The National Institute of Fashion Technology offers a four-year full-time BFTech course at the UG level. Candidates seeking admission to the BFTech course need to appear for an entrance examination comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT). Shortlisted candidates of the entrance examination are then required to appear for a Personal Interview (PI) round. 

NIFT Patna cutoff 2024 was concluded for all the UG and PG courses. For the same course, the closing cutoff was 1812 in 2023, while in 2022, the cutoff closed at 1513 for the candidates belonging to the General AI quota. 

No, there is no scope of joining NIFT Patna or any other NIFT Campus without appearing for the NIFT Entrance exam. The NIFT entrance exam is conducted by the NIFT Delhi and it is the common and only gateway for admission to NIFT.

The NIFT registration process is generally conducted in the month of November and the exam is conducted in the month of April.   

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Patna admissions are based on entrance exam. NIFT Patna offers degree and certificate programmes at the undergraduate (UG) and post-graduate (PG) level. NIFT 2024 tentatively in the 1st week of November 2023. The application form will open online at niftadmissions. In. The National Institute of Fashion Technology will also release the detailed admission notification, including the eligibility criteria, at the time of release of the application form or sometime thereabout. Candidates who meet the precribed eligibility criteria for their programme can fill out the NIFT 2024 application form before the last date. Note that NIFT application form will be for admission to the B. Des, M.Des B.FTech M.FTech and MFM courses offered by participating colleges.

Admissions at National Institute of Fashion Technology are entrance based. There is an entrance exam conducted by the institute named as NIFT test. The test includes various parts like Creative ability test, general ability test, group discussion etc. The students need to qualify in the entrance exam in order to get admission. Cutoff will be released based on the number of seats and applications. Students need to qualify in the cutoff rank also. The cutoff rank for B Des fashion designing in 2023 was 1692. All the courses will have different cutoff which students can check on the official website.

The candidate will need the following documents to participate in the NIFT 2024 counselling process: Class 12/ degree mark sheet and certificate. Further, if the candidate is seeking admission to the PG course, then the candidate will also have to upload mark sheets and certificates of the qualifying degree examination.

In case of candidates who have appeared for the qualifying exam/ compartment (of final year/semester) and the result is due need to upload the date sheet /admit card for the examination. Other documents required are a Birth certificate, Category certificate, Medical fitness certificate, signed by a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format in original.

As per the current procedure, there is no scope to pay the NIFT 2024 application fee using demand draft. In fact, the candidate has to pay the NIFT application fee 2024 online using online payment gateway, including credit card, debit card, or net banking. Note that unless the application fee has been paid successfully, the NIFT 2024 application form filling process will not be considered complete. The NIFT 2024 application fee for general category is INR 3,000. Meanwhile, SC, ST, and PwD candidates only need to pay INR 1,500. It is recommended that candidates pay the fee specific to their category, or else the candidate may not be considered for admission.
