B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science - Batch of 2022

Good infrastructure and facilities and good passout rate each year.
Placements: Software developer, full-stack developer, web developer, UI/UX designer, data analyst, database management specialist, graphic designer and 3D designer. L, Python programmer, etc. are the roles offered. The top recruiting companies included TCS, INFOSYS, Cognizant, Mahindra, WIPRO, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi labs but most components are old; renovation started recently during my passout; classroom with projector and air conditioning included. The canteen is in the middle of the college campus and has decent food. The library is well stocked and nice. Overall, no complaints.
Faculty: Our professor prepared us well for the semester exam. But when other students got their seats allocated from other colleges in our college, they said guarding was hard. It is also very strict during a normal internal exam. Also, students need a mandatory 75% attendance rate to qualify for the semester exam.
Other: The computer science department is excellent and our college hosts frequent cultural programs and freshers ceremonies.

It is the best college in Howrah.
Placements: About 40% of students were placed in our course. The salary offered ranged from Rs. 2000 per month to Rs. 5000 per month. Many companies came to conduct campus interviews because they get brilliant students and ideas from our college. About 40% of students got internships from our college.
Infrastructure: Good facilities and infrastructure were available. It had a library, a computer room, labs, etc. The food quality was very good. The hostel had good rooms. The bathrooms were clean. Very strict rules were followed at the hostels.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful. They delivered brilliant knowledge of their respective subjects. The course was relevant enough to make students industry-ready. Semester exams were hard for those who did not study. Professors were very helpful and cleared all our doubts.
Other: Our college had value for money. It also made students ready for their future.

The college is perfect for you, if you want to enjoy a fun and eventful college life.
Placements: The George Telegraph and IWSPL have offered various placements for students who have graduated or are pursuing graduation from our campus. And I am sure that in recent times, the college has improved very much compared to my time on campus. So there are many placement opportunities now and the alumni association is active in helping students with career counseling too.
Infrastructure: The labs are a bit outdated and the facilities are average, I would say. There is no hostel attached to the college, so you have to make a daily commute. But the college has great places to rest and a canteen that serves decent and healthy food. And the college campus is kept very clean, too.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful with student's queries and the curriculum is relevant too, but the semester exam guard was very tough. Although this is applicable to outside students, as a student at this college, you will get decent lab and library accommodations.
Other: I chose this course because my university has a good reputation and there were sufficient seats for me to enroll. The student union here is a bit overactive, though. So the wise choice would be to concentrate on your studies only and not get involved in student politics.

Our college has a good environment for studying purposes.
Placements: Our college does not provide placement opportunities for students. Passed-out candidates got placements. The salary packages are not offered by our college. Companies won't visit our college to recruit students.
Infrastructure: Our college provides us with all facilities. Our college has a well-equipped library, and it contains thousands of books. Our classrooms are neat and spacious. The hostel facility is not available in our college. Our college has a canteen. The food served in the canteen is good and affordable. Medical facilities are available in our college. Our college has a ground. Our college participates in state-level sports and performs very well.
Faculty: The best thing about our college is that it has highly qualified and friendly teachers. They teach us very well. Their way of teaching is good and proficient. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are conducted very strictly. Teachers don't show mercy on students if they fail.
Other: Our college is very good. Our college surroundings are good, but every time dust flies into the atmosphere because our college is in the middle of an industrial area.

It is the college that everyone should want in their life.
Placements: Very good placements are there. Many students have been placed from our college. About 60% students got internship from our college and 40% from my course.
Infrastructure: We have football and basketball teams that have won a lot of trophies over the years. The juniors are serving as well as the formers. The ground is too good and other facilities like canteen and mess are quite good. The food is very cheap but excellent in quality.
Faculty: The exams are quite tough which give us an experience to clear the harder ones. The semester exams are great. We study hard and get approximately 70% marks. The course is curriculum related and it makes students industry ready. The teachers are friendly.

Absolutely good in terms of academic curriculums, above average faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: The placements are not really lucrative since a B.Sc. degree, and most students go for higher education before they opt for any job. And also, since it's a traditional course and not a technical one, it's very unheard of for big companies to come here for placements, so more or less it depends on how much a student is willing to pursue higher studies.
Infrastructure: As far as I know, there is no hostel or mess available since it's a government college and not really a top-tier one. Situated in a location where not many students come here to study, if at all they require any kind of hostel or mess stay. And about the facilities and infrastructure, it's quite alright, depending upon the state of affairs nowadays, and we are able to go by without much hassle.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and cooperative; they are available for us students to go to for any doubts that we might be experiencing regarding our studies or anything. The course curriculum is certainly up to par, and it follows the current syllabus for Calcutta University perfectly. The semester exams standards are quite average as well, not hard, not easy.
