The NID DAT is a design aptitude test and does not assess academic performance. Candidates will be evaluated based on their design skills, creativity, and general knowledge. However, candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks to be eligible for the exam., you do need a minimum percentage in the 12th class for getting admission in the National Institute of Design (NID).

In 2023, the institute had a placement rate of 90%, with an average salary package of INR 12 Lacs per annum. The highest salary package offered was INR 30 Lacs per annum. The National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh (NID Vijaywada) has 75 seats available for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) curriculum. There are three disciplines in which these seats are divided:

-25 seats for industrial design

-25 seats for communication design

-25 seats for textile and apparel design

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories are also eligible to apply, in addition to the general seat intake. These seats are reserved in the following order:

-SC: Eleven seats, or 15% of the available seats,

The National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh's NID Vijaywada selection procedure for B.Des candidates is as follows:

Step 1: Complete the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Online Application form to be admitted to BDes and MDes.

Step 2: Take the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) exam according to the schedule and obtain the necessary percentile.

Step 3:

• Go to the NID Vijaywada, Andra Pradesh, official website.
• Select the Admission Tab and sign up with a working phone number and email address.
• Next, sign in to complete the form and upload the necessary scanned copies of your documents.
• It is required that the application cost be paid either offline—in the college office—or online, using any online payment method.
• Send in the completed form and print a copy for your records.

The eligibility criteria for admission to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme at NID Vijayawada, also known as the National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh, include the following:

Candidates must have passed or be scheduled to take their higher secondary (10+2) in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities, etc.) from a recognised board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE, or equivalent.

The basic eligibility for admission into B.Des is 10+2.

The selection process is based on the Design and Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted by NID Vijayawada.

 National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh or NID Vijayawada (NID Andhra Pradesh or NID Andhra Pradesh) admission is closed for admission session 2022. The NID DAT result for BDes was announced on July 27. Candidates who have been shortlisted as NID DAT 2022 scores are invited to attend counselling.
