Q:   What is the BA Hons (English) cut-off for Miranda House?

A:

There is no cutoff released for BA Enlish (Hons) courses started 2022. Great college for admission.
Placements: Our college covers everything if a student is granted an internship opportunity. They'll make plans to travel wherever it is. Although the UK, USA, and other countries are among the possibilities that are given, we have no clue regarding internship firms. According to my seniors and faculty members, we can be chosen by the corporation starting in our second year. It is desired to visit companies such as Amazon, Reliance, and Tata. The average salary package offered is 7 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 34.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: As an in-house festival, students from other institutions are not permitted to attend our annual event named The Tempest. It is a very colorful festival. This typically occurs in April. With books, periodicals, and magazines of all kinds, our library is aesthetically pleasing. It is immaculate, and the volumes are in fantastic shape. Our classrooms are large, but just a few of them have air conditioning. We also have sophisticated classrooms. Basketball, volleyball, and lawn tennis are our primary sports, and both ordinary and ECA students are welcome to participate.
Faculty: The student-teacher ratio is quite favorable. One professor per 250 students is about right. However, in other classes, such as political science honors, the faculty-to-student ratio might be troublesome, which hurts students. For assessment purposes, faculty members in practically every course take ongoing and internal assessments on a regular basis.

Satisfied with the college as it has good infrastructure, faculty, and a range of societies.
Placements: The highest and average package offered during Miranda House placement in 2023 was INR 21.5 LPA and INR 8.97 LPA. Apart from this, the highest stipend offered during the Miranda House placements in 2023 was 60,000 rupees. The top recruiters were DW Shawarma and Co, Accenture, and KPMG Global Services.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are very spacious with ACs in almost all of them. The Wi-Fi reach is also quite satisfactory. The library is my favorite part of the college because of its quiet and amazing atmosphere. The infrastructure is also very good. The canteen food is delectable, but the prices are a little high. The college offers extravagant sports facilities with a wide variety.
Faculty: Initially, the teachers for my core subjects were not very good, as they were taking lectures just for the sake of taking them and were not interested in our development. But now, since the faculty has changed, I am satisfied as the new teachers are knowledgeable and are also interested in helping us.
Other: My first-course preference was Geography Hons, but because of the high cutoffs, I couldn't get it. So, in order to pursue my interest in geography, I decided to take B.A. Multidisciplinary with Geography as my major. The college offers a wide range of societies like dance, music, consumer care, creative writing, etc., which give students a chance to develop new skills and make themselves different from the crowd.

Professors beed to be quality ones.
Placements: Placements are available only for the economics courses that too very less. Hardly there are any placements for science or other courses. Neither there are aby workshops or guidance from faculty to appproch the placements. The individual staff council societies however add value to your skill set
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good in the sense of vibe however there is inadequacy of classrooms, benches, no wifi at all . There is no enough infrastructure for the disability section. Hostel facilities deteriorate day by day with the incharges just swaying off their work.
Faculty: Very few teachers are serious un studies or guiding the students. There goes equal internal politics in all the areas of extra curricular among students as well as teachers. Due to NEP everything is so messed up be it curricular or anything. There are strict concerns about attendance preventing students to be active in ecas or outside college activities.
Other: There are no enough support for students pursuing outside courses, or research internships.

Affordable college which provides with extensive exposure opportunities.
Placements: Since I'm pursuing a B.A. in political honors. Placements are quite unusual but as per my experience, even in courses like economic honors, we are not able to grab big bids. We had amazing opportunities. Some extremely well-known companies like Uniqlo, KPMG, etc., visit the college. The highest salary package offered on campus is 21. The salary package offered off-campus is high. Miranda is the best to grab opportunities and exposure than packages.
Infrastructure: It has one of the most beautiful infrastructures of Delhi University. Everything is top-notch including Wi-Fi and labs. I'm currently enrolled in a hostel, and I would say I'm enjoying it all. It is an amazing experience with the food.
Faculty: To be honest, faculty members are very sweet but administrative works are often delayed. They are up to the mark. The course in itself is very vast and intellectual. The availability of taking SEC, VAC, and GE makes us prone to wider subjects making it much more intriguing. We have exams for 90 marks. Passing isn't really tough but attendance and internals are huge.

Very Best College, I like everything about the college.
Placements: The placement in our college is prioritized by the degree the students choose. The MBA students get into jobs through college placement. I don't know about the other departments, but the MBA and Arts students are mostly prioritized when it comes to placements.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are quite good, and there are two-seater and four-seater rooms. Girls and boys have different buildings and campuses. Girls' hostels are well-maintained, with many buildings in different areas. For meals, we get breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dinner is mostly non-veg. Lunch consists of dal, chawal, and sabji, which varies every day. We have a large kitchen and dining area. Students prefer to eat together in the spacious dining hall, while some prefer to eat in their rooms. The food is fresh, and there is a mess system with a mess manager. Hostel rooms are well-furnished, with proper lighting, which is easy for students' hygiene, and good toilet facilities.
Faculty: I chose the course for my Ph.D. The student-to-faculty ratio was good, and the faculty was very good. The teachers were well-experienced and very professional. I love the environment of the college. I attended several programs there, like sports competitions and essay writing competitions, where I got 1st prize.

The crowd is great and campus is beautiful.
Placements: 21 lpa is the highest package and 4.5 lpa is the lowest package. Zee Media, Urbanclap, Thomson Reuters, IDBI Federal, Nexus, Tata, Wipro, Amazon, Byju's, etc. are the top recruiters. The number of offers last year was 69 and 51 offers for internships, with stipends ranging from 1500 to 35,000. Botany does not offer high-paying jobs, unlike other courses but we do have scope for research. Internships within the department during summer break are often sought after. Top roles offered are environment consultant, researchers, agricultural biologist educators, etc.
Infrastructure: Campus is green with old red stone architecture; classes are spacious with huge windows overlooking the front lawn. The library is good and facilitated with most of the required books and computers. The canteen, along with Nescafe and PAM Cafe, serves great food, although it gets busy quickly during breaks. The sports complex has courts for basketball, volleyball, and lawn tennis. The sports ground is big enough to host games and activities. The hostel has two rooms for medical help, one on the main campus and another near the hostel. Apart from it, each department has its own first aid box and a stash of some over-the-counter medications. Wi-Fi is provided only for faculty, libraries, and computer labs.
Faculty: The faculty is good, but the way teaching may be old-fashioned (speaking for botany only). The curriculum seems to be ever-evolving, which still needs to improve certain aspects like the distribution of hours assigned to each subject or the sequence in which they must be taught. The college does offer opportunities for externships as well as internships. Seminars are often held to help students navigate career choices, but it may vary considering the course one chooses. Semester exam is moderately difficult; one can score well with little effort, although scoring above average requires hard work.
