Q:   What is the admission process for MIET Jammu courses?

A: 

MIET Jammu admission process begins with the release of application forms. Eligible candidates have to fill out the application form and pay the application feed before the deadline. Applicants are then shortlisted based on their score in the relevant entrance exam. Selected candidates have to pay the admission fee and visit the college campus for document verification round to cofirm their admission.

Model Institute of Engineering and Technology offers fifteen undergraduate and posgraduate courses in multiple streams and specialisations. The institute offers two flagship courses and they are MBA and BTech CSE. Apart from aforementioned courses, MIET offerd BA LLB, BCA, MCA, MTech, LLB, BBA LLB, BBA, BCom courses.  Admission to all the MIET Jammu courses entrance-based. The institute accepts national-level and state-level entrance exam to shortlists candidates form admission.

Best College In Jammu Is Always Miet.
Placements: The college has a good placement percentage. After completing the 6th semester, the college provides a placement for those who are eligible for it. The average CGPA applicable for placement is 6.1, the average package provided by the college is 3 LPA, and the highest package is 7 LPA. The companies that provide placement are Infosys, Wipro, IBM, TCS, etc.
Infrastructure: The library of the college is very big. I am personally very happy with the collection of books that are in the library. Our library provided a window of 10 days from the date of issue. Other facilities also use different technologies, including Bluetooth speakers, projectors, online classroom meetings, etc.
Faculty: Our college has the best professors with higher education and provides help and support to the students in their academic and other skills as well, and they also help in sports. They have an excellent level of teaching and provide knowledge about any topic.
Other: We have different societies that work continuously day and night to make the name of the college. If you talk about sports activities, every year our college organizes sports festivals.

My college is one of the top colleges in my state because of the education provided here.
Placements: About 60% of students got placements. The highest package offered was 7 LPA, the lowest was 2.5 LPA, and the average package was 4 LPA. Infosys, Wipro, BYJU'S, and HDFC Bank were the top recruiting companies for my course. 100% of students got internships from my course at top companies like Tata, Suzuki, Amazon, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: There was high-speed Wi-Fi provided to us. The labs were good, with high-quality projectors, the latest computers, etc. The classrooms were well-ventilated and had good furniture. The library consists of many thousand books that are helpful for our studies. The canteen provides us with good and fresh food. The college also has a dispensary, which has great first aid facilities. The food in the mess is very well-prepared and is very hygienic to eat. The playground is also very big and has a basketball court, a cricket ground, a hockey turf, and a football field.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful, highly qualified, and very well-versed in knowledge. The teaching quality was outstanding. Yes, the course curriculum was very relevant. It does make the students industry-ready. The exams are not that difficult, and the passing percentage is about 90% every semester.
Other: I was interested in programming languages, so I chose this course. You get to learn about technology, programming, coding, etc. With programming and coding, there should also be a subject to improve personality development.

Good campus life and facilities.
Placements: I am currently pursuing B.Teach in computer Science. This is my first semester. Mid sessional are going to start from 11th of november 2024. Last year the highest package was 15LPA which is the highest in the history of miet college. Average package was 3-4 LPA. Top recruiters are Infosys, Google etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is fine. Desks, Tube light, fans, blackboard and projectors are in good condition. Quality of food is good but the canteen food is quite costly. There are medical facilities, wi- fi network available in labs, classrooms. Serve rooms are available for camera and security.
Faculty: Teachers are highly educated and qualified. Faculty members are helpful. They are always ready for doubt clearing. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant. It offers only the topics and sub topics which are going to come in exams. Semester exams are quite difficult.
Other: I choose this course due to my interest in coding. I studied python, Java in 12th standard. Currently I am learning the basic C language. There are fests, counseling events, workshops etc.

Placements: Placement is based on student performance. The highest package is 12 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 LPA. The top recruiters are Infosys, TCS, Lido Learning, Cognizant, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, etc. Some of the roles offered are data analysts and project managers.

My experience in MODEL INSTITUTE ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY JAMMU.
Placements: Students with an average to maximum percentage scored in high school are placed in the course. The top recruiting companies are Hitachi and Infineon Technologies, which provide internships for students. Percentage and skills both matter in getting placements.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided in the college are good, and the teaching staff is well-behaved with the students and are very helpful and responsible towards them. The quality of the facilities provided is up-to-date. There is no complaint regarding that.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, which is better for students' education. The course they provide is relevant, which makes students ready for companies and industries. The level of the exams is also relevant for the students.
Other: Due to my interest in the technical field, I opted for this course as I couldn't opt for CSE for some reasons. This course gave me the opportunity to go into the technical field.

MIET is a autonomous college that has no relation with Jammu university.
Placements: More than 125 companies participated in last year. In last year more than 400 students participated for training and placement cell and more than 300 students get placed in good company with good package. College also provide internship programme for students.
Infrastructure: Faculty member behaviour is too good. The whole campus has Wi-Fi. Smart Classroom, library are also help us to learn. You can take any book from library also if the book is not related to your course you can take it from library for you knowledge and skills.
Faculty: Before exam teacher takes dummy test so that we can learn the pattern for our exam. The mid semester exams are not such difficult. They provide real life cases in programming and how does they work on this or that. They train us for all conditions which come during programming.

Model Institute of Engineering and Technology has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

B.E. / B.TechCandidate must have passed Diploma in engineering or an equivalent degree from a recognised board.
B.A. (Hons)The management, however also, selects students under the NRI/Management sponsored/other quota seats as per the regulations prescribed by the AICTE and the State Government.
B.Com (Hons)Candidates appearing in the 10+2 final examination in March are also eligible to apply on a provisional basis.
BBACandidates appearing in the 10+2 final examination in March are also eligible to apply on provisional basis.
BBA LL.B. (Hons)Candidate appearing in the 10+2 final examination in March is also eligible to seek admission to BBA LLB (Hons.) only if he/she furnishes documentary evidence in support of his/her having passed the qualifying examination in full on or before 31st of July, or such other date as may be approved by the admission committee.
MBA/PGDMMust hold a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 pattern) Candidates appearing in the final year examination of Bachelor Degree in March /April are also eligible to apply on provisional basis.
M.E./M.TechCandidates completed B.E./B.Tech. or MCA/M.Sc.
