Is B.E./B.Tech at Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology Worth the Investment?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the key points:

    Infrastructure:
    * The college infrastructure is good, with modern facilities and amenities.
    * However, the hostel infrastructure is poor, with inadequate lighting, sanitation, and maintenance.
    * The college has a good library with a wide range of books and resources.

    Faculty:
    * Faculty members are generally qualified and experienced, although some may not have industry experience.
    * Some professors are helpful and supportive, while others may need improvement in teaching methods.

    Placement and Internship:
    * Despite the college claiming 100% placement, only around 25% of students actually get placed.
    * Many students have to rely on self-effort to find internships and placements, which can be challenging.
    * Although top companies like TCS and UST Global visit the campus, most students don't get selected due to a lack of skills.

    Campus Life:
    * The campus is large and peaceful, with good sporting facilities.
    * Cultural events and festivals are limited, and the college focuses more on technical aspects.
    * Student life can be quite monotonous, especially for those expecting a vibrant campus culture.

    Course Curriculum:
    * The course curriculum is relatively good, with a focus on theoretical knowledge.
    * Practical learning opportunities are limited, and students feel the need for more hands-on experience.

    Value for Money:
    * While the college provides decent infrastructure and faculty, the overall experience may not justify the cost of tuition fees.
    * Students may need to invest additional effort to secure internships and placements, which can add to their expenses.

In conclusion, while B.E./B.Tech at Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology may have some positive aspects, the limitations in infrastructure, placement opportunities, and campus life might lead students to question whether the investment is worthwhile.

Course Curriculum Structure for B.E./B.Tech at Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology

Based on the student reviews and feedback, here's an overview of how the course curriculum is structured:

    * Faculty Support: Faculty members are generally considered friendly and supportive. They provide daily notes for continuous preparation for exams and placements.

    * Industrial Exposure: While some students felt that there wasn't enough focus on industrial applications, others appreciated the industrial visits organized by the college (e.g., TCS Cochin).

    * Semester Exams: Exam difficulty varies depending on the teacher conducting the exam. Some students found the semester exams challenging, while others reported them being relatively easy due to teacher guidance.

    * Practical Knowledge: There's a desire among students for more practical knowledge and hands-on learning opportunities, particularly in areas such as programming languages.

Note that individual experiences may vary, but overall, the course curriculum seems to emphasize theoretical foundations, with some room for improvement in providing more practical application and industrial relevance.

    Absolutely dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: Only two of the students got jobs before passing out but they were not from campus placement. They researched on their own by registering for multiple interviews. Still, colleges take money in the name of campus placement. Some students of Bio-Technology were also placed after passing out. Most of the top companies come but due to a lack of skill, they refuse to take them. An internship is not given by the college.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good compared to hostel and the college washrooms are good. They have a good library and an online library. Labs are not well occupied with computers; some are not in working condition. College Wi-Fi isn't used by students other than in labs. Some of the students in the students in the class have no projectors. The hostel facility is too bad, mainly the bathroom, which is very hygienic; there is no proper light, not even a good sanitary dispensary. They pay establishment charges but they don't renovate it. Mainly, water is not cleaned properly; they don't clean it.
Faculty: Faculty are good but some of them don't have much knowledge of what they are teaching and some have good knowledge but don't know how to make it effective. Some of them don't even know how to solve a code in a computer program. During the semester exam, they give strict evaluations, don't support cheating and also support extracurricular activities. Pass percentage is above average.
Other: The course is good and its a nice time in class other than the incorrect timing of the teacher. There is only some cultural fest happening in our college and they take a huge amount of time other than first played. They always want money in one or the other hand. There are only a few students now in all departments other than computer science. Campus life is too boring for what I expected. I personally hate my college. I wish to improve the infrastructure of the hostel, make it hygienic and include more festivals.

It is a very good college.
Placements: Around 25% of students got placed in our course. Top companies won't visit our college. Our college does not provide internships. Students apply for placements and internships on their own. Our college offers 100% placements.
Infrastructure: We have a good library. We can borrow books from the library for 7 days. Classrooms and labs are well-developed. The lab has good machines. Our canteen is not well-developed. Our college does not provide medical facilities. Sports and games are less in our college.
Faculty: Some teachers are good. They are from this college only. They don't have experience. The semester exams are conducted by KTU and are difficult.
Other: The campus surroundings are good. I chose this college because it is near my house. The college rules are not good.

Eco friendly college with good infrastructure and many facilities.
Placements: Recently, many companies had arrived in our college for campus placement, such us TCS, UST Global, etc. There is a fair chance for securing a bright future from our college. The highest package offered in our college is approximately 40,000 and minimum is like 10,000.
Infrastructure: It's a nice campus with good infrastructure and lab facilities. The support they provide for co-curriculum activities is exceptional. Also, the facilities are provided for students who came to study from far away, with hostel facilities for both boys and girls .
Faculty: Experiences facilities with the ability to share their knowledge with the students. They play an important role in helping the students achieve higher marks. Also, their approach towards the students was so good. Semester exams were easy for the students because of the teachers.

Good placements in 2019, Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: In my class of 40 students, 28 students got placed in reputed companies. The average package is about 3 to 3.5 LPA. The recruiting companies are TCS, INFOSYS, GENROBOTICS, and other IT companies. Nobody got internships. The roles offered in my course are web developer, android developer, Java developer and so on.
Infrastructure: All facilities are alloted to the different branches. The campus is large. The hostels for bays and girls are inside the campus. The hostel can accommodate up to 300 students. The food provided on the canteen and mess is very good and hygienic. Our college gives full freedom in the area of sports and cultural programs.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and always friendly to the students. Their teaching is cent percent good. The pass percentage was 85 last year. The semester examinations are conducted by the University and are difficult. This course will give you knowledge in the IT area and make confident in the field.
Other: I am a Computer Science graduate so the course is helpful to improve my skills and programming language. I wish more practical knowledge should be given.

Extraordinary is the word I would like to use for the college.
Placements: Almost 70% of students were placed in several companies. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like UST Global, Tata Consultancy, and IBM visited the college. Almost 98% of students did internships for their courses in several industries located all over India. The top role that I selected was mechanical engineering.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available in the course or department were very excellent. They provided us with labs, good quality machinery, libraries which include different categories of books, and also Wi-Fi. The university also supported sports and games and also gave funding for these programs. The food was of good quality and was within a clean environment.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful in our college. They were very much qualified and knowledgeable. They were always ready to improve and make us more informative. The university also provided industrial visits and also has equipment that was needed for industrial purposes. The examination was conducted in a strict environment and the difficulty of the exam depends on your preparation.
Other: The reason why I chose mechanical engineering is that I was very interested in machinery and vehicles. The things which I would like to improve in this course is the scope of mechanical engineering in future years with more advanced technology. The college is covered with fests, extra curricular activities and scholarships. Every month, we would be having programs that make the students enjoy their college life.

I'm happy and satisfied to be a part of our college. Facilities and other amenities are really nice.
Placements: Placements provided for civil engineering students were not good enough. Only a few good companies visit here for placements, and less students get placed. Certain companies don't join students who got placed, which made them lose their chance to get placed in other companies also.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was very good, and all the facilities were available here. The quality of classrooms, library and other infrastructural facilities is good. The entire college is surrounded by greenery and has trees. The canteen was also really good, and the taste and quality of the food served in it were good.
Faculty: All the faculty members here were qualified and friendly, and the entire syllabus was completed on time. Assignments and monthly exams were also conducted properly to score internal marks. Teachers were friendly and were ready to help us at any time. They helped us to achieve a good score in exams.
Other: All types of functions, events and extracurricular activities are conducted. The atmosphere of the campus was also refreshing.
