED exams happen annually and everything comes in relevance to the syllabus only. Exams are not that difficult, and the pass percentage in my course is above 30%.
Other: I chose this course as I have an interest in teaching and this is a very useful course for the same. I wish the time period (4 years) could be reduced to 3 years, it will be helpful. Events and fests are amazing as they serve a variety of learning and entertainment.

    Really good infrastructure.
Placements: Placement is about 60%, the highest package is 5 Lacs, the lowest is 2 Lacs. The school has 90% Gurukul teaching UPSC and defense exam preparation, where you can clear the base. All the schools have classes up to 8th grade. From there, you can apply to Google, Amazon, Facebook, Instagram, and startup companies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and library are available, but the Wi-Fi is very slow. There are no ACs, but in our department, there are ACs. The canteen is good with affordable prices. There are 3 canteens, and the staff is also good. There are many societies, and the administration is very smooth. Medical facilities are provided when needed.
Faculty: Yes, quality teaching is there. The course is relevant, year-wise, with 80% attendance required and 45% to pass. This course is professional and relevant all over India as well as outside. The teachers are very helpful, conscious, and knowledgeable.
Other: Those who want to prepare for any defense exam can choose this course for the base, as well as those who want to do teaching in the future.

All in the name of the college.
Placements: They offer you jobs in good schools, although the schools are mostly located in faraway locations. The number of placements offered to you is also very low. According to seniors, it's better that you try to get a job somewhere else and don't rely on the college for this. The lowest average package is approximately 2.5 LPA, and the highest goes up to about 8.5 LPA. So, not very high.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is aesthetically pleasing, and many facilities are provided, such as washrooms, labs, library, disabled-friendly walkways, lifts, playgrounds, garden, canteens, Wi-Fi, and an auditorium. However, the Wi-Fi doesn't work everywhere on the college premises. We have two DRCs in our college for student use, where we can use any computers at any time. The canteen's food quality is good, although a bit expensive. A new language lab has been added this year. The college has its own little nursery for growing plants and a recycling center. Medical and counseling facilities are available for the students too.
Faculty: Most of the professors in my course are well-qualified and passionate about teaching, but some don't even take classes regularly. Although recently there are fewer professors compared to the student body, which has affected the teaching-learning process in the classroom because there is a lot of workload on professors, and they are always stressed. This, in turn, affects their ability to provide individual attention to students and to be empathetic. We have a sort of spiral curriculum that is too lengthy and boring, but overall, it is academically enriched.

Absolutely lucky to have studied in miranda house, will never forget the experience here.
Placements: The placements for our course in our college occured during april-may. Many schools visited us. Mostly reputed schools like DPS, TGES, Heritage etc. Came and by the end of session 15-20percent of students got placed. The packages were as follows:- the lowest package- 25,000 per month. The highest package - 50,000 per month. Average package -30000-35000 per month. Top roles offered were of primary teacher, pre primary assistant teacher, tgt teacher for various subjects, art or dance teacher.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the best. We have free department Wi-Fi and also college Wi-Fi and in canteen too. There are various big and spacious labs for Chemistry Biology Maths Physics students and also for our course that is BEL. Ed, there is a resource room, where we find teaching aids and various books and magazines which are helpful for us throughout. There is basketball and lawn tennis court in our college, and other sports are also played by students. Hostel is good, there is home like food available three times a day and snacks in evening.
Faculty: Some teachers have been in the department since last 10-15 years and are very knowledgeable and helpful. The teaching quality varies from teacher to teacher. Some teachers do not teach and just read out handouts. The course curriculum includes theories and child psychology and internships in schools through all four years of course which provide us much needed teaching experience. As we make lessons plans and get chance to teach in government and private schools in Delhi, and an innovative school visit (in organizations like eklavya or digantar are done) in some remote area of country is also done. Exams are not hard, everyone studies and pass, the pass percentage is around 85-95 percent.
Other: Everyday some or the other event goes on in college which provides us exposure and knowledge of different fields. The crowd is good and people around are always helpful and welcoming. Its a girls college, we all here grow together to become strong, helpful and independent women. Campus is lush green, soothing and peaceful. You will love the red walls and make cute CAT friends here.

I am satisfied with this college because of its good faculty members and good infrastructure.
Placements: B.El.Ed offers placements to 80% of students, with 100% provision of internships in the 4th year. The highest salary package may go up to 8.4 LPA, and the average is around 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel is beautiful, with big lawns, 2 common rooms, an organised mess, washrooms, and a guest room. The hostel is a very old building. It was designed in 1948. There are two buildings. Those are the old block and the new block. The lack of coolers in the hot weather of Delhi is the only problem.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They are punctual and responsible for their work. They are helpful to all students without any kind of discriminatory behavior. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students ready for the arena they are entering. Exams conducted are moderate. The pass percentage is 80%. The course provides a holistic environment for students, with many opportunities opened for the future.

Satisfied with faculty, but not with infrastructure.
Placements: The placement at MIRANDA HOUSE in B.El.Ed is good enough. The highest salary is around 42k and the schools that do the recruitment of the students are mostly reputed schools with good salary packages. Example: The Delhi Public School, Delhi. The top roles offered in my course are primary teacher.
Infrastructure: The canteen food in Miranda is just awesome; every variety is available with good taste. The Wi-Fi outside doesn't work properly, which is a bad part, and there are no ACs in the library, but books are available, so no worries. There are fewer sports equipment, so the college should work on that.
Faculty: The faculty and teachers are highly qualified and they are helpful too. Yes, the course curriculum is good and it prepares the students. In B.El.Ed, there are no semester exams, but exams are held yearly and the level is moderate. The previous year's question papers are really helpful.
Other: I chose B.El.Ed because it's a multidisciplinary course which will help me in the future for CIVIL service exams. One thing that bothers everyone in this course is that it's very hectic. The classes generally start from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm. The fests are good, and extracurricular activities are also present. The crowd in Miranda is very joyful.
