B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2025
4.2
4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Mixed experience throughout the Acemedic journey, good placement but campus is not so big.
Placements: I'm doing a B.Tech in mechanical engineering (2025 batch). So far, the placement situation has improved, even though there was a recession this year. The major recruiter is JSW, with a CTC of 8 LPA. But the internship opportunities provided by the college for our batch are excellent. They are placing students for internships on a large scale.
Infrastructure: Every department has its own Wi-Fi per floor. Classrooms are big, and ventilation is also good. The library has a wide area for studying, and those who want to read borrowed books from the library have access to a separate space. We (students, faculty members, and staff) have access to the e-library as well. The college has two canteens. The old one is not so good; though the food quantity is higher, the quality is not good. The new one is improving fairly.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. Most faculty members have Ph.D. degrees, so there is a lot of knowledge to gain from them. The college provides extra courses to prepare students for industry life. For example, there's a course on industry and interview ethics. Also, they take mock interviews every now and then. The exams are not very difficult. There are two exams per semester: the first one is the mid-sem, and the second one is the end-sem. If you score well in the mid-sem, then you just have to focus on passing the subject. Practical exams are easy here.
Other: The college provides specialization for courses, but they provide it as an elective from the third year of the degree, not from the second year.

Good placement in 2022, average infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: This college has average placement for mechanical students. JSW Company is specially for mechanical students. The college also has more opportunities for internships, including international internships in the past few years.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and library are good. The library has a very nice reading room. The hostel is good, and the mess and canteen are nice. The sports facilities are very good.
Faculty: The faculty is very nice, and the teaching quality is good. The semester exams are easy. The pass percentage is 40% in all subjects for all semesters. The semester exams are medium-level, and the college does a good job of preparing students for industry.

B.Tech. in Computer Engineering - Batch of 2026
2.8
3Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
Good faculty, is known for its strong engineering programs.
Placements: 50% got internships for this year. It is actually changing every year. It was larger in past years but getting less placed in those years. 28-35 is the highest, 4 is the lowest, and 12-15 is average. Cisco, Infosys, Tata, and many other companies visit our college. It was less this time; not many students got internships. I don't have any idea about that.
Infrastructure: Labs, classrooms, but Wi-Fi is only available in some classrooms, 24 hours of electricity, cool and hygienic drinking water. Our college doesn't have its own hostel; it did at first, but after COVID, they don't provide a hostel. The hostel I am staying in has Wi-Fi, laundry machines, a fridge, and the mess quality is good but sometimes average in taste. There are no medical facilities, no sports, no games.
Faculty: Some of them put great effort into teaching, like our Advanced Data Structure sir. It's because of him I understand everything and I know everything about it. And some don't even try; they just teach because it's their job. But some subjects have more hours of teaching which are not even necessary, like Universal Human Values. It has 5 hours of teaching in one week. It is way too difficult for some subjects as they give some logical, application-based questions which are confusing sometimes, but still, if we study properly for every one of them, it gives us relevant knowledge. 40% is the passing criteria for every subject, and it is different for every exam, like a different passing percentage for end term exam (40%), different from internal and midterm, and 40% different for practical, so it gets difficult sometimes.
Other: Interested, that's why, and it has more scope in the future. Events, teaching, and college hours should not be ignored.

MITAOE: Behind the reputation of MIT.
Placements: The number of placed students, even if shown as more, is still less as compared to the actual intake of the college, but we have to admit that those who are placed get into very good companies. Yes, there are a few mass recruiters as well, but if you work hard, the college also provides placement into good companies like AWS.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel for MITAOE, as they tore the hostel down to make the design building instead, causing problems for all the out-of-city students who instead have to keep looking for accommodation from time to time. The college canteen is very hygienic, but then which isn't? There is a basketball court available and a ground where multiple events are hosted. The medical facilities are just as good as any school nurse's room, and the Wi-Fi is slower than BSNL.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable, and each teacher has their own unique way of teaching students. The curriculum is made in a way that it is helpful for real industry experience. Although the subjects might seem to be difficult, thanks to the teachers, the passing percentage is rather very good.
Other: I have always wanted to be a software engineer and hence chose the computer science course, and I am very happy with what the college is providing. One of the best things about MITAOE is the Nakshatra college fest, which gathers students across all courses to come together in a celebration that goes on for 10 days, filled with dance, sports, competitions, and much more.

Excellent placements, decent industry exposure, unreliable faculty, and bad campus life.
Placements: Excellent placements, serving all the good and average students. In my 2022 batch, the highest packages were 12.5+ LPA. The average was around 6-7. And there were plenty of mass recruitments. The placement cell is enthusiastic about pushing students for drives and getting them placed.
Infrastructure: Hostels have been discontinued. The labs and classrooms are just fine. For comp engg, students prefer their own devices, but the labs are well equipped just in case. Internet speed is good, cleanliness across the campus is ideal, and the sports facility is subpar.
Faculty: Faculties are a gamble, some excellent, some average, and about half of them useless. Cannot rely on faculties except for a minority of good ones. Curriculum and exams are top-notch, though. The curriculum is regularly revised based on student surveys and industry trends.
Other: Events, fests, and campus life are rather disappointing, if not depressing. In my 2018-2022 batch, I had to pay about 6 lakh rs to the institute, excluding living expenses.

Dissatisfied with the campus and fees are too high and no facilities are given.
Placements: The highest placement for computer engineering was about 26 LPA and the lowest was about 2.5 LPA. As of around 60% placement, Cisco does visit the campus but only gives placement to 1-2 students, and mostly mass recruitment takes place. I suggest you not pay 1,91,737.
Infrastructure: Talking about the infra, there are no sports facilities or a ground, and no proper management. The campus is under development as the number of seats increased, new students are coming, and they don’t have enough land. The college hostel is out of campus and is costly; rather, try to take a private hostel. The canteen is good.
Faculty: Till now, faculty members have seemed helpful, but there are some teachers you need to be careful of. So, I suggest you stay in the good books of teachers; otherwise, your marks will be affected. You need mandatory 75% attendance, and the college is strict about attendance.
Other: I chose this course because I am an OMS candidate, and the fees are too high. There is no campus life, and the infra is too low as per the fees. There are no facilities at all, so I suggest you take the seat only if you are from some category and don’t pay the full 1,91,000 fees.

Q:   Can I get MIT Academy of Engineering, B.Tech with 88% in JEE Main?

A:

The eligibility criteria for B.Tech admission at MIT Academy of Engineering (MITAOE) require a minimum aggregate of 60% in the 10+2 examination or securing 60% in Physics, Mathematics, and any one of the optional subjects. Additionally, admissions at MITAOE are conducted through a merit-based counseling process based on the score obtained in the JEE Main examination. The eligibility criteria and the admissions process indicate that a score of 88% in JEE Main, which roughly translates to a high percentile, is competitive and may make a candidate eligible for the counseling process. The final admission would depend on the specific cutoff scores and the overall performance of the candidate in the counseling process, which can be influenced by factors such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the entrance exam, and the availability of seats in the specific branch. Therefore, while a score of 88% in JEE Main is a strong achievement, the actual admission would depend on the specific cutoff scores and the overall competition among the applicants. It is advisable for candidates to refer to the official MITAOE website or contact the admissions office for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the cutoff scores and the admission process for B.Tech at MITAOE.
