Not satisfied due to no placements .
Placements: Very disappointed, despite rigorous training and academic excellence, only [10%] of students secured placements, with packages significantly below industry standards. This highlights the urgent need for stronger industry efforts and improved placement support.
Infrastructure: The hostel and course facilities are adequate, though not exceptional. Wi-Fi and labs are functional, classrooms are well-equipped, and the library is resourceful. Hostel rooms are clean, but the food quality is average. Basic medical and sports facilities are available.
Faculty: The faculty is generally qualified and helpful, though teaching quality can be consistent. The curriculum is relevant but needs more practical focus. Exams are moderately difficult, with a pass percentage around 75–85%, indicating an average level of rigor.

The college has good placements and faculty.
Placements: 60% of students got placed, and the highest salary package offered is 7 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies are Infosys, Amazon, Flipkart, Aeries Global etc. The internship rate is above 70%.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and labs are available. The canteen is not present in our college. Sports are available, and many students play games here.
Faculty: The teachers are good, helpful, and knowledgeable. Semester exams are conducted. The course does not make the students industry-ready, and exams are quite difficult.
Other: I chose this course because it is quite good to study. Events and festivals are conducted in this college.

The college is average but not at the range that the students will not be get good jobs.
Placements: There are many companies for our course life Infosys, Accenture, etc., that visit our college for placements.
Infrastructure: The college building construction is still in progress but the rooms are cleaned every day. The building is not so huge but quite smaller compared to other colleges.
Faculty: Our faculty members are good but it seems that the other faculty members are not good. The teaching of some of the lecturers is not so good too.

There are great placements in 2021 with average infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Compared to last year's placements, this year, the best placements are offered ever. From every branch, about 50% of students were placed in many reputed companies like Accenture, Wipro, Inflatable, Mindtree, etc., with the highest salary package of 6 LPA and the lowest salary package of around 2.5 LPA-3 LPA. Particularly in the CS branch, the students were placed with top roles like Java developer, DBA administrator, web developer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities offered by our college are average, but for the fee charged, I think it's worth it. Classrooms and labs are above-average since they are spacious and have good architecture. Wi-Fi is not offered for students, and it's only for faculty members working there. The food served in our college canteen is better. The menu is big, and prices are pocket-friendly.
Faculty: Teachers here are highly qualified and well trained in their respective courses. The teaching quality is very good in all branches they offer. They didn't offer many industry-oriented courses, but they somehow trained students to meet some basic requirements. Exams held semester-wise are very strict, and exams are conducted under CCTV surveillance. Overall, 70%-750% of students were able to pass exams easily.
Other: I chose the computer science course because I wish to engage myself in the development field. Moreover, the success rate is high regarding placements in this course. Events and fests were held occasionally, and 1 great event was organised during my 3rd year, where film celebrities and politicians were the chief guests. The crowd was overwhelmed. Scholarships were issued on time. Our college only tries to engage more in extracurricular activities like sports, industry visits or conducting seminars by many achievers to motivate students.

The college is awesome and beautiful.
Placements: Placements are quite decent in NITK. If you are expecting an average package of 30 LPA in civil, then you will definitely be disappointed, but the placements are surely satisfying here. This year, the placement rate is 67%. In civil, many students opt for further studies. Hence they don't opt for campus placements. So, that's a decent percentage if you compare other top colleges too. The average package offered in civil was around 6 lakhs per annum, this year, and the highest package was around 13 lakhs per annum. So, if you have some data about placements in the civil branch, even from IIT's, you will definitely find these numbers good. Here, L&T was the major recruiter in general. More than 30 students grabbed the top internships in the third year, and nearly 60% of the students got a direct internship from this college. There is a placement cell too, which is quite useful and helps you in grabbing good packages if you really want one.
Infrastructure: If you are expecting some shiny, well-polished infrastructure, then you will be disappointed. We have three lecture hall complexes like LHC A, B, and C. LHC-C is newly built and hence has top-level infrastructure and classrooms. Here, LHC-B is also good, but LHC-A is old, and you don't want your class to be there in the first years as the benches are not comfortable and the infrastructure will be in poor condition. Buildings for the departments like chemical and mechanical have been completed this year only, and hence, they have a very good infrastructure here. Maybe, this is not the case with civil, but the rest of the departments have a good infrastructure. We also have a huge library where you can find most of the books. There is a health care centre for students on the campus, but it remains closed on weekends, but the college here provides you a card using which you get discount or completely free services from the selected hospitals in Karnataka, up to Rs. 2 Lakhs. We also have a sports complex which is quite good and has a badminton court and a table tennis table. Besides, we have a good tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court and swimming pool. The size of the field is one thing that may disappoint you a bit. Many groups play cricket, football on the same field, and at times, it becomes irritating. Food in the canteen is quite good. We also have a Nescafe, 2 Amul outlets, ocean pearl and few other things too. Whereas, for the night, there are 4-night canteens. There are 4-night canteens from which you can have your food. If you are a North Indian, one major problem you will face is getting good non-vegetarian in the whole Surathkal, leave aside the college. The best part is the hostel because we have clean marbled floor rooms and clean washrooms.
Faculty: The faculty members of the first year are not that great, but from the second year onwards, the faculty are good here. You can't expect all the professors to be perfect, but a lot of them are good. In civil, there are two sections, and one class has around 50-70 students. Teachers used to teach in classrooms and also labs. Students do get industrial exposure from the faculty members. The course curriculum helps the students.
Other: Our cultural fest is among the best in India. You can even Google it. The campus is awesome, and the campus crowd is diverse, due to which you get people from all parts of the country, which is good. Our college is approximately 20 km away from Bangalore, but there are buses available almost every minute, so you can easily reach Bangalore at 25 rupees. The campus life here is the best part of NIT-K, and you enjoy it a lot. Here, scholarships are great too. There are events like Bharat, Darshan, etc., which shows the diverse culture of India through the performances of students. Our technical fest and engineering fest are great. There are sports and other competitions held regularly. You will have a lot to do if you are interested.
