Our college is a place to strive, serve and care.
Placements: Around 100% of MBBS graduates get placed, and 20 students go for post-graduation. Around 30 join CHCs, and PHCs as medical officers by clearing the OPSC examination on a contractual basis, easily outscoring the students from 6 other government medical colleges in our state. Around 100 to 200 get appointed. Around 200 to 220 go for higher studies or are employed on a permanent (via OPSC) or contract basis (CDMO interview). The highest salary package is for a medical officer posting via OPSC in a V4 region, the average salary being 1.2 LPM. The average salary package is Rs.80,000 per month for non-clinical PGs. The lowest salary is Rs.60,000 per month for junior resident doctors. The top recruiting company is OPSC. Around 100% get 1-year paid internship, in the same college. Top roles are as a junior resident or a medical officer in a certain CHC or PHC.
Infrastructure: There are 4 lecture theaters with a capacity of 300 students. All are centrally air-conditioned, fitted with jammers, to check the negative usage of internet, and Wi-Fi. There is a 6-story laboratory building, centrally air-conditioners, Wi-Fi, ELISA facility, multi utility centrifuge systems, backed for culture sensitivity testing, and pathological facilities to evaluate biopsy, and smears. Our laboratory complex houses, all non-clinical and para-clinical facilities. Rest every other clinical department has its indoor complexes which are labs for sole usage. Library is also centrally air-conditioned, with Wi-Fi, and has every known book by every esteemed author. There are 5 hostels for UG, gents hostel no 1,2,3,4, and ladies hostel. The food in the mess is not fantastic, safe, hygienic, and well-cooked, with less oil and spices that will prevent constipation and gastric issues completely. There is an indoor badminton complex, a basketball court, and a playground, with a walking paved path of 837 meters, inside which we can play cricket, football, and field hockey.
Faculty: Teachers are always supportive, assisting us in research works, surveys. They are qualified and have a PG or MD or MS degree after MBBS. It makes everyone ready to become a medical officer. Semester exams are tough. The pass percentage was 95. 2 in 1st MB, 96% in 2nd MB, the result of 3rd MB part-1 is still to come.
Other: I chose this course in an attempt to channelise my energy for the greater good of society. Little did I know, I'd begin to love what I was pursuing and that would be it. It is real, fascinating, difficult yet lovable, and worthwhile to struggle for. Our campus ought to have a complete boundary. Its construction has already begun. Our fellow medicos who join by 2022 would see a completely fenced campus. We have an annual function, that's the biggest event. We had a stand-up stalwart last year in which Zakir Khan was invited. We organise an intermedial fest every three years, where every medical college in Odisha participates and competes in academic events, sports events, and cultural events. At Paradise 2022, we were fortunate enough to have Ash King perform for us this year.

I am right now dissatisfied due to faculty issues.
Placements: It's a health care course offered by our college funded by the government of Odisha. Basically, all MBBS and nursing and DMLT and DMRT courses are done here. We serve people in our state and may be outside our state too. We are proud that we save the lives of our country's people.
Infrastructure: The hostel has accommodation with a mess and a canteen within it. The rooms are average, not bad though. Food is awesome and the electricity bills are paid once a year included in our hostel fee. Sports and games are played here not frequently but definitely.
Faculty: Though these days, our government is going mad and opening medical colleges like cats give birth to their babies. Hope government understands good faculty members are required in this college. Neither of the colleges is getting better in our state.
Other: I want to get into medicine so I chose MBBS. There should be mental health and education along with counseling for medical students. Functions and rest are good here.

It may not be the college of your dreams but makes your dreams become reality.
Placements: There is 100% placement. The highest salary offered is Rs.85,000 per month, the lowest salary offered is Rs.28000 per month, and the average salary offered is Rs.60000 per month. The top role offered is as a medical officer in district hospital, primary healthcare center, and community healthcare center. About 100% of students got internships in the affiliated hospital itself. The top role offered is medical officer.
Infrastructure: In our college, the classrooms are fully equipped for digital learning with centralised air-conditioner and Wi-Fi facilities. Labs are fully air-conditioned with the proper availability of the required apparatus. There is a central library which is a 5-storeyed building with Wi-Fi and centralised air-conditioned with the availability of almost all medical literature books relevant to the courses offered.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified and experienced in the proper training of budding doctors. This course makes the students capable enough to do basic medical interventions and handle medical emergencies. Semester exams in this college are above average. Almost 80-90% of students pass them easily.
Other: I chose this course because I always wanted to be a doctor and save lives. This course lets you know what amazing machinery your body runs in day-to-day life in great detail and how you, as a doctor, can contribute to the society. The course can be made more clinically oriented with difect interaction with patients. Almost every 3-4 months are organised by various departments. Annual fest is conducted every year and an intermedical fest is organised every 3 years with footfall of around 3500 participants across various medical colleges of Odisha. Campus hosts around 2000 budding doctors with PGs, SRs, JRs, and also specialists. Needy students are entitled to scholarships by the government. There is immense scope for extracurricular activities be it sports, athletics, cultural, literary, or dramatics you name it, we have it.
